To coincide with fasting prayer session III
Exodus 6 refers to
God's righteousness.
Proof of God's righteousness are:- His Person (Exodus 6:1).
- His name ( Exodus 6:2).
- His activity ( Exodus 6:3-12).
AD. 3. PROOF OF GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT IS HIS ACTIVITYExodus 6:3-46:3. "I have also established My covenantwith them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers.
6:4. "And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israelwhom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.
There are 2 kinds of God's activity:
- Establishing covenant. God's covenant to us is to bring us to Canaan.
- Hearing our groaning.
Exodus 6:5-7
6:5. "Therefore say to the children of Israel: 'I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
6:6. 'I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORDyour God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
6:7. 'And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the LORD.' "
It is mentioned three times "
I am the Lord" to reveal there are 3 persons of God in one Person, those are God the Father, Son of God and Holy Spirit God in the name of Lord Jesus Christ. We also have 3 persons in one person those are body, soul and spirit.
God in His activity involves 3 persons. So, we also have to involve body, spirit and soul in our ministry.
Practice of ministry involving bodyis faithfulness in ministry.
Practice of ministry involvingsoul(mind) and spirit (feeling)is being humble, tender and obedient.
In old translation of Exodus 6: 5-7, it was written 7 times God said "
I will".
Number 7is
PERFECTnumber.
So, 7 times God said "I will" shows that God's act/activity is PERFECT (nothing false/blameless)
There are 7 kinds of God's PERFECT activities
. The first was
"
I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians".
'
Eqypt' is image of world.
It means, God releases us from world's influence.
I John 2:15-172:15. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
2:16. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world.
2:17. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
3 world's influences/contentsof the worldare as follows:
- The lust of eye, which leads to sin of eating-drinking.
- The lust of flesh, which leads to sin of marrying-giving in marriage.
- The pride of life, that is disobedience to true teaching Word.
Consequence of being influenced by world is that life is passing away with the world, until s/he eternally perishes in hell.
If we are free from the world's influence, we receive love of God which encourage us for loving God and doing God's will/being obedient with all risks.
Loving God and being obedient= stretching out our hand to God and God will stretch out His hand to us.
The results of stretching out hand to God are:- Healing power.
God's Hand of love heals us from leprosy.
Mark 1:40-41
1:40. Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, "If You are willing, You can make me clean."
1:41. Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be cleansed."
Leprosymeans as follows:
- Physical disease.
- Spiritual disease that is self-truth.
We have to confess our sins and if being forgiven, do not sin anymore.
- Protecting and caring power.
God's Hand of Love is carrying us like baby, so we are directly protected and cared by God in the middle of hard world, when antichrist reigns, and forever.
Isaiah 49:15-16
49:15. "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.
49:16. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me.
- Lifting power.
Matthew 14:29-31
14:29. So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
14:30. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
14:31. And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
God lifts us from:
- Physical decline/drowning and spiritual one.
- Failure/He makes us successful.
- Lifting us to glorious clouds, meeting God (purification/renewal of life)
God blesses you.
