Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood in front of the Ark of the Covenant. This is the last purification for the church of God to reach the flawless quality or perfection.
Revelation 14 is divided into three parts as follows:
- Verse 1-5 = the Church's following Jesus (It is explained in General Service in Malang, August 15, 2021 until Prayer Service in Malang, October 14, 2021).
- Verse 6-13 = the judgment (It is explained in General Service in Malang, October 17, 2021 until General Service in Malang, December 05, 2021).
- Verse 14-20 = the harvest on earth (It is explained in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion in Malang, December 07, 2021).
We learn the third point, namely the harvest on earth.
There are two kinds of harvest on earth are as follows:
- The wheat harvest (it is explained in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion in Malang, December 07, 2021).
Revelation 14:14-16
14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
14:16 So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
It refers to the fruit from the sprinkling blood or the last purification that is brought into the barn of the kingdom of heaven.
- The vine harvest on earth.
Revelation 14:17-20
14:17 Then another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.
14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe."
14:19 So the angel thrust his sickle into the earth and gathered the vine of the earth, and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God..
14:20 And the winepress was trampled outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles, for one thousand six hundred furlongs.
It refers to the fruit of life who refuses the sprinkling blood, so it had to be thrown into the great winepress of the wrath of God and the blood come out of the winepress, up to the horses' bridles.
We learn the first point, namely the wheat harvest.
Revelation 14:14-1614:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle.
The wheat harvest happens in the fields of God.
There are two kinds of work in the fields of God as follows:
- Sowing = the revival of Holy Spirit at the first rain or the gospel word for bringing the sinner to believe in Jesus, repent, be saved, and be blessed.
- Reaping = the revival of Holy Spirit at the last rain or the teaching word for purifying the saved people to enter the perfection like Jesus is. This is the ripe wheat or the perfect body of Christ, the Bride of Heaven that is ready to enter the barn of the kingdom of heaven forever.
1 Corinthians 3:93:9 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building.
The field is the same as the building of God. It means that the activity of sowing and reaping is the same as the activity of building the perfect body of Christ.
'
God's fellow workers'
means that the cooperation is needed in the fields of God as follows:
- Cooperating with God.
It means that we love God more than anything or obey to Him.
Cooperating with God is useful for us. If we obey Him, the miracle happens for us.
- Cooperating with others.
It means that we love others like ourselves, we love each other.
Loving each other starts from confessing and forgiving the sins.
If we can love each other, we will serve, give, and visit each other, especially others are in need.
Exodus 25:1-225:1 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 25:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering.
In the building of Tabernacle, God starts with giving, namely returning the tithe and special offering to God, and then giving the time, effort,
et cetera, up to our life to God's work and others who are in need.
Exodus 40:3340:33 And he raised up the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the screen of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.
The finishing of the building of Tabernacle is "
hung up the screen of the court gate". It means receiving Jesus as the Head who is responsible for our life.
In conclusion, what we give for the building of the perfect body of Christ is not comparable with what we get. We receive Jesus as the High Priest, the Great Shepherd, the King, and the Bridegroom of Heaven who is responsible for our life.
How is our response to the fields of God?
- We look at the fields of God.
John 4:35
4:35 "Do you not say, 'There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
We must look at the fields of God. It means that we prioritize the heavenly things more than anything. If we are selfish, we will be cursed and perish.
- We must receive the invitation of God through the true teaching word.
Mark 4:35
4:35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side."
The building of the body of Christ is the invitation of God for crossing over to the other side.
If we receive the invitation, we will experience the joy of heaven that is increasing up to the joy in the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
If we refuse the invitation, we will suffer.
- We obey the command of God.
Matthew 8:18
8:18 And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to depart to the other side.
The building of the perfect body of Christ is the command of God to cross over to the other side.
If we obey Him, we will go to the haven of peace in the New Jerusalem.
If we refuse His command, we commit sin until we drown in the sea of the world up to the lake of fire and brimstone.
Matthew 8:248:24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.
Working in the fields of God, we will face a great tempest and the waves with the power of death to make the faith fall and perish.
The great tempest refers to the false teachings.
The waves refer to the sins up to the peak and the impossible problems that make us deny God.
The great tempest and the waves come suddenly and it cannot be predicted.
The thing that determines we drown or not is not the tempest or the waves, but the presence of Jesus in our life boat.
For that reason, we must be faithful and fervent in ministry. Do not leave God.
Why does God allow us entering the tempest and the waves in the building of the perfect body of Christ?
- Verse24: "Jesus was asleep"
God allows the tempest and the waves to come in order to make us know Jesus as the Head who is responsible for our life. It starts from He's being asleep (He died on the cross).
Not knowing the cross of Christ, one will become the same as Satan.
Not being shepherded yet, Peter refused the cross of Christ and God called him like Satan.
When Peter was shepherded, he knew the cross of Christ.
1 Peter 4:1-2
4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
4:2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
Peter had the experience of cross, so it became the weapon for the things as follows:
- Putting to death the sins or repenting.
- Putting to death the will of flesh, so we can obey the will of God. We live in righteousness. We are saved and blessed by God.
- God allows the tempest and the waves to come in order to make us know Jesus as the Head who rises from sleep. It is the same as rising from the dead.
Matthew 8:25-26
8:25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"
8:26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
Jesus has the power of resurrection over the death.
The proof that we know Jesus who arises is neither being fearful nor doubtful, but calm. We become the same as the rock that is not controlled by death.
The results are as follows:
- We can pray and cry out the name of Jesus.
1 Peter 4:7
4:7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
- We give the anxiety up to our whole life to God. It means stretching out our faith hands.
1 Peter 5:7
5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
It refers to being shepherded well and correctly and surrendering fully to God.
The conclusion is that we cry out and surrender to God. It happens in the sheepfold. We will experience the activity of Jesus in the glory as the King of kings, the High Priest, the Great Shepherd, and the Bridegroom of Heaven who stretches out His mercy hands towards us.
The faith and the mercy result in miracle of God.
1 Peter 5:11
5:11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Peter experienced the power and the miracle of God.
The results are as follows:
- 'its waves are still'refers to God's stretching out His mercy hands to finish all the impossible problems.
Psalms 107:28-30a
107:28 Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.
107:29 He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.
107:30a Then they are glad because they are quiet;...
We experience the peace. Everything becomes easy and light.
- The hands of God lifted Peter who started to drown.
It means that one who falls in sin can be restored to living in righteousness and holiness. The failure can be changed into success and beauty in time.
- The hands of God lead us to the New Jerusalem.
Psalms 107:30b
107:30b ... So He guides them to their desired haven.
God purifies and changes us, starting from obedience and honesty.
We experience the joy of heaven until the time when Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is. We enter the One-Thousand-Year Kingdom of Peace (the upcoming Paradise) and the haven of the New Jerusalem forever.
God blesses us.
