Speaker: Rev. Mikha Sanda TodingPeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 12:22-3712:22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind andmute man both spoke and saw.
12:23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?”
12:24 Now when the Pharisees hearditthey said, “Thisfellowdoes not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.”
12:25 But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them:“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
12:26 If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
12:27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons castthemout? Therefore they shall be your judges.
12:28 But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you.
12:29 Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
12:30 He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.
12:31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemyagainst the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in theageto come.
12:33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known byitsfruit.
12:34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heartbrings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.
12:36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
12:37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”Jesus drives out Satan from the blind and mute man so a lot of people are amazed for what He has done.
We have seen God’s miracle in our life but we still doubt to His power (verse 23).
We doubt to the true teaching Word so we become empty place that is filled by demon.
The signs are as follows:
- Being mute or one cannot say good words.
Luke 1:20
1:20 But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”
- Being blind or one cannot distinguish the good and evil and he lives blindly; he is blind to the true teaching Word.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
The life has blemish, cannot be perfect, will be left when Jesus comes a second time, and get perdition forever.
We must have earnestness without doubt so there is no empty place in ourselves that can be filled by demon. There are three kinds of earnestness that we should have as follows:
- Earnestness in call.
2 Peter 1:10
1:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and electionsure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
- Earnestness in election.
- Earnestness in prayer.
James 5:17
5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestlythat it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
1. Earnestness in call.
Acts 2:36-392:36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
2:37 Now when they heardthis, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Menandbrethren, what shall we do?”
2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2:39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”The practice of earnestness in callis as follows:
- Believing earnestly through hearing the true teaching Word.
- Repenting or stopping sinning to return to God earnestly until there is no lie and dumb mouth.
Revelation 21:8
21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
- Having water Baptism to result in spiritual man who is able to speak truth.
Ephesians 4:25
4:25 Therefore, putting away lying,“Leteach oneof youspeak truth with his neighbor,”for we are members of one another.
2. Earnestness in election.
1 Peter 2:92:9 But youarea chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; The practice is being earnest in ministry as priests and kings.
The process is we must be sanctified through the true teaching Word.
Matthew 15:1915:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. It sanctifies sins in our heart which is dark or blind so we can live in light.
Leviticus 21:1221:12 nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his Godisupon him: IamtheLord.
We are sanctified in sheepfold or the Holy Place which is perseverance in three main services as follows: General Service, Bible Study and Holy Communion, and Worship Prayer.
We live in the light of honesty. It starts from honesty about teaching.
Titus 2:72:7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,It is also honesty in marriage.
Hebrew 13:4-513:4 Marriageishonorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
13:5 Let yourconductbewithout covetousness;becontent with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”Until we become honest in everything. If we live in honesty, God will not leave us but accompany our life.
3. Earnestness in prayer.
James 5:175:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
1 Corinthians 10:1310:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but Godisfaithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bearit.God allows temptations come to us in order to give us the earnestness and we can experience life renewal up to glory.
2 Corinthians 4:16-174:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outwardmanis perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceedingandeternal weight of glory,The result is God is also earnest to open the heaven’s door to pour the blessing for us.
Deuteronomy 11:13-1411:13 ‘And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love theLordyour God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
11:14 then Iwill giveyou the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.The physical blessingis poured so we can be blessing for others.
Isaiah 44:344:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground;I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; The spiritual blessingis poured that is Holy Spirit so there is no place for other spirit.
Holy Spirit is Comforter Spirit so we can testify.
John 15:26-2715:26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
15:27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
Holy Spirit is Helper Spirit.
John 14:16-1714:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness.
Romans 8:26-288:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for uswith groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spiritis, because He makes intercession for the saints according tothe will ofGod.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according toHispurpose.
Holy Spirit opens the way for us and everything becomes beautiful in time.
Zechariah 4:6-74:6 So he answered and said to me: “Thisisthe word of theLordto Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’says theLordof hosts.
4:7 ‘Whoareyou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabelyou shall becomea plain! And he shall bring forth the capstonewith shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’”Until the highest blessing that is love of God is poured to renew our life.
Zephaniah 3:173:17 TheLordyour God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save;He will rejoice over you with gladness,He will quietyouwith His love,He will rejoice over you with singing.”We are changed from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus. When Jesus comes a second time, we greet Him on glorious clouds until entering the Kingdom of Heaven together with Him.
God blesses us.
