From the recording of Prayer Service in JayapuraPeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew17:1,317:1. Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;
17:3. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
Jesus took Peter, John, and James up on a high mountain to pray to God. It is the mountain in Canaan. Actually, Moses was sentenced by God that he could not enter Canaan and he was buried outside Canaan. But through the worship prayer with Jesus, Moses could step his feet in Canaan, the land of promises.
So, the worship prayer is able to wipe away all the impossibilities.
Let this excite us to pray and worship to God. This year is the year of worshipping. God will surely wipe all the impossibilities. Let us hope that through the worship prayer tonight, we experience the power to wipe all the impossibilities everywhere and in every condition in our life.
The requirements of the worship prayer that is well-pleasing to God or the one that is able to wipe all the impossibilities are as follows:
- To pray and worship to God in faith or believing in Him.
Mark9:22-24
9:22. And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us."
9:23. Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
9:24. Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
Mark9:24 [KJV]
9:24. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Tonight in the worship prayer, the things for which we must struggle are doubt, worry, etc. These things make us not believe in God.
James1:6-7
1:6. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
1:7. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
The consequences of the doubt are as follows:
- Not being in peace like the waves of the sea or being stressed. One cannot pray to God and He always faces problems that are never solved.
- Not receiving anything and everything becomes impossible and destroyed.
Tonight, let us pray and worship to God in faith or believe fully to Jesus like Abram.
Romans4:19-21
4:19. And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.
4:20. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
4:21. and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Abraham lived and prayed in faith, so he experienced the power to wipe all the impossibilities.
How could he pray in faith to God even though he was old and his wife was menopausal? It was through hearing the word of God.
Romans4:18
4:18. who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be."
Now for us, we must listen to the word of God, so we can pray and worship Him in faith because faith comes from hearing the word of God.
Abraham listened to the word of God that he would become the father of many nations and he believed even though it was impossible to him.
He kept on believing and remained calm, so he could pray and worship God in faith. As a result, he experienced the power to wipe all the impossibilities.
- To surrender fully to God or being obedient to God until the flesh does not speak anymore.
Luke22:41-42
22:41. And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed,
22:42. saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."
Mark14:36
14:36. And He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. "
We must struggle for the stone or the hardness of heart.
It means keeping or forcing one's own will even though it is against God's will and hurts the hearts of parents or others.
We must surrender our will to God. It means that we fully surrender and accept His will even though it hurts the flesh. It is the same as being obedient to God until the flesh does not speak anymore. We are silent much more.
These are the requirements of the prayer that pleases God and is able to wipe the impossibilities. The prayer must be done in faith and obedience to God until the flesh does not speak anymore.
Being silent and calm is the same as stretching our hands to God. We cry out and surrender to God, our eyes look at Him, and He will stretch His hands to all of us. God will bring it to pass.
Psalms 37:5-737:5. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.
37:6. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday.
37:7. Rest in the Lord , and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. The results are as follows:
- God will bring forth our righteousness as the light.
It means to sanctify and renew us to become honest or pure and straightforward. We become the house of prayer. This is the greatest spiritual miracle.
- God will calm the wind and the waves.
It means to solve all the impossible problems and give us peace. Everything becomes easy and light. He gives us success and beauty in His time. We do not need to be angry or jealous to other who succeeds through deception. Instantly, the success and beauty will be gone, but the ones that we get from God will be with us forever.
- When Jesus comes, we are renewed to become as perfect as Him and shine like the sun. We are worthy to welcome Him who comes a second time in the glorious clouds. We are together with Him forever.
In this prayer service, we beseech to God that there is the power to wipe all the impossibilities especially the miracle to renew our life. As a result, the other miracles will happen in our life until we reach perfection.
God blesses us.
