Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:1-8 can be divided as follows:
- [verse 1] A new heaven and a new earth. It refers to the renewal of attention.
- [verse 2-3] The new man. It refers to the renewal of the heart, namely disobedience becomes obedience.
- [verse 4-8] The new atmosphere.
Revelation 21:4-6 21:4. "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
21:5. Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
21:6. And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. The new atmosphere is as follows:
- [Verse 4] The one without death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain.
- [Verse 6] The one of the heavenly bliss or satisfaction--'I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts'.
Actually, God had created the man who was as glorious as Him, and He put him in garden Eden, so he experienced the heavenly bliss. But the man fell into sin, so God drove out him to go into the world. Consequently, the atmosphere of heaven became the one of curse, namely weariness, heavy burdens, labor, and tears.
[Romans 3:23] All have sinned up to the peak and fell short of the atmosphere of heaven, and lived in the one of curse. If it continues, they will be destroyed forever.
[Revelation 21:5] That is why God wants to create the new man with the new atmosphere, namely the one of the true heavenly satisfaction which comes from the living water of Holy Spirit [Revelation 21:6].
John 4:7-10,15-184:7. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink."
4:8. For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.
4:9. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
4:10. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."
4:15. The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw."
4:16. Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
4:17. The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,'
4:18. "for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly."The Gentiles are always thirsty without the living water of Holy Spirit, so they wither spiritually and are not satisfied.
The consequences are as follows:
- Looking for the pseudo satisfaction in the well of the world, so one falls into sins up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage (fornication, infidelity, and false marriage). It is the same as appearing as a sow, having washed, returns to her wallowing in the mire
- [John 4:9] 'have no dealings' means that the heart is dry. It is full of bitterness, so his mouth is dry, namely he produces idle words such as lie, gossip, and evil speaking. It is the same as appearing as a dog which licks vomit.
How great the Gentiles are, without Holy Spirit, they are like dog and swine who are never satisfied up to perdition forever.
So, the Gentiles must experience the renewal, so they become God's sheep, the priests and kings, even God's bride.
We experience the two kinds of renewal as follows:
- The double renewal by water baptism and the teaching Word.
Ephesians 5:25-27
5:25. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:26. that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
5:27. that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
- The renewal by the water baptism.
The requirement of entering water baptism is believing in God and repenting or being dead to sin.
The implementation of the true water baptism is being buried in the water with Jesus and coming out or rising from water with Him. As a result, the heavens are opened, so we receive a new life, namely life in righteousness. We are saved, and not being punished.
Isaiah 3:10
3:10. "Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
We experience the heavenly bliss and satisfaction. We are blessed by God.
- The renewal by the rain of the true teaching Word.
Deuteronomy 32:1-2
32:1. "Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
32:2. Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass.
The levels of the teaching Word are as follows:
- As the dew. Just few people know it.
- As raindrops. The people start knowing and responding.
- As the showers.
We have dived in the water baptism, and then we must dive in the teaching Word, namely we become obedient.
1 Peter 1:22
1:22. Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
We are purified from all sins up to the peak. We live in holiness as well as love one another. We can love others as we love ourselves. We do not do evil thing. We also love others who make hostility toward us, namely we repay good for evil.
- The renewal by the worship.
Judges 7:5
7:5. So he brought the people down to the water. And the LORD said to Gideon, "Everyone who laps from the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set apart by himself; likewise everyone who gets down on his knees to drink."
The dog which licks vomit is changed to lick the water of God's love through the prayer, the fasting prayer, and all night-long prayer. We experience the renewal of tongue to become honest. We are honest to confess our sin to God and others. It is the same as giving Jesus drinks.
John 4:10
4:10. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."
It means giving Jesus the sour wine mingled with gall to drink on the cross.
Jesus dies, but He is risen and ascended to heaven to pour out the living water of Holy Spirit freely.
The results are as follows:
- Holy Spirit is able to make alive the thing that has already been dead.
Ezekiel 47:8-9
47:8. Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed.
47:9. "And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.
Holy Spirit is able to take care of our physical life in the midst of the difficulties of the world until the Antichrist reigns over the world for three and a half years. Our spiritual life is also taken care of in the midst of the sins and false teachings, so we keep living in righteousness and holiness.
Ezekiel 47:10
47:10. "It shall be that fishermen will stand by it from En Gedi to En Eglaim; they will be places for spreading their nets. Their fish will be of the same kinds as the fish of the Great Sea, exceedingly many.
Holy Spirit gives the gifts that determine the ministry, so we are used in the building of the perfect body of Christ until the finish line.
The dead things may become alive. Holy Spirit is able to finish all of impossible problems.
- Holy Spirit is able to give the heavenly bliss or satisfaction abundantly.
John 7:37-39
7:37. On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
7:38. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
7:39. But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
We can testify to those who wither physically and spiritually. We can give thanks and worship God. It continues until Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is. We do not stumble in words. We just say: 'Alleluia' on the glorious clouds. We become God's bride.
God blesses us.
