Speaker: Deacon Youpri Ardiantoro
Matthew 27 refers to
the seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of Covenant in Tabernacle teaching.
It means the suffering Jesus experiences until He dies on the cross in order to save, sanctify, and perfect us.
We are learning the third sprinkling of blood, namely the soldiers mock Jesus.
Matthew 27:27-3127:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him.
27:28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him.
27:29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
27:30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.
27:31 And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.
The mockery Jesus experiences is as follows.
- The soldiers put a scarlet robe on Him.
It means the mockery to the authority of Jesus, the King.
- The soldiers put a crown of thorns on His head.
Jesus is willing to wear the crown of thorns in order to deliver us from thorns, referring to the ambience of the curse of sin, and give us the crown of bride.
It is only a bride who can wear the crown of bride.
The process of being the bride is as follows.
- Being a virgin or reaching the maturity.
Esther 2:1-2
2:1. After these things, when the wrath of King Ahasuerus subsided, he remembered Vashti, what she had done, and what had been decreed against her.
2:2 Then the king’s servants who attended him said: "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king;
We have to eat in order to reach the maturity.
Hebrews 5:11-14
5:11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
5:13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
There are two kinds of food as follows:
- Milk or the gospel of salvation.
It is for people who have just repented. One who wants the milk only is a child, referring to there is no spiritual maturity.
- Solid food or the hard teaching Word.
We can have the spiritual maturity if we want to eat solid food.
The spiritual maturity does not depend on physical age but the ability to hear the hard teaching Word.
Matthew 2:16-18
2:16. Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men.
2:17 Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying:
2:18 "A voice was heard in Ramah, Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted, Because they are no more."
One who still becomes child in spirituality will enter the days of antichrist reigning over the world.
The signs of being mature in spirituality are as follows.
- Understanding the teaching of righteousness. One can hear and understand God’s Word until it becomes faith in heart.
Hebrews 5:13
5:13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
- Being able to discern the right and the wrong.
Hebrews 5:14
5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
The right teaching is written in Bible and revealed by God through a verse that explains other verses.
The people of Niniveh cannot discern the right and the wrong, so the judgment of God would have come.
Jonah 4:11
4:11 "And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left––and much livestock?"
- Being in the women’s quarters or shepherded.
Esther 2:3
2:3 "and let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather all the beautiful young virgins to Shushan the citadel, into the women’s quarters, under the custody of Hegai the king’s eunuch, custodian of the women. And let beauty preparations be given them.
We must be shepherded to the true teaching Word as a branch that attains to the True Vine and a donkey’s colt that is bound to the choice vine.
Genesis 49:11
49:11 Binding his donkey to the vine, And his donkey's colt to the choice vine, He washed his garments in wine, And his clothes in the blood of grapes.
We must persevere in doing three main services in shepherding as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Service.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service.
The result of being shepherded is as follows.
- Being employed by God.
- God Himself preserves, protects, and cares us directly until we do not lack.
Psalm 23:1-2
23:1. <<A Psalm of David.>> The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
"I shall not want" means we reach perfection.
- Being obedient until our flesh does not speak anymore.
Esther 2:15
2:15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her.
We must obey the voice of shepherd or shepherding Word. The obedience is a plus value until it becomes a character in us.
Esther 4:16
4:16 "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!"
Esther has obedience to these three kinds of parents.
- Obedience to Mordecai, referring to physical parents.
- Obedience to Hegai, referring to pastor or shepherding Word.
- Obedience to God.
2 Corinthians 11:1-4
11:1. Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly––and indeed you do bear with me.
11:2 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
11:3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted––you may well put up with it!
Our life in the last days has been betrothed to one husband. There will be another Jesus, spirits, and gospels at that time. Another Jesus means the Word which is not revealed by God or based on verse that explains another verse but uses knowledge, logic, or philosophy, et cetera.
Another gospel means the Word which does not show the sin but only prioritizes physical matters.
We have to keep holding fast to and obeying the true teaching Word. Do not give any chance to doubt.
The result of being obedient until the flesh does not speak anymore is as follows.
- The creation power of Jehovah Jireh who is able to create something that has not existed yet and make impossible matters possible.
Genesis 22:1-3, 11-14
22:1. Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
22:2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
22:3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him.
22:11 But the Angel of the LORD called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!" So he said, "Here I am."
22:12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."
22:13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.
22:14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of The LORD it shall be provided."
- The Lord Jesus is obedient until His flesh does not speak anymore. He dies on the cross but He is risen and glorified to become Heavenly Bridegroom who will come to meet His Bride.
- We are exalted to become the bride of God who is worthy of wearing the crown of bride.
Jesus is obedient to the point of death on the cross but He is risen and glorified as Heavenly Bridegroom.
Esther is obedient, so she is exalted to become queen.
Esther 2:17
2:17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.
God blesses you.
