Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 10:5-15

10:5. These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans.
10:6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
10:7 "And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
10:8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
10:9 "Provide neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts,
10:10 "nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.
10:11 "Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out.
10:12 "And when you go into a household, greet it.
10:13 "If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
10:14 "And whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet.
10:15 "Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!

Jesus sends His twelve disciples to minister in the building of the body of Christ. He wants to send us also in the ministry of the building of the body of Christ.
The requirements of being sent are as follows.

  1. Two by two.
    Mark 6:7
6:7. And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.

    Meaning as follows.

    • Being together with God to cooperate with and be reconciled to Him.
      2 Corinthians 5:19-20
5:19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf,
      be reconciled to God.

    • Being together with other people to cooperate with and be reconciled to them.
      Matthew 5:23-24
5:23 "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
5:24 "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First
be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

If we can cooperate with God and other people, there will be the building of the body of Christ which is strong and one.
The process of making reconciliation is through confessing and forgiving one another. We confess our sins to God and other people. Being forgiven, we do not repeat the sins.

    1 John 1:9
1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  2. Not being worried.
    Matthew 10:10
10:10 "nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food.

It is especially anxiety about these two things.

    • Present daily needssuch as food, drink, and clothes.
      Matthew 6:25-29
6:25."Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
6:26 "Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
6:27 "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
      6:28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
6:29 "and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

    • Future needssuch as ministry, job, marriage partner, et cetera.
      1 Corinthians 7:32
7:32 But I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord––how he may please the Lord.

Living in anxiety is in the system of paganism causing one to have blemish and not to be employed in the building of the body of Christ. Such person cannot be perfect.
      1 Peter 5:7
5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

  3. Not going from house to house.
    Luke 10:7
10:7 "And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.
    Meaning as follows.

    • Not going from shepherding to shepherding.
      Psalm 23:6
23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.

    • Dwelling in tents, meaning we dwell in the true teaching Word.
      Genesis 25:27
25:27 So the boys grew. And Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field; but Jacob was a mild man, dwelling in tents.

We must abide in the shepherding done by the true teaching Word as a branch that abides in the true Vine.
    John 15:1-5
15:1. "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
    15:3 "
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
15:5 "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

    Acts 2:42
2:42. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The fact found in abiding in the true Vine is perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.

    • Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Service.
    • Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
    • Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service.

We are sanctified continually by the Word of God sharper than any two-edged sword in the shepherding.

    John 15:6

15:6 "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

We are sanctified from the dry branch, so we can bear fruits and have success. It means we are sanctified from the things that can cause us to be dry in spirituality as follows.

    • Uncomfortable feelings to other people that will increase to hatred and envy.
      Genesis 37:23-24
37:23. So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him.
37:24 Then they took him and cast him into a pit. And the pit was empty; there was no water in it.

    • False teachings.
      2 Peter 2:17
2:17 These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.

If we have been sanctified, we will bear fruit for sure, namely patience or perseverance.
    Luke 8:15
8:15 "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

    James 1:3-4

1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

The fruit of patience means sweet ripe fruit. We are employed in the ministry of the building of the body of Christ, so we will not be employed by Satan in the building of the body of Babylon.

    2 Timothy 2:21
2:21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.

The ripe fruit must be pressed, so we will not be conquered by flesh feelings such as pride, disappointment, et cetera.

    Isaiah 5:2
5:2He dug it up and cleared out its stones, And planted it with the choicest vine. He built a tower in its midst, And also made a winepress in it; So He expected it to bring forth good grapes, But it brought forth wild grapes.

The flesh must be pressed through the sprinkling of blood or the suffering without any sin.
    1 Peter 4:12-14, 19
    4:12. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of
Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
4:19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

We experience the renewal from carnal man to spiritual onewho does not easily become proud or hopeless of anything but endures all things.

    Zephaniah 3:17

3:17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."

The ripe fruit is pressed to produce sweet wine to be kept. Meaning we are kept or preserved and protected by God.

    John 2:10

2:10 And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"

    Revelation 6:6
6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."

    Song of Solomon 2:4

2:4 THE SHULAMITE TO THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love.

The sweet wine is for a wedding feast. Meaning we are given heavenly joy nothing in the world may influence.

    Revelation 19:9

19:9 Then he said to me, "Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

It continues until the peak of joy we get in the marriage supper of the Lamb of God when Jesus comes a second time. We enter the kingdom of peace a thousand years up to New Jerusalem.

God blesses you.
