Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 3:14-22 is about the church of the Laodiceans. This is the seventh church or the one in the last days, the image of us.
Revelation 3:18-19
3:18. "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
3:19. "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
God rebukes, advises, and chastens the church of the Laodiceans (the church of the last days) to buy the heavenly treasure, so they are not spiritually lukewarm and vomited by Him. We please God and so does He.
There are
three kinds of the heavenly treasureas follows:
- The gold that is refined in the fire.
- The white garments that the shame of the nakedness may not be revealed.
- The eye salve to anoint the eyes.
ad. 3.
The eye salve to anoint the eyes.
It means we must by
the anointing oil of Holy Spirit, so we can see God now (by worshipping God) until we meet Him face to face on the glorious clouds when He comes a second time, even seeing Him on His throne forever.
The processfor the Gentiles to buy the anointing oil of Holy Spirit is as follows:
- The basic process.
Acts 19:1-6
19:1. And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples
19:2. he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."
19:3. And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism."
19:4. Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus."
19:5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
19:6. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
The process is as follows:
- Believing or having faith to Jesus as the only savior. It is the same as entering the gate of Tabernacle.
- Repenting or stopping sinning and returning God, being dead to sin. In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Altar of Burnt Offerings.
- Water baptism. In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Brazen Laver.
The true water baptismis one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life, namely life in righteousness.
- Holy Spirit baptism. It is the same as the Door of Tabernacle. We experience the fullness of Holy Spirit (the anointing oil of Holy Spirit), so we can be the instrument of righteousness. It is the same as we become the priests and kingsor the slaves of righteousness.
We become the servant of God who ministers to Him faithfully and righteously until the last line, namely up to death or until God comes a second time.
- We must always dwell in the Holy Place.
Leviticus 21:12
21:12. 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
The Holy Place is the same as the sheepfold in which there are three tools that refer to three kinds of main service as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick= perseverance in committing general service; fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts.
- The Table of Showbread= perseverance in committing bible study service and Holy Communion; fellowship with Son of God in the word and Christ's sacrifice.
- The Golden Altar of Incense= perseverance in committing prayer service; fellowship with God the Father in His love.
Why do we have to be shepherded?
- In the sheepfold, our body, soul, and spirit attach to God the Trinity, so we cannot be touched by Satan the trinity (three kinds of the beast). We do not fall into sin and get lost, but we experience salvation and peace.
- In the sheepfold, we experience purification and renewal intensively, starting from the heart that is the center of our life.
If our heart is purified and renewed, our whole life will be purified and renewed through shepherding system.
Exodus 2:11-12
2:11. Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.
2:12. So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
In Egypt, Moses was hard-hearted and haughty. He depended on his cleverness and saw the man to minister God.
Consequently, he was totally failed. He could not minister to God, but became a killer.
Now, it means ministering God with envy, revenge, and hatred without a cause.
Exodus 3:1
3:1. Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
In Midian, Moses endured in shepherding, so he experienced purification and renewal of his heart and whole life.
Exodus 4:10
4:10. Then Moses said to the LORD, "O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue."
Moses became humble and confessed that he was unworthy, powerless, and worthless to minister God.
Numbers 12:1-3,13
12:1. Then Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian woman.
12:2. So they said, "Has the LORD indeed spoken only through Moses? Has He not spoken through us also?" And the LORD heard it.
12:3. (Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all men who were on the face of the earth.)
12:13. So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "Please heal her, O God, I pray!"
Moses was very humble and he did not repay evil for evil, but repay good for evil. Moses forgave others' sin and prayed for them.
If we are humble and tender, Holy Spirit will be poured to our heart, so our heart is peaceful. All things become easy and light.
We will not stop ministering God until the last line.
- We must experience the sprinkling of the bloodor suffering in the flesh with Jesus.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13. but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
If we do not want to experience suffering in flesh with Jesus, we will surely crucify Him for second time.
If we want to suffer in flesh with Jesus (doing fasting prayer, all night long prayer, et cetera), we will receive the Spirit of glory.
The example is Jesus who experienced the sprinkling of blood in Gethsemane until His sweat became like great drops of blood.
Jesus experienced the squeeze of the flesh, so He became obedient to the point of death on the cross.
Luke 22:43
22:43. Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
Now, we have to obey God until our flesh does not sound anymore, so Holy Spirit will be poured upon us.
The heavier the fiery trial is, the stronger anointment of Holy Spirit we receive and the more God uses and blesses us.
Romans 8:26
8:26. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
If Holy Spirit anoints us, He will help us, so we can worship God with the broken heart. We only see and speak with God.
Psalms 16:8
16:8. I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
We become strong and of good courage. We keep holding-fast the true teaching word, ministering faithfully and fervently, and worshipping God.
The resultsare as follows:
- God fights for us, so we always win over our enemies.
1 Chronicles 19:13
19:13. "Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the LORD do what is good in His sight."
God finishes all of our problems until the impossible ones.
God makes everything good, successful, and beautiful in due time.
- God purifies and changes us until we become perfect like Him when He comes a second time.
1 Thessalonians 3:13
3:13. so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.
We see God face to face on the glorious clouds up to the throne of heaven forever.
God blesses us.
