(To Coincide with Fasting Prayer Service Session III)Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:9-20 is about the vision of John at Patmos Island.
Revelation 1:91:9 I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of Godand for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
John was cast to Patmos Island to suffer in the flesh without any sin but the will of God (because of the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ), thus he experienced three things as follow:
- [Verse 9] Entering the true fellowship according to the true teaching Word.
- [Verse 10-16] Seeing and hearing a loud voice as of a trumpet or being shepherded truly and well so he could see two things, namely the seven golden lampstands (the perfect church) and the persona of Jesus in glory.
- [Verse 17-20] Falling at Jesus’ feet.
Revelation 1:171:17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
Falling at Jesus’ feet means being able to worship God with a broken heart or the flesh does not sound anymore as dead.
John has the Word of God (the Table of Showbread) and the testimony of Jesus Christ (the Golden Candlestick), but without the Golden Altar of Incense. Such situation is very dangerous because one may become the target of Antichrist.
Revelation 12:1712:17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of Godand have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
There are two possibilities if we are left at the age of antichrist as follows:
- One who refuses to worship the antichrist or receive the seal 666will be tormented by the antichrist until being beheaded, but he will be raised in glorious body when Jesus comes a second time.
- One cannot endure the torment, so he worship the antichrist and receive the seal 666. One will be pleasant physically, not be tormented, but become the same as the antichrist who will perish forever.
We are allowed suffering in the flesh together with Jesus in every way. It is not to destroy us, but to build our spirituality until we can worship God with a broken heart, the flesh does not sound anymore, and we are free from the antichrist.
The meaning of the broken heart is as follows:
- Longing the Word of God more than anything.
Psalm 119:20
119:20 My soul breaks with longingfor Your judgments at all times.
We experience the work of true teaching Word to show and sanctify our sins.
Psalm 51:1-3, 18-19
51:1 To the Chief Musician.
51:2 A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
51:3 Have mercy upon me, O God,according to Your lovingkindness;according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
51:18 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;you do not delight in burnt offering.
51:19 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, abroken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
The life that lives in sin cannot keep the truth and holiness of marriage. It is not worthy in front of God.
David experienced the work of the hard teaching Word that was preached by Nathan the prophet. Thus, David was broken in heart and confessed the sin. After being forgiven, he did not sin anymore. The life becomes priceless in front of God.
Isaiah 57:15
57:15 For thus says the High and Lofty Onewho inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit,to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
One with a contrite heart can come to God’ throne and fall at His feet.
- Respecting the sacrifice of Christ.
Luke 20:17-18
20:17 Then He looked at them and said, “What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejectedhas become the chief cornerstone’?
20:18 Whoever falls on that stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder.”
The practices are as follows:
- Suffering without sin willingly.
It is like squeezing the fruit of wine (squeezing the flesh) so we change from carnal men to spiritual ones. Life changing means bearing the fruit.
2 Corinthians 4:16
4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
The life renewal starts from mouth saying truth and good words, being strong and of good courage, not being disappointed or hopeless facing all problems, not being proud but always giving thank.
- Surrendering all to God.
It is putting all our life on the sacrifice of Christ or hoping fully to the mercy of God. It is a broken heart that is able to come to the throne of God.
Revelation 22:1
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
The water of life (the Holy Spirit) flows in our life, anoints, and fills up our life. The results are as follow:
- The river of water of life is able to give and care our life physically and spiritually.
Romans 8:11
8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Physically, the power of Holy Spirit is able to care our life in the midst of impossibilities in this world.
Romans 8:13
8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Spiritually, Holy Spirit is able to put to death the deeds of the body or the sin (worms of sin) so we receive the spiritual life which is life in truth and holiness to eternal one.
- The river of water of life is able to give the eternal satisfaction or the joy of heaven in the wilderness of the world.
John 4:13-14
4:13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,
4:14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
We testify to fellows (flow to others) or build the body of Christ. We testify about the gospel Word or Good News to others so they can believe and be saved in Jesus. We testify about the Bride Tidings to the saved people so they can be purified and perfected.
We worship God (spring up) means receiving Jesus as the Head or the One who is responsible of our life.
Without the water of life, the Gentiles are like the woman of Samaria who always thirsts until falls in sin up to the peak of sin, to enter the building of the Babylon’s body that will perish.
- The river of water of life is able to cleanse us.
Revelation 22:1
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
The river of water of live is able to purify and change our life to become as clear as crystal. It means honesty and trust. This is the spiritual miracle.
The physical miracle also happens like Mary and Martha that face the death of Lazarus for four days.
Honesty and trust result in miracle. Lazarus that who has been dead and rotten for four days can be raised. The things that have been rotten can become good, the failure can become successful and beautiful in time, the ruined one will be recovered by God, and the impossible one can become possible.
Until Jesus comes a second time, we will become as glorious as He is and enter the throne of heaven forever.
God blesses us.
