Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The whole Matthew 28 refers to shekinah glory or the light of glory.
It consists of three parts as follows.
- Matthew 28:1-10 is about the resurrection of Jesus or renewal.
The light of glory shines the dark heart to become meek, so there is renewal from carnal men to spiritual ones.
- Matthew 28:11-15 is about the lie of the council or the spread of the darkness.
- Matthew 28:16-20 is about the commandment to preach the Gospel or the spread of the light.
Ad. 2 The lie of the council.
The darkness is spread while God is shining the shekinah glory. The spread of the darkness means the spread of false testimony or teaching that rejects the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is encouraged by the power of mammon or the spirit of selling-buying of antichrist.
Matthew 21:12-1421:12 Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’"
21:14 Then the blind and the lamecame to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
The spirit of selling-buying enters the church until there is spiritual blindness and lameness. It means there is defect or imperfection, so the church will be left and perish when Jesus comes a second time.
The spiritual blindness means one is unable to see or worship Jesus.
Consequently, one lives in the darkness up to the darkest darkness, namely perdition in hell forever.
For example, Bartimaeus is blind.
Mark 10:46-47,5210:46 Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.
10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
10:52 Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Bartimaeus hears about Jesus at first and then he can see or worship Him. Not hearing first about Jesus, one cannot see Him.
Luke 9:28-299:28 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
9:29 As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.
First of all, we must hear the true teaching Word, and then we can worship God.
The true teaching Word is same as the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword sanctifying our heart, deeds, and saying, or our whole life. We will be able to worship God if we have holiness. The true teaching Word leads us to the true worship.
The steps of having the true worship are as follows.
- Being humble.
Mark 10:47
10:47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
Meaning we are willing to receive he true teaching Word no matter how hard or sharp it is. It shows us our sins of evil and uncleanness up to the peak and self-truth we often do not realize. We confess our sins to God and other people, and then we do not repeat them. If the sins are finished, our relationship with God and other people will be good, so we can worship Him.
Keeping sins or agreeing the sins of other people, one will spiritually become dry for sure and he cannot worship God.
- Being strong and of good courage.
Mark 10:48-50
10:48 Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
10:49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, "Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you."
10:50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.
The true teaching Word we receive will give us extra abundant power of God, so we can keep on being strong and of good courage facing temptations and problems, even the impossible one.
The facts found in being strong and of good courage are as follows.
- Not being disappointed or hopeless nor seeking the solution that is not in line with the Word of God but we keep on persevering and being patient to hope in God and the true teaching Word.
- Putting off the old garment. Meaning we are delivered from sins and old ways of life although we must lose physical gain.
It also means we do not want to sin but keep on living in righteousness whatever risk we have to face.
- Being meek.
Mark 10:51-52
10:51 So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive my sight."
10:52 Then Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your faith has made you well." And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.
Meaning we have faith and longing only to see Jesus.
First, we see Jesus as a Teacher, meaning we have faith and longing to consume the true teaching Word as a baby desiring only the mother’s breast milk.
Afterwards, we see Jesus as the Son of David, meaning the king of all kings.
The faith and longing are as the lifting up of our two hands to God. As a result, He stretches His two hands which are full of mercy to us. The faith which is added with the mercy will result in miracle, so we can worship God rightly.
The result of worshiping Jesus as the King of all kings is as follows.
- We receive the miraculous creating power of the King that is able to create something that does not exist yet.
Isaiah 43:15
43:15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creatorof Israel, your King."
- We receive the creating power of the King that is able to open the way in the sea.
Isaiah 43:16
43:16 Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the seaAnd a path through the mighty waters,
It means as follows.
- He gives us solution from all problems, even the impossible one.
- He neatly arranges our life steps, from negative point to zero one, up to the positive point and we have beautiful successful joyful future life.
- He creates us to become new man until we are perfect and glorious as Jesus is.
1 Corinthians 10:1-2
10:1 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,
10:2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,
The beginning of the renewal is from water baptism with which we get the renewal of heart to become meek and obedient whatever risk we have to face. Being obedient, we are with God and there will be spiritual and physical miracle. On the contrary, being disobedient, one is with Satan and perishing.
Peter is obedient to cast his net and there is physical miracle for him. Every step of our life is full of miracles until the last miracle that we are renewed to become as glorious as Jesus is when He comes a second time.
God blesses you.
