Matthew 26:17-1926:17. Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, "Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?"
26:18. And He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples."'"
26:19. So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover.Unleavened bread feast= Passover.
Now, it means freedom from sins by repentance and new birth.
Passover will increase, and peak to marriage supper of the Lamb.
Revelation 19:919:9. Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."Marriage supper of the lamb is our freedom from all sins and world to meet God on the gorgeous clouds.
Marriage supper of the Lamb is also the meeting between Jesus in the glory as the Bridegroom and congregation as Heaven's bride on the gorgeous clouds.
Marriage supper of the Lamb happens when Jesus comes on second time, and we enter into the kingdom of peace a thousand years, then enter into eternal kingdom of Heaven.
Christian's marriage is not only in the world, but also until marriage supper of the Lamb or spiritual marriage, perfect marriage.
Lots of life are called to physical marriage, but only few are chosen to enter the spiritual marriageor perfect marriage. That's why, we have to strive to reach the spiritual marriage, the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
Matthew 26:1826:18. And He said, "Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him, 'The Teacher says, "My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at your house with My disciples."'"Passover was associated with "My time is at Hand".
Matthew 26 refers to the time of Jesus' death as Passover Lamb is at hand. Jesus will die on the cross soon, but He will raise and ascend to Heaven.
In the last day, "My time is at Hand" means that the time of Jesus' second coming in the glory as King of kings and the Heavenly Bridegroom will come soon.
What do we have to prepare to greet Jesus' second coming that we can enter into marriage supper of the Lamb?Matthew 24:32-3324:32. "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
24:33. "So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors! What we have to prepare is
TOLEARN FROM 3 THINGS, namely:
- To learn from the fig tree.
The fig tree must become tender that it can bud and yield fruit. If fig tree keeps hard, it will not yield fruit but leaves and it will fail.
The fig tree whose branch is hard refers to life who hardens his heart, that he/she surely does not yield fruit and fails.
The practices of hardening heart areas follows:
- The fig tree at garden of Eden.
Genesis 3:7
3:7. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
Fig leaves were used to cover the nudity of Adam and Eve, marriage that falls into sin, failed marriage.
Fig leaves refer to self-truth, which means covering sin by blaming others, God, and true teaching Word.
Genesis 3:9-13
3:9. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
3:10. So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself."
3:11. And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?"
3:12. Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
3:13. And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
If we blame each other, the consequence is being unable to repent and being expelled into ambience of curse. Where there is self-truth, ambience of garden of Eden will change to ambience of curse.
The right attitude is being tender, which means confessing and forgiving one another. And sin will be finished by Jesus' blood, and marriage can become one. It will bear blessing fruits from God up to our descendants, either spiritual blessing (there is the revelation of the Word), or physical blessing to daily life preservation.
- Fig tree by the road.
Matthew 21:18-20
21:18. Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry.
21:19. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away.
21:20. And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?"
It refers to unshepherded life= life who does not have core, does not stick to True Vine.
Leafy means there are lots of ministry, lots of activities, but without true teaching Word, not according to God's will.
The consequence is also being cursed by God, being dry spiritually, no satisfaction. So one looks for satisfaction in the world and falls into sin.
Matthew 7:21-23
7:21. "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
7:22. "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
7:23. "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
Serving without the true teaching Word= practicing lawlessness, the more one serves God, the more s/he does evil, until consequently "depart from Me".
Being tender means being shepherded to the true teaching Word, like branch abides to the True Vine.
John 15:3
15:3. "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
If being shepherded to the true teaching Word, we will experience continuous purification, especially about Judas' sin, that is the lust of money (the root of wickedness) which will be always followed by the root of uncleaness and leads to sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
If being sanctified, we can bear fruits of light, that is fruit of holiness.
Hebrews 13:4-5
13:4. Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
13:5. Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Starting from holy marriage, there is no fornication, adultery, or infidelity.
Holiness is also about finance, that is honesty about finance. In blessing we receive, there is God's that must be returned, and blessing for others.
All must be honest in marriage, no hidden things between husband/wife.
Ministry with fruits of light equals to feeding Jesus who is hungry, satisfying God.
Hebrews 13:6
13:6. So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
And God is with us, to defend and help us, to finish all our problems right on His time.
- To learn to faithful and wise servant.
Matthew 24:45
24:45. "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
Being faithful and wise= feeding God, satisfying and pleasing God. And God surely satisfies us, gives heavenly happiness, and makes our future tidy and beautiful.
- To Learn to Noah.
Matthew 24:37-38
24:37. "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
24:38. "For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
Genesis 6:8
6:8. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
We have to live in grace of God. The practices are as follows:
- Entering into ark with 3 decks.
It reminds us to tabernacle. The people who entered were spouses.
Thus, entering into ark with 3 decks means receiving and holding-fast to tabernacle teaching and Bride Tidings that has been revealed to the late Rev. van Gessel.
Do not try to go out of the ark, or else we can die!
- Living in truth, sincerity, and honesty (if 'yes' say 'yes', 'no' say 'no'), until worshiping God.
Genesis 6:9
6:9. This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
Success key of the servant of God is walking with God, that is worshiping God a lot.
- Suffering wrongfully, suffering without any sin with God.
1 Peter 2:19
2:19. For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.
1 Peter 4:14
4:14. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
And there is Shekinah Glory, God's glory, that is life changing little by little from flesh men into spiritual men.
Starting from honesty, no lie.
With incense and blood, our steps are miracle steps, until the last changing that we become as glorious as God, until we return to New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
