Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:4-8 is about greeting the seven churches.
Revelation 1:4-5
1:4 John, to the seven churcheswhich are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washedus from our sins in His own blood,John sends greeting accompanied by God of Father, Son of God, and God of Holy Spirit; God Trinity in persona of Lord Jesus Christ as the Bride of Heaven. Thus,
sending greeting in service means spirituallyas follows:
- Greeting is the opening of teaching.
Greeting determines the teaching. If greeting is changed, the teaching is too.
- The salvation prayer from the shepherd or the servant of God so the congregation feels the grace and peace.
We discuss the peace.
Peace means not being separated from God and fellows. It means no war or hostility.
Peace means the joy and serenity.
Since Adam and Eve fall in sin, man or servant of God loses the peace and becomes separated from God and fellows for there is
the dividing wallas follows:
- The sin up to the peak of sin.
1 Corinthians 5:11
5:11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral(1), or covetous(2), or an idolater(3), or a reviler(4), or a drunkard(5), or an extortioner(6)—not even to eat with such a person.
Keeping six sins that are ingrained, one cannot unite with God and fellows.
- The self-truth.
Sinning, one does not want to confess the sin but blames others even God. It is also pretense in good deed to cover the sin.
The result is being frightened, distressed, and heavy laden, even in the ambience of hell.
Genesis 3:9-12
3:9 Then theLordGod called to Adam and said to him, “Whereareyou?”
3:10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”
3:11 And He said, “Who told you that youwerenaked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
3:12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gaveto bewith me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
Thus, riches and poverty do not determine the peace, joy, fear, or stress; but whether there is sin and self-truth or not. As long as there is sin and self-truth, one will feel distressed.
Luke 21:25-2621:25 “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
21:26 men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Fear and stress will increase at the last days followed with the shaking of world. Those will be the major killer for physical body with the dead, even more for spiritual life with anxiety, spiritual dryness, and craziness up to perdition.
The way out is God calls us to be reconciled by His blood on the cross.
From our side, we must reconcile and confess the sin to God and fellows honestly. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore. We also forgive and forget other’s sin that is confessed honestly.
Thus, peace means to confess and forgive each other or break down the dividing wall with the power of cross of Christ so we feel the peace.
The function of peace is as follows:
- God of peace or Jesus as the High Priest that dwells in our life will destroy Satan.
Romans 16:20
16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christbewith you. Amen.
It means all problems will be solved in time, even for the impossible ones. Everything becomes light, easy, and joyful.
If there is no peace, the problems will come.
- Being employed in the ministry of reconciliation.
2 Corinthians 5:18
5:18 Now all thingsareof God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
Romans 10:15
10:15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
We are trusted to spread the Good News to sinner so they believe in Jesus and can be saved. Also spreading the Bride Tidings to saved people so they can be perfected. Everything becomes beautiful in time.
- Jesus as the High Priest cares our life miraculously.
1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5:24 He who calls youisfaithful, who also will doit.
God is able to care us physically in the midst of impossibilities. God sanctifies and changes us until we are perfect when Jesus comes a second time. Our name is written in the Book of Life and we become God’s forever.
God blesses us.
