Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 8:10-118:10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 8:11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter. The matter of the third angel sounded means the third punishment for the life that refuses the sound of trumpet, the shepherding word, or purification and keeps the sin. It is signified by a great star falling from heaven and burning like a torch.
The great star refers to the small life that is employed specially by God and anointed by Holy Spirit.1 Samuel 9:219:21 And Saul answered and said, "Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak like this to me?"For example, Saul was the smallest and despicable, but he was lifted up and anointed to become a king.
Revelation 4:54:5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of firewere burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.The torch or the lamp of fire refers to the anointing of Holy Spirit.
1 Samuel 16:1416:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the LORD troubled him.The great star burning like a torch refers to King Saul who fell and lost the anointing of Holy Spirit because of burning in the will of flesh and lust.
The facts found within it are as follows:
- Saul disobeys God two times.
- Disobedience in distress.
1 Samuel 13:6, 8, 10, 12-13
13:6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in danger (for the people were distressed), then the people hid in caves, in thickets, in rocks, in holes, and in pits.
13:8 Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
13:10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.
13:12 "then I said, 'The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.' Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering."
13:13 And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.
When we are in distress, Satan will attack our mind or logic, so we feel wiser than God. We do not wait for the time of God, but we look for other way outside the word. It is a fool.
- Disobedience in blessing.
1 Samuel 15:15, 17-19
15:15 And Saul said, "They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the LORD your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed."
15:17 So Samuel said, "When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the LORD anoint you king over Israel?
15:18 "Now the LORD sent you on a mission, and said, 'Go, and utterly destroy the sinners, the Amalekites, and fight against them until they are consumed.'
15:19 "Why then did you not obey the voice of the LORD? Why did you swoop down on the spoil, and do evil in the sight of the LORD?"
When we are in blessing, Satan attacks our heart, so we use our self-truth that is not according to the word.
For those reasons, we need the true water baptism. The true water baptism means that one who has believed in Jesus or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and rise from water with Him to receive new life. It refers to the new heart and mind like Jesus or obedience until the flesh does not sound anymore.
- Saul was angry without reason. He envied and hated without reason (the wormwood). He wanted to kill and remove David.
1 Samuel 18:6-13
18:6 Now it had happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments.
18:7 So the women sang as they danced, and said: "Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands."
18:8 Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, "They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?"
18:9 So Saul eyed David from that day forward.
18:10 And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in Saul's hand.
18:11 And Saul cast the spear, for he said, "I will pin David to the wall!" But David escaped his presence twice.
18:12 Now Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, but had departed from Saul.
18:13 Therefore Saul removed him from his presence, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.
The consequences are as follows:
- There is no satisfaction of heaven, but the spiritual dryness and death.
Revelation 8:11
8:11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.
The words are wrong, lie, gossips, and evil speaking. One looks for the satisfaction in the world until falling in sins up to the peak.
- The prayer is not answered by God.
1 Samuel 28:5-6
28:5 When Saul saw the army of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart trembled greatly.
28:6 And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.
- Being removed by God.
Acts 13:22
13:22 "And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.'
David refers to the servant of God who appreciates the anointing of Holy Spirit and shepherding, so he was lifted up to become a great star replacing Saul.
The facts found within in it are as follows:
- Obedience until the flesh does not sound anymore.
Acts 13:22
13:22 "And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.'
- David did not kill Saul even though he had opportunity two times.
- Not returning evil for evil, but returning good for evil.
1 Samuel 24:6
24:6 And he said to his men, "The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD'S anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD."
- Living in faithfulness and righteousness.
1 Samuel 26:23-24
26:23 "May the LORD repay every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch out my hand against the LORD'S anointed.
26:24 "And indeed, as your life was valued much this day in my eyes, so let my life be valued much in the eyes of the LORD, and let Him deliver me out of all tribulation."
Thus, David refers to the servant of God who is faithful, obedient, right, and good. It means appreciating and living in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
The fasting prayer is the process to tear the flesh with all of its burning lusts, so the life will burn in Holy Spirit like the burning torch. We live in the anointing of Holy Spirit from heaven.
The results are as follows:
- Holy Spirit purifies our small and powerless life.
Romans 15:16
15:16 that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit burns the Gentiles that are like dog and sow which are despicable and stinking to become holy and fragrant in front of God.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
If we are holy and fragrant, we can be trusted with the ministry and employed in the building of the body of Christ. We become a great star.
- Holy Spirit makes us faithful, fervent, and obedient.
Romans 12:11
12:11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
We are employed in the building of the body of Christ. We minister to God until the end line.
- Holy Spirit changes us from carnal man to spiritual one like Jesus.
Titus 3:5
3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
It starts from being honest. Being honest is the same as being the house of prayer. The physical miracle happens. The impossible things become possible. Holy Spirit is able to divide the Red Sea, flatten the mountains, finish all impossible problems, and make a beautiful and successful future.
We can greet Jesus' second coming and we enter the kingdom of heaven forever.
God blesses us.
