Speaker: Deacon Youpri ArdiantoroPeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mark 12:1-1212:1 Then He began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it,dug a place forthe wine vat and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country.
12:2 Now at vintage-time he sent a servant to the vinedressers, that he might receive some of the fruit of the vineyard from the vinedressers.
12:3 And they took himand beat him and sent himaway empty-handed.
12:4 Again he sent them another servant, and at him they threw stones, wounded himin the head, and sent himaway shamefully treated.
12:5 And again he sent another, and him they killed; and many others, beating some and killing some.
12:6 Therefore still having one son, his beloved, he also sent him to them last, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
12:7 But those vinedressers said among themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.'
12:8 So they took him and killed himand cast himout of the vineyard.
12:9 "Therefore what will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vinedressers, and give the vineyard to others.
12:10 Have you not even read this Scripture: 'The stone which the builders rejectedhas become the chief cornerstone.
12:11 This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?"
12:12 And they sought to lay hands on Him, but feared the multitude, for they knew He had spoken the parable against them. So they left Him and went away. The vinedressers refer to the Israel. Because the Israel refuses to give the fruit, God entrusts the vineyard to another vinedresser that is the Gentiles.
Matthew 21:4321:43 "Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.God wills us to bear the good and sweet fruits.
Isaiah 5:1-25:1 Now let me sing to my Well-belovedasong of my Beloved regarding His vineyard: My Well-beloved has a vineyardon a very fruitful hill.
5:2 He dug it up and cleared out its stones, and planted it with the choicest vine.He built a tower in its midst, and also made a winepress in it;So He expected itto bring forth goodgrapes, but it brought forth wild grapes. But the result is the wild grapes. The practice of bearing the wild grapes is as follows:
- The oppression.
Isaiah 5:7
5:7 For the vineyard of the Lordof hosts isthe house of Israel, and the men of Judah are His pleasant plant. He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; For righteousness, but behold, a cry for help.
The oppression refers to the murder. It means as follows:
- The hatred without reason.
1 John 3:15
3:15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
- The anger.
Matthew 5:21-23
5:21 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'
5:22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.
5:23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
- A cry for help or the troublemaker who makes other people lament.
Genesis 18:21
18:21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know."
It happens because one keeps the sin up to the peak of sin and blames others. The example is the sons-in-law of Lot.
Why did Israel result in the wild grapes?
1 Peter 2:72:7 Therefore, to you who believe, He isprecious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejectedhas become the chief cornerstone,"Because they throw Jesus the chief cornerstone, away.
The practice of throwing Jesus, the chief cornerstone, away is as follows:
- One does not believe in Jesus.
Believing in right way means believing because of hearing the Word that is spoken by Christ or the true teaching Word.
Colossians 3:16
3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Throwing the chief cornerstone away means rejecting the true teaching Word.
- One refuses to repent from the five sin.
1 Peter 2:1
2:1 Therefore, laying aside (1) all malice, (2) all deceit, (3) hypocrisy, (4) envy, and (5) all evil speaking,
The root of evil is the love of money. The practice is leaving the ministry to look for money in the wrong way and ministering to God for getting money.
Evil speaking refers to slandering or cursing.
- One does not become the spiritual newborn baby.
It means that he does not live in righteousness.
- One is disobedient.
1 Peter 2:8
2:8 and "A stone of stumblingand a rock of offense." They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed.
Obedience does not depend on how difficult God's command is, but the good heart. For example, Abraham obeyed God when he was commanded to sacrifice his only son. But Lot's wife disobeyed the command and looked back.
The vineyard refers to the ministry that is brought up by the Bride Tidings.
The purpose of working in vineyard is bearing the sweet fruits.
1 Peter 2:4-72:4 Coming to Him as toa living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God andprecious,
2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
2:6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, "Behold, I lay in Zionachief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame."
2:7 Therefore, to you who believe, He isprecious; but to those who are disobedient, "The stone which the builders rejectedhas become the chief cornerstone,"The thing that we must do is coming to Jesus as the chief cornerstone. The practices are as follows:
- Believing Jesus as the only savior through hearing the true teaching Word.
- Practicing the Word.
Romans 10:10
10:10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
It starts from confessing the sin to God and others or repenting. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore.
- Becoming the newborn babies that always long for the shepherding Word.
- Obedience.
1 Peter 2:9
2:9 But you area chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
It means we become the living stone. We are employed by God to become the priests and the kings. The condition is living in holiness. [Ephesians 4:11-12]
John 15:3
15:3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
We can be sanctified by the true teaching Word and being shepherded in sheepfold.
1 Peter 2:4-5
2:4 Coming to Him as toa living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God andprecious,
2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the living stone, so we must be the living stone. It means we are renewed to become like He is. Then, we will bear the sweet fruits.
The grape fruits must be pressed to become the sweet wine. Being pressed refers to the flesh suffering without sin. The sweet wine cannot be affected by misery and problems.
Song of Solomon 7:97:9 And the roof of your mouth like the best wine. The Shulamite. The winegoes downsmoothly for my beloved, moving gently the lips of sleepers. The sweet wine refers to the sweet words, the ones that become blessing, or the ones which are according the Word.
1 Corinthians 4:12-134:12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;
4:13 being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things until now.We can give thank and worship God.
The sweet wine moves gently the lips of sleepers. The sleepers refer to Jesus as the Bridegroom of Heaven.
Matthew 8:24-268:24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.
8:25 Then His disciples came to Himand awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"
8:26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?"Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.Saying the sweet words in facing a great tempest that suddenly comes, means we give the opportunity for Jesus to finish all problems. It continues until the sweet wine brings us to enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
God blesses us.
