Matthew 26:20-25 was about eating Passover. In the past, eating Passover was eating unleavened bread and roast. Now, eating Passover is eating true teaching Word and Holy Communion.
True teaching Word and Holy Communion are able to purify us from sins until the peak of sin, that we are worthy to be consecrated as priests and kings.
Matthew 26:24-25
26:24. "The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."
26:25. Then Judas, who was betraying Him, answered and said, "Rabbi, is it I?" He said to him, "You have said it."After becoming priest and king, we must be careful that we do not become like Judas Iscariot. Jesus said that it would have been good for Judas if he had not been born, even he was an apostle, treasurer, person whom God trusted.
Why? Because Judas Iscariot did not experience being reborn, that he kept on becoming blood and flesh man. The signs are thief, liar, and betrayer. Blood and flesh men do not inherit the kingdom of Heaven and will perish forever.
Although a person is great spiritually and physically, but if he/she is not being reborn, it would have been good for him/her if he/she had not been born because he/she just goes into perdition.
In order not to perishandnot to be useless that we have been born in this world, we have to experience new birth.
One of the process of new birth is
worship.
Luke 9:28-29
9:28. Now it came to pass, about eight days after these sayings, that He took Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
9:29. As He prayed, the appearance of His face was altered, and His robe became white and glistening.True worship is pushed by true teaching Word in annointing of Holy Spirit.
In true worship, we can
see Jesus' face which is shining like sun= we
experiencethelight of glory of God/Holy Spirit works upon our lives.
If we can worship in true worship, the results are:
- Confirming God's calling and choice on our lives= confirming the gifts of Holy Spirit and ministry until the finish line (until we die or until Jesus comes on second time).
Luke 9:35
9:35. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!"
Lots of people leave ministry because they less worship God.
II Timothy 1:6
1:6. Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
Holy Spirit gives the gifts of Holy Spirit through the laying on of a shepherd's hand. The gifts of Holy Spirit determine ministries. Holy Spirit pushes us to be faithful and be fervent in gift and ministry until the finish line.
The gift and ministry are tunic of many colors.
If we are being faithful and being fervent in gift and ministry, our life will be more beautiful day by day until we have clothed with pure bright linen. On that time, we have the most beautiful life. If we do not become faithful in the gift and ministry, we will be naked until all our entrails gush out like Judas.
- Giving happiness of Heaven.
Luke 9:33-34
9:33. Then it happened, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah" --not knowing what he said.
9:34. While he was saying this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they were fearful as they entered the cloud.
I Peter 4:14
4:14. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
Happiness of Heaven is not influenced by worldly things. Even, in suffering, we are still happy.
In Luke 9, the happiness of Heaven was associated with Tabernacle teaching. Holy Spirit helps us to be obedient to the Tabernacle teaching and we feel the happiness of Heaven.
Do not worship like Peter. Peter taught the Tabernacle teaching, but he did not obey, so he experienced ambience of fear.
Consequently, the more the teaching is revealed, the more one fears and does not rejoice.
The obedient people will rejoice.
- Holy Spirit makes miracles, those are:
- Physical miracle. For example:
- Elijah.
James 5:17-18
5:17. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
5:18. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
Holy Spirit can open windows of heaven and pour out heavenly blessings to take care us in the middle of world crisis until antichrist.
- Moses.
Luke 9:30
9:30. And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah,
Moses was sentenced that he could not enter into Canaan. But, through worship, Moses could stand on the top of mountain at Canaan. Holy Spirit is able to remove any impossibility.
- Spiritual miracle.
The example is Lord Jesus whose face is shining like sun and His robe is white and glistening. It means renewal of life from flesh men to spiritual men. Mortar pot changes to golden pot. Renewal of life is started from heart which is full of the love of God so we have honest speech.
God blesses us.
