Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation21:11,23-2421:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
21:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
21:24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. From outisde, the city of the New Jerusalem is like the jasper stone. It means the burning longing, especially for the spiritual things.
From inside, the city of the New Jerusalem is full of God's glory, so there is no darkness.
It is because Satan or the king of the darkness has been fully defeated.
Isaiah60:1-660:1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.
60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you.
60:3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
60:4 "Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side.
60:5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you.
60:6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the LORD. On the last days, the darkness happens all over the world.
[verse 1] God will raise the Israelites in the glory and His light in the midst of the darkness of the world for glorifying Him.
Isaiah60:10-1260:10 "The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you.
60:11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; They shall not be shut day or night, That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, And their kings in procession.
60:12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, And those nations shall be utterly ruined. The Gentiles get the mercy of God thorugh the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. It means getting the opening of the gate of the New Jerusalem until getting the redemption or deliverance from sin by the sacrifice of Christ and being appointed as priests and kings or God's servants who are used in the edification of the wall of the New Jerusalem, the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain, or the edification of Christ's body. The Israelites and Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ for glorifying God and being glorified with Him.
Isaiah60:19-2260:19 "The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.
60:20 Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the LORD will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended.
60:21 Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified.
60:22 A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time."Revelation21:23-2421:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
21:24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. The Israelites and Gentiles can reach the eternal light of glory in the New Jerusalem.
The example of the journey of the Gentiles from the darkness in the world to the light of glory in the New Jerusalem is represented by the widow of Zarephath [1 Kings 17:7-24].
1 Kings17:7,1217:7 And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
17:12 So she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flourin a bin, and a little oilin a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticksthat I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die." The Gentiles face the the darkness or crisis in all aspects until there is no more hope like Jerusalem that was left by God.
God wants to use the Gentiles for glorifying Him or radiating the light of His glory in the midst of the darkness.
The requirements are as follows:
- [verse 12a] There must be a handful of flour and a little oil spiritually.
The flour refers to the Word and the oil refers to Holy Spirit.
The Gentiles must have the Word of God in the anointing of Holy Spirit. The Word must be in the hand (a handful). It means having the burning longing for hearing the Word seriously , understanding, believing it or the Word enters us and becomes faith in our heart, so we only believe and hope in God in facing all kinds of crisis. God does not look at our problems, but what inside our heart, namely the Word or other else such as money, position, or other people.
- The Word must be obeyed although there must be the sacrifice or expensive price.
1 Kings17:13
17:13 And Elijah said to her, "Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.
As a result, the risk is taken by God, who commands us.
Not being obedient or not being willing to sacrifice for God, one must pay the higher price because he takes the risk by himself.
There is small round bread. It is round. It means having no beginning and end or loving God more than anything until there is no fear. We live in peace. All things become easy and light.
- [verse 12b] Gathering a couple of sticks. It refers to the sprinkling of blood for burning the flesh.
What must be burnt?
- All illegitimate things or all things which do not please God. They must be burnt until all things become righteous and well-pleasing before God.
- Egoism or self-interest must be burnt until one can love God and others.
- Anxiety until one cannot be faithful and obedient must be burnt, so he can be obedient and faithful.
Although the bread is small, it can make God full or pleased. One can glorify God.
Revelation3:7-8
3:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
God looks at our obedience and faithfulness and we get the key of David for opening the doors in the world as follows:
- The door of preservation. God preserves us who are small and powerless in the midst of the difficulties in the world.
- The door of help or victory. God finishes all impossible problems.
- The door of future life. There is beautiful successful future life in His time.
- The door of womb or getting a baby.
- The door of lifting up. We are lifted up from the fall in sin to righteous and holy life.
- The door of God's using our life. We are used to be His witness.
It continues until the door of heaven is opened and we are changed to be perfect for welcoming Jesus' second coming.
God blesses you.
