Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 9:7-12 tells us about the locusts and scorpions.
Revelation 9:109:10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. The locusts are the evil and unclean spirits which come up from the bottomless pit.
The locusts' tails are the stings of the scorpions.
1 Corinthians 15:55-5615:55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.The sting of scorpion is the same as the sting of death which is sins.
The strength of sin is the Law. It means as follows:
- In The Old Testament.
Every violation of the Law or of God's law is sin. No man is able to do or fulfill the Law. Every man has sin and is in the power of death.
Therefore, Jesus or the only person who has no sin must die on the cross to fulfill the Law, so the people who believe in Him receive the mercy or love of God, namely the forgiveness of sin. We are free from sin, and not controlled by it. It is the same as being free from death or we are safe.
- In The New Testament.
The service and ministry to God in the system of the Law are controlled by sin or death. The signs are as follows:
- Only prioritizing the rule or the tradition of the elders which is the physical thing, but not focusing on the true teaching Word.
Mark 7:5-7
7:5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?"
7:6 He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
7:7 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
Consequently, ones do not experience the sanctification and the renewal of life.
It is the same as being a hypocrite. It means that the things outside and inside are not the same, or the things outside are different from the ones inside the heart. It also happens in the service and ministry to God. This kind of life will commit sins up to the peak until being controlled by death.
- Not being led by the Holy Spirit or having no anointing of the Holy Spirit. It means only relying on the power of the flesh such as intelligence, wealth, position, power, experience, et cetera.
Galatians 5:18
5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Consequently, ones become spiritually dry or not satisfied, so the satisfaction of the world is brought into the service and ministry to God. The mouth also becomes dry. It means that there are lies, gossips, and slander.
These two things cannot be separated. If there is no true teaching Word, there must be no anointing of the Holy Spirit.
The true service and ministry to God are through the system of mercy. It means focusing on the true teaching Word in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is the same as the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The true teaching Word that is sharper than the two-edged sword is able to renew us starting from the heart and mind up to the whole life.
- The sanctification of the heart and mind from the desire of evil that is the one of money or being stingy and greedy, from the unclean desires that are the sins of eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage, and also from bitterness or envy and hatred. The heart and mind become pure and holy up to the inner heart.
- The sanctification from sinful deeds up to the peak to the righteous, holy, and good deeds until being able to repay evil with kindness.
- The sanctification from the sinful or idle words to the righteous, holy, and good ones that are the words of testimony and blessings to others. We testify to bring the newcomers into salvation, and also to the ones who have believed in Jesus for long time to be shepherded, perfected, and made worthy to welcome Jesus who comes a second time.
Psalms 24:3-4
24:3. Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?
24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
In the sanctification, the service and ministry to God will increase up to worshiping Him, namely looking at His face, saying to Him, hailing and surrendering to Him, and stretching our hands to Him.
The service according to the Law which relies on the power of flesh and becomes a ritual will make one bored, so he will not reach the finish line.
Psalms 24:5
24:5 He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
The prayer service will produce the rain of the Holy Spirit.
The functions of the Holy Spirit are as follows:
- To give the rain of salvation and blessing from God.
Romans 8:13
8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
The Holy Spirit is able to put to death the deeds of flesh that lead us to sin, so we can live in righteousness and holiness. The result is to be saved and blessed up to the descendants and to be blessings to others. We do not become the stumbling-block and burden to others.
- To pour out the rain of miracles, namely the spiritual and physical ones.
Psalms 24:6
24:6 This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face.
The greatest miracle is the spiritual one that is the renewal of life from the fleshly man to the spiritual one like Jesus. For example, the name of Jacob that means a cheater or liar was renewed to be Israel that means the victorious, faithful, obedient, and honest. Being honest is the same as becoming the house of prayer, so the prayers are always answered by God.
The Holy Spirit is able to create physical miracles such as from nothing to something, from the broken thing to the successful one, and from the impossible thing to the possible one. The hands of Holy Spirit are unlimited.
The last miracle happens when Jesus comes a second time that we are renewed to be as perfect as Him.
God blesses us.
