Speaker: Rev. Mikha Sanda TodingMathew 7:1-6
7:1. "Judge not, that you be not judged.
7:2. "For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
7:3. "And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?
7:4. "Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye';and look, a plank is in your own eye?
7:5. "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
7:6. "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.Matthew 7:1-6 refers to
judgement.
Judge not to others. Because, if we judge others, we will be judged by others even judged by God with bigger measurement than we use for judging others.
Why do we often judge others?
- Because we often see others' mistake, but we never see our own mistake= being BLIND in front of God.
- Feeling meritorious because we have already prayed, ministered, given tithes, etc; Feeling more than others, so we can judge others.
Luke 18:9-12
18:9. Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:
18:10. "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
18:11. "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank You that I am not like other men--extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.
18:12. 'I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.'
- Feeling we have right teaching Word, but is it only used as knowledge, not being practised.
I Corinthians 8:1
8:1. Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.
Matthew 7:67:6. "Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.Sin of judging others is equal to the sin of dog and sow. The sin of dog and sow makes what is holy become nothing/useless in our life.
'
What is holy' is Word, Holy Spirit and holy Love.
Word, Spirit and holy love become useless because of keeping the sin of dog and sow.
The sin of dog and sow makes us cast the pearls too.
Pearls refer to precious thing, that is Christ's offering.
So, Christ's offering becomes useless because of keeping the sin of dog and sow.
Our attitude that we step out from the sin of dog and sow
is appreciating Jesus, those are:
- Appreciating Word earnestly= 'eat the crumbs'
Matthew 15:21-27
15:21. Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22. And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."
15:23. But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, "Send her away, for she cries out after us."
15:24. But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
15:25. Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"
15:26. But He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the little dogs."
15:27. And she said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters' table."
Living example who appreciates the Word is woman of Canaan. Practice of appreciating the Word are:
- Heeding the Word eanestly like heeding a light in a dark place.
II Peter 1:19
1:19. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
- Understanding the Word.
- Believing to the Word= the Word becomes faith in our life.
- Practising the Word.
Faith with works bears MIRACLE in our live.
Matthew 15:28
15:28. Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
MIRACLE makes impossible things become possible. The problem about marriage and children is the hardest problem, but it can be solved if there is MIRACLE.
So, only the Word is able to solvethe problem about marriage and children.
- Making the Word as a need as newborn babes desiringpure milk.
I Peter 2:2
2:2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
We get the pure Word only in the shepherding/by perseverance in three main services. Shepherding Word can sanctify us from the sin of dog and sow/paganism that we are lifted up as sheep.
The result of being shepherded is we experience MIRACLE, that is become cared sheep in the middle of shaking world. We do not experience physical and spiritual famine but experience great caring from God.
I Peter 2:25
2:25. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
- Feeling not worthy of being appreciated and respected= feeling this life is only mortar.
Living example who feels not worthy are Younger Son and Tax Collector.
Luke 15:11-19
15:11. Then He said: "A certain man had two sons.
15:12. "And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood.
15:13. "And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.15:14. "But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.
15:15. "Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
15:16. "And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.
15:17. "But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
15:18. 'I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,
15:19. "and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants."'
Luke 18:13
18:13. "And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me a sinner!'
We are actually worthy to be punished because we often do the sin of dog and sow. The result of feeling not wothy is we can fall down worshipping God.
Revelation 1:17
1:17. And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.
In worshipping, we meet God as "The First and The Last"= we meet God as Bridegroom. Until it makes us as glorious as Jesus and we can be lifted up to gorgeous clouds with God. It is the biggest MIRACLE in our live.
I John 3:1-3
3:1. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
Isaiah 43:4
43:4. Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.
If we appreciate the Word, God will appreciate us too and take care of us like His apple of eye.
God blesses you.
