Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are three things that we must heed to enter the New Jerusalemas follows:
- The Book of Life. Our name must be written in it.
- A pure river of water of life. It is the power of Holy Spirit.
- The Tree of Life.
We learn the second point, namely a pure river of water of life.
Revelation 22:122:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. The river proceeds from the throne of God to the barren world that is like wilderness. The river is the Holy Spirit that is born as a man in the persona of Jesus as the savior for all sinners.
John 4:4-64:4 But He needed to go through Samaria. 4:5 So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar, near the plot of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 4:6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour.A pure river of water of life or Holy Spirit also flows to Samaria or the Gentiles. This is the mercy of God for the Gentiles.
John 4:11-144:11 The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water?4:12 "Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?"4:13 Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,4:14 "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."The Gentiles face two wells or the sourcesof wateras follows:
1. The Jacob's well = the water source in the world. It is the wealth, knowledge, position, the joy and the friendship of world, and many more. It makes dryness, thirst, and perdition together with the world.
2. The water source from the throne of Heaven = the Holy Spirit. It will never end but it flows until it reaches the throne of Heaven, the eternal life in the New Jerusalem.
The Gentiles prefer to the Jacob's well or the water source from the world. The condition of the Gentiles without Holy Spirit is as follows:
- The bitter heart.
John 4:9
4:9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
Envy, hatred, grudge, and spite will make the bitter life.
- The ruin of marriage and children.
John 4:18
4:18 "for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly."
- No dealing with Israel = one cannot be one in the body of Christ.
John 4:15 4:15 The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."The correct way is that the Gentiles must yearn (being encouraged by the Word) for having the pure river of water of life that flowsfrom the throne of Heaven to the eternal life. The conditions are as follows:
- Keeping the marriage and children according the Word and pleasant before God.
John 4:16-18
4:16 Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
4:17 The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,'
4:18 "for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly."
It starts from marriage that must be in righteousness and honesty (NOUN).
Colossians 3:18-21
3:18 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
3:19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
3:21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
The journey of marriage is as follows:
- A wive obeys her husband, so the marriage will not be ruined for Jesus becomes the head of marriage.
- A husband loves his wive as he loves himself and does not do bitterly toward her, but being firm according the Word.
- The children obey the right parents according the Word, so the house becomes beautiful, happy, and in the ambience of Heaven.
- The fathers do not provoke their children or make them discouraged by forcing the will that is not according to the Word or following the wrong will of the children.
- Seeing the fields of God.
John 4:34-36
4:34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
4:35 "Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
4:36 "And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
It means prioritizing the ministry that is pleasant for God as follows:
- Doing the will of God = obedience.
- Finishing His works = being faithful and fervent until the end line.
Revelation 3:8
3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
Having Obedience and faithfulness means receiving the key of David to open the doors. Even though we are small and powerless, God will open the door of ministry that cannot be shut or imitated by anyone. It continues until the door of Heaven is opened for us.
- Leaving the waterpot or the old earthen vessel = the old sinful life that makes our life bitter.
John 4:28-29
4:28 The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men,
4:29 "Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?"
By the encouragement of the Word that points at the sins, we can realize and confess the sins to God and others. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore.
John 4:10
4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."
It is like giving the sour wine mingled with gall for Jesus on the cross. All the sins and curses are covered and finished by Him on the cross.
Jesus is able to give the new wine that is the source of water of life or Holy Spirit which is flowing, anointing, filling up our life abundantly until we never wither anymore.
The results are as follows:
- Holy Spirit gives the satisfaction of Heaven, so we can give thanks.
John 7:37-39
7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
7:39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
We do not seek for the apparent satisfaction in the world that makes us fall in the sin of Babylon.
We can testify about what God has done in our life. Holy Spirit flows to others.
We can worship God. Holy Spirit springs up to the throne of Heaven. We have connection with God and experience the ambience of the throne of Heaven. We never wither in spiritual and physical life.
- Holy Spirit purifies us to the depth of our heart.
Revelation 22:1
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
We can obey the Word even tough we must experience the sprinkling of blood. It means Obedience until the flesh does not speak anymore.
1 Peter 1:2
1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
Holy Spirit renews until we are clear as crystal or honest. We become the house of prayer.
When we are honest and obedient, Holy Spirit is able to care our life in the midst of difficulties in the world. From nothing to something. The impossible becomes possible. Holy Spirit is able to finish all impossible problems.
It continues until we are changed to become perfect to greet Jesus' second coming up to entering the throne of Heaven.
God blesses us.
