Matthew 15:32-39
15:32. Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way."
15:33. Then His disciples said to Him, "Where could we get enough bread in the wilderness to fill such a great multitude?"
15:34. Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few little fish."
15:35. So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.
15:36. And He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitude.
15:37. So they all ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets full of the fragments that were left.
15:38. Now those who ate were four thousand men, besides women and children.
15:39. And He sent away the multitude, got into the boat, and came to the region of Magdala.Jesus feeds four thousand people by breaking
seven loaves and a few little fish.
It is the second breaking of bread which refers to the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
The seven loaves refer to true teaching word that purifies us until we become perfect.
God has
compassion to feed the hungry people. So, the spiritual revival is the same as the revival of God's mercy to feed us. We can eat spiritual food, experience purification and renewing until become perfect and worthy to greet Jesus' second coming.
The termto enter the revival of God's mercy is always feeling hungry for the spiritual food from God. It is like a newborn baby who desires the pure milk.
Three practicesto become a baby spiritually are as follows:
- Laying aside five main sins, namely malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and evil speaking.
1 Peter 2:1-2
2:1. Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking,
2:2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
The evil desire or the will of money always pairs with unclean desire, namely sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
- Desiring the pure milk of the word, so we may grow to Jesus as the head.
For fulfilling this yearning, we must enter the sheepfold, namely perseverance in three kinds of main service.
Psalms 12:6
12:6. The words of the LORD are pure words, Like silver tried in a furnace of earth, Purified seven times.
The word of God purifies us up to perfection.
2 Corinthians 2:17
2:17. For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.
The pure teaching word whose verse explains another verse is the only one that is able to purify us.
The word that is mixed with the other cannot purify our life.
If we enter the sheepfold, we will be purified from mixed teaching, marriage, and ministry.
Leviticus 19:19
19:19. 'You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.
The true teaching may not be mixed with the false one, or else it makes our life unclean.
The true teaching also may not be mixed with logic, humor, et cetera.
Isaiah 5:22-24
5:22. Woe to men mighty at drinking wine, Woe to men valiant for mixing intoxicating drink,
5:23. Who justify the wicked for a bribe, And take away justice from the righteous man!
5:24. Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust; Because they have rejected the law of the LORDof hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Genesis 6:1-3
6:1. Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
6:2. that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
6:3. And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."
If mixed-marriage happens, it will surely continue to remarrying after divorce, so one will never feel happiness but much labor, curse, failure, and perdition.
Matthew 19:3-8
19:3. The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?"
19:4. And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'
19:5. "and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'?
19:6. "So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate."
19:7. They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?"
19:8. He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so.
The mixed-marriage, remarrying after divorce until marrying-giving in marriage are the leaven of Pharisees that destroys the body of Christ.
Colossians 2:18-19, 23
2:18. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
2:19. and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.
2:23. These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.
The mixed ministry means the one that is mixed with worldly ways and just to look for the worldly things.
1 Peter 2:2, 5
2:2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
2:5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
If we have already been purified from mixed teaching, marriage, and ministry, the results will be as follows:
- We will be able to present the spiritual offerings that please God, namely the ministry that is anointed by Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 1:7
1:7. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
The sign is ministering God in order and regularity. There is no more fear, but the firmness to the true teaching word.
Romans 12:11
12:11. not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
We minister faithfully and fervently anytime, anywhere, and in any circumstance though there are a lot of obstructions and obstacles.
Acts 28:30-31
28:30. Then Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who came to him,
28:31. preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence, no one forbidding him.
- We experience the growth to Christ as the head.
- Humbling our life under God's feet, so we can pray and worship God.
We cry and confess that we have no strength against the Nile River, namely the flows of the world.
Exodus 2:1-6
2:1. And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi.
2:2. So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months.
2:3. But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river's bank.
2:4. And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.
2:5. Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And her maidens walked along the riverside; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it.
2:6. And when she had opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."
Hebrews 2:1
2:1. Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
Matthew 10:17-21
10:17. "But beware of men, for they will deliver you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues.
10:18. "You will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
10:19. "But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak;
10:20. "for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.
10:21. "Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
Isaiah 46:4
46:4. Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
If we become a newborn baby spiritually, God will stretch out His hand to carry us up to our old ages.
The term of 'carrying' means as follows:
- God is able to take care of our life physically and spiritually, so we will not enter both physical and spiritual darkness.
- God bears all of our burdens, so everything becomes easy and light.
- God will save us until we become perfect. God washes us from the adhering spots. Until we become perfect and worthy to greet Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
