Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 18 refers to the arrangment of Tabernacle that points to the golden pot that had the manna. It refers to the perfect man or life.
We are the mortar pot. We must be filled with the true teaching Word, so we become the golden pot that had the manna to reach the eternal life.
If the mortar pot does not want to be filled with the Word, it will be filled with the spirit of evil, uncleanness, and hatred, so it will be same as the Babylon, the false church, or the Bride of Satan who is perfect in evil and uncleanness that is ready to perish forever.
Revelation 18:9-11,17-1818:9 "The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
18:10 "standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.'
18:11 "And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:
18:17 'For in one hour such great riches came to nothing.' Every shipmaster, all who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance
18:18 "and cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What is like this great city?'There are three groups of man that must experience the punishment together with the Babylon as follows:
- Verse 9-10 = the kings or position (it is explained in Bible Study Service in Malang, December 01, 2022 until General Service in Surabaya, December 04, 2022).
- Verse 11-16 = the merchants or wealth.
- Verse 17-20 = the sailor.
We learn the second point, namely the merchant.
The merchant that is dragged together with the Babylon is the one who is physically active for looking for the wealth in the world, but he is not active in spiritual trading. It means that one is unfaithful and leaving the service and ministry to God, as well as selling the talent.
The fellowship is the test for us, whether we are active or not in spiritual trading. If we are active in spiritual trading, we will go to the building of the perfect body of Christ and we cannot be dragged by the Babylon.
Revelation 18:1618:16 "and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city that was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls!
Revelation 19:7-819:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
The Babylon imitates the fine linen of the Bride of Heaven, the perfect church.
The Bride of Heaven has the fine linen, clean and bright, but the Babylon does not have it.
The fine linen, clean and bright means as follows:
- The holiness from the holy heart. It is not fake.
If one is fake and in self-truth, he is the same as the Babylon.
- All ministries come from the heart that is purified. It is the same as working with all of the heart, so it cannot be fooled by Satan through gossip and others. The false teaching cannot influence because its root is strong.
The fine linen, clean and bright is the wealth of heaven. We must chase it through the spiritual trading. The processes for getting the fine linen, clean and bright are as follows:
- Giving with the holy, willing, and joyful heart.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
6:17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
6:18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,
6:19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
'storing up' = the wealth of heaven.
If God allows us to be rich, the thing that we must watch is that we do not become proud to much and depend or hope in the wealth, so we become stingy and greedy.
The stinginess = one cannot give.
The greediness = one steals other's and God's, namely the tithe and the special offering.
God allows us to be rich, so we can give and share, because our life does not depend on the wealth but we depend fully to Him.
The results are as follow:
- We can enjoy the wealth that God gives for us.
- We become blessing for others.
- The physical wealth changes into the spiritual one that is the fine linen, clean and bright.
2 Corinthians 8:1-3
8:1 Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia:
8:2 that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded in the riches of their liberality.
8:3 For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing,
Even though we are poor, God gives us the opportunity to give and share, so we get the opportunity to receive the fine linen, clean and bright.
Thus, the ability to give does not depend on the riches or poverty, but it depends on holy heart.
If we have holy heart, we can give, so we get the fine linen, clean and bright.
- The true worship prayer.
Luke 9:28-29
9:28 Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
9:29 As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.
'after these sayings' = the true worship prayer is encouraged by the true teaching Word.
The result of the true worship prayer especially one hour prayer is the fine linen, clean and bright. It is the same as the life renewal. It starts from becoming gentle like the soft fine linen.
- It starts from the face that is changed. It refers to the gentle heart.
James 1:21-22
1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
The gentle heart means as follows:
- Laying aside all filthiness, evil, and uncleanness.
- Hearing and obeying the true teaching Word that is ingrained in our life. The Holy Spirit and the love of God will be poured upon us.
We become faithful and fervent in ministry to God until the end line whatever condition may come.
- The gentle tongue.
Proverbs 15:4
15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
A wholesome tongue or gentle one is not the deceitful one and it does not harm others.
The gentle tongue gives blessing for others.
A wholesome tongue is a tree of life. It means that it sprouts (living by the Holy Spirit).
Isaiah 11:1-2
11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
11:2 (1)The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, (2)The Spirit of wisdom and (3)understanding, (4)The Spirit of counsel and (5)might, (6)The Spirit of knowledge and of (7)the fear of the LORD.
If there is Holy Spirit, the stubble can do these things as follows:
- Sprouting.
We become the place of Holy Spirit with His seven manifestations. We live in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
It means that we are cared and protected in physical life in the midst of the difficulties in the world until the age when Antichrist reigns on earth.
In spiritual life, Holy Spirit helps us to live in righteousness and holiness in the midst of sins up to the peak.
Holy Spirit also gives the joy in the midst of sufferings, because we are together with God.
- Blooming.
It means that Holy Spirit gives the gifts that determine ministry. If we get the ministry and the gift of Holy Spirit, we will be employed in the building of the perfect body of Christ. Holy Spirit gives the beautiful and successful future.
- Bearing the fruits.
It means that Holy Spirit changes us from the carnal man to the spiritual one like Jesus is. It means being strong and of good courage. We will not step back even once, but we hold fast to the true teaching Word, we keep believe and worship God.
The physical miracles also happen. Holy Spirit is able to erase the impossibilities.
When Jesus comes a second time, we will be changed to become perfect as He is. We are worthy to greet His second coming on the glorious clouds. We wear the fine linen, clean and bright. We cry out "Alleluia". We enter the One-Thousand-Year Kingdom of Peace (the upcoming Paradise) and the New Jerusalem forever.
God blesses us.
