To Coincide with Priest and Priest Candidate Upgrading II
Matthew 27:11-26 is about
the seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of Covenant.
Meaning the suffering Jesus must experience until He dies on the cross to save, sanctify, and perfect the Church of God.
We learn about the third sprinkling of blood, namely
The Soldiers Mock Jesus [Matthew 27:27-31].
Jesus experiences the mockery as follows:
- They put a scarlet robe on Him and beat Him.
Matthew 27:28
27:28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him.
It means mocking the authority of Jesus, the King.
The authority of Jesus, the King, is to defeat sins. Mocking Jesus means keeping sins or false matters.
- They put a crown of thorns on His head.
Matthew 27:29
27:29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
Actually, the crown of Jesus, the King of all kings, is the rainbow or the crown of glory.
Putting a crown of thorns on Jesus’ head means mocking the glory of Jesus, the King.
A life, whose heart is full of uncleanness and evil as thorns, will do and say something that makes God, parents, and pastor grieved. Consequently, the intercession prayer of the pastor is hindered and such life is pierced by the thorns to be burnt forever.
Jesus is willing to wear the crown of thorns in order to bear our thorns and deliver us from them.
The spiritual meaning of thorns is as follows.
- Flesh desire and anxiety that make human or the sons or servants of God always think about flesh.
Mark 4:18-19
4:18 "Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word,
4:19 "and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
The facts found in using flesh mind are as follows.
- Seeking the things of the world and flesh until there is no opportunity to seek the spiritual ones.
- Seeking the things of the world and flesh by using all ways, including the illegal ones that are not in line with the Word of God.
Jesus is willing to wear the crown of thorns in order to deliver us from the flesh mind and give us spiritual one as His. The facts found in it are as follows.
- Seeking heavenly things more than worldly ones.
- Trying always to live in righteousness, whatever risk may come.
The servant of God who has spiritual mind is righteous and faithful. He serves God as if girds his waist with belt.
Isaiah 11:5
11:5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
Girding the waist with belt means we are always ready to minister to God.
Luke 17:7-8
17:7 "And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’?
17:8 "But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
As a result, our food and drink become God’s concerning. He guarantees our need and future and gives us heavenly joy.
- Curse, suffering, problems, tears, and failure, up to perdition.
Genesis 3:17-19
3:17 Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life.
3:18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field.
3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."
The ambience of thorns happens relying on what we hear [Genesis 3:17]. Therefore, we have to be alert.
Jesus is willing to wear the crown of thorns in order to deliver us from curse, problem, up to perdition.
Thus, we have to face all things in the world with keeping on holding fast to Jesus, the Head, and placing Him as our Head. We must make our relationship with God closer until it becomes relationship between body and the Head.
The facts found in placing Jesus as the Head is as follows.
- Being lowly in heart and gentle.
Matthew 11:28-29
11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
11:29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Lowliness in heart means ability to confess sins to God and other people. Afterwards, we do not do the sins anymore.
Gentleness means we forgive the sins of other people and forget them.
We will get rest, quietness, and peace if the sins have been finished. We are not in distress and all things become easy and light.
Our ministry become easy and light, so we will never leave the ministry of building the perfect body of Christ until the end.
We must keep these two things in our ministry.
- We have to minister to God.
- Do not leave the ministry whatever risk will come.
It must be so because we will be employed in the ministry of building Babel if we do not minister to God or leave it.
- Being in returning and rest as well as in quietness and confidence.
Isaiah 30:14-16
30:14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern."
30:15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not,
30:16 And you said, "No, for we will flee on horses" ––Therefore you shall flee! And, "We will ride on swift horses" ––Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift!
Being in returning and rest or silent means we correct our life through the sharpness of the sword of teaching Word. Finding sins in our life, we have to confess them and repent. Repentance means the sign of blood or salvation.
Being in quietness and confidence means controlling ourselves, not hoping in other people but God as well as obeying Him. We can pray and worship Him. It means we have the sign of incense.
1 Peter 4:7
4:7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
If there is blood and incense, there will be shekinah glory.
Our mistake is we are often not silent or quiet until we use the speed of horse, meaning our own strength and solution that is not in line with God’s Word. It is dangerous because those who pursue us will be swift, meaning our problems will never be solved even there is perdition.
John 7:6
7:6 Then Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
We have to learn to wait for the time of God when we have been silent and quiet but our prayer has not been answered yet. It means we lift up our hand to Him and He will stretch His hand to us. We will experience the shekinah glory.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
The shekinah glory (God’s glory) makes all things beautiful, successful, and finished in its time until the most beautiful one when we welcome Jesus’ second coming on glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
