(To Coincide with Fasting Prayer Service Session III)Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 4:54:5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire wereburning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
At Patmos Island, John sees seven burning lamps before the throne. It is the Golden Candlestick with seven lamps that Moses saw on the Mount of Sinai. Now, it refers to the power of Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:3-42:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and onesat upon each of them.
2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.Holy Spirit works from heart to tongue until we speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gives us utterance. We will experience the work of Holy Spirit.
There are three kinds of Holy Spirit's work, as follows:
- The fire gives heat.
It means Holy Spirit warms our spirituality so we always minister God in faithfulness and fervency. It is spiritual lust to God that cannot be put out or hindered by anything. It is the burning lamp.
Let us be watchful, if the spiritual fire or lust is extinguished, there are two things that will happen as follows:
- Experiencing the spiritual cold like Peter.
Luke 22:54-57
22:54 Having arrested Him, they led Himand brought Him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed at a distance.
22:55 Now when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them.
22:56 And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said, "This man was also with Him."
22:57 But he denied Him, saying, "Woman, I do not know Him."
The result is one will get far away from God, become unfaithful and leave the ministry. He is close to Satan. He also sits by the strange fire (the fire of world, sin, and lust), so he denies God and leaves the ministry. It means he leaves God.
- Burning in lust or falling into the sin of Babylon.
Romans 1:27
1:27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
It refers to the sin of eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
Let us be faithful and fervent in ministry, starting from marriage, shepherding, inter shepherding, until the Israel and Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ.
- The fire gives light.
It means there is nothing to hide.
The example is King David.
2 Samuel 12:11-13
12:11 Thus says the Lord: 'Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give themto your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12:12 For you did itsecretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.'"
12:13 So David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." And Nathan said to David, "The Lordalso has put away your sin; you shall not die.
King David is a great man, but without the light of Holy Spirit, he does the sin of evil and uncleanness secretly. God will show the sin openly.
But David becomes gentle and accepts the sharp teaching Word that is conveyed by Nathan. He confesses the sin openly to God and others. We must confess the sin. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore. It means we are saved from the punishment.
Judas Iscariot is a great man. He is a disciple and treasurer, but without Holy Spirit, he hides the will of money that makes him become stingy (he cannot give time, effort, money, et ceterafor the work of God) and greedy (he steals God's that is the tithe and special offering). Judas refuses the true teaching Word. The result is he dies and all his entrails gushes out. It means that the sin is shown openly, but without forgiveness. He is ashamed perishes.
- The fire gives strength.
The Holy Spirit gives extra strength from God to do anything in ministry.
It makes us strong and of good courage. The meanings are as follows:
- We are not disappointed or desperate and do not lose heart or leave the ministrywhatever the things may happen. We are not proud but always give thank to God, trust, entrust our life to, and worship Him.
- We are not weak.
1 Corinthians 8:7-9
8:7 However, there isnot in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat itas a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
8:8 But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.
8:9 But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.
We do not stumble or become stumbling block, but we testify to others.
- We are not doubtful to the persona of Jesus. We hold fast and obey the true teaching Word. We are not doubtful to the power of God and do not hope to others, but we believe and hope to God only.
Matthew 14:28-32
14:28 And Peter answered Him and said, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water."
14:29 So He said, "Come."And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
14:30 But when he saw that the wind wasboisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched out Hishand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
14:32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
The example is Peter. He is a great man even he can walk on the sea but he feels doubtful when he faces the wind (the false teaching, gossip, et cetera) and almost sinks spiritually and physically.
But Peter is still able to cry out to God. It means confessing the sin and surrendering fully to God. Then, God's hands are stretched out to fix the things that sink and lift us up from the fall in sin. The hands of God are able to lift us up from failure and everything becomes successful and beautiful. God is able to employ us in the revival of Holy Spirit at the last rain.
1 Chronicles 28:20
28:20 And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it;do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LordGod--my God--will bewith you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.
The hands of God are able to finish all impossible problems in time. We are sanctified and changed to become perfect and worthy to sit together with Jesus on the throne of heaven.
God blesses us.
