Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The theme is that
"You also go into the vineyard" (Matthew 20:1-16)
Matthew 20:1-7
20:1 "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morningto hire laborers for his vineyard.
20:2 Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
20:3 And he went out about the third hourand saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
20:4 and said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.' So they went.
20:5 Again he went out about the sixthand the ninth hour, and did likewise.
20:6 And about the eleventh hourhe went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, 'Why have you been standing here idle all day?'
20:7 They said to him, 'Because no one hired us.' He said to them, 'You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.'
The work hours are early in the morning or six o'clock, the third or nine o'clock, the sixth or twelve o'clock, the ninth or three o'clock, and the eleventh hour or five o'clock.
6+9+12+3+5 = 35.
It is the number of the 35
thanniversary of Gereja Pantekosta Tabernakel Kristus Penebus in Tentena.
We must already go into the vineyard of God.
"You also go into the vineyard"means as follows:
- The command of God which cannot be interrupted and it must be done. If we refuse to do it, we will sin and be punished.
- The command of God which has two important meaningsas follows:
- God does not want to see us stand idle but we must actively minister to God.
Malachi 3:18 - 4:1
3:18 Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
4:1 "For behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, and all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," says the Lord of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch.
How great a man is, including the servant of God, he is like useless stubble that will be burned forever if he does not minister to God.
- God gives the right direction to the work or the service and ministry to Him, namely in the vineyard.
Psalm 128:3a
128:3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine in the very heart of your house ...
Why must it be in the vineyard? Because the vineyard is the place where the vine can grow. In spiritual meaning, the vine refers to the wife or the bride of heaven. Thus, the right direction of ministry is creating the congregation to become the perfect bride of God who is ready to greet the second coming of Jesus as the Head, King of kings, and the Bridegroom of Heaven on the glorious clouds. We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
Revelation 19:9
19:9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."
The marriage supper of the Lamb of God is the perfect marriage between Christ and the congregation on the glorious clouds. Thus, we must watch the physical marriage from the beginning, during it, until the end and we enter the spiritual one on the glorious clouds. The things that we must watch are as follows:
- The righteousness of marriage according to the Bible.
- The holiness of marriage. There is no other man or woman in marriage.
- The unity of marriage.
After that, we will enter the upcoming Paradise and the New Jerusalem or the Kingdom of Heaven forever.
There are
three preparations to become the Bride of Heaven or the perfect body of Christ,so we can greet the second coming of Jesus on the glorious clouds as follows:
- We must purify our selves just as He is pure.
1 John 3:2-3
3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
How can we be purified?
John 15:3
15:3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spokento you.
We can be purified by the Word which Jesus said or the Word that is revealed through a verse that explains another verse in the Bible.
Matthew 11:1
11:1 Now it came to pass, when Jesus finished commanding His twelve disciples, that He departed from there to teach and to preach in their cities.
Luke 13:22
13:22 And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
There are two kinds of the Word of God that Jesus has given as the example as follows:
- The gospel of salvation or milk or the Good News.
Ephesians 1:13
1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Proverbs 25:25
25:25 As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country.
It is the gospel that conveys the first coming of Jesus in the world to die on the cross and call the sinners so they can believe in Jesus and be saved.
- The light of the gospel of the glory of the Christ or the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword or the solid food or the Bride Tidings.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Matthew 25:6
25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
It is the gospel that conveys the second coming of Jesus in glory as the Bridegroom of Heaven to call and choose the saved life to be purified to become perfect like Him. So they can be the Bride of Heaven that is ready to greet Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
Thus, the teaching Word prepares us to wait and greet the second coming of Jesus on the glorious clouds.
The first preparation to greet His second coming is that we must hold fast the sword of the teaching Word to purify our life until we are holy just like Jesus is holy.
What are the things that must be purified?
- The sword of Word purifies our heart and mind or the source of our life.
Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Mark 7:21-23
7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
7:23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
The evil and unclean heart and mind are controlled by twelve evil and unclean wills and bitterness. In such condition, one cannot enter the right fellowship. The number twelve means the fellowship. He cannot enter the body of Christ, but perishes forever.
If the heart and mind are purified, they will be filled by twelve loaves that refer to the true teaching Word. We will enter the right fellowship just like the branch that abides in true vine. Our life will bear the sweet fruits.
- The sword of Word purifies us from the sin of the woman of Babylon.
Isaiah 27:1
27:1 In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.
Revelation 17:1,15
17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
17:15 Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
The sword of Word purifies us from the sin up to the Babylon's as follows:
- The evil sin or the love of money that results in stinginess (one cannot give to God and others who are in need) and greediness (one takes others' and God's).
- The uncleanness sin or the sin of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-being given in marriage (fornication and all of its kinds, the wrong marriage, mixed marriage, and marrying after divorce).
- The purification of mouth so we can say right and good words as well as testify. We do not say something that harms, but gives strength to others until we can worship God.
Psalm 149:6
149:6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
James 3:2
3:2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.
Revelation 19:6-7
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
It is until we do not stumble in word. We can greet the second coming of Jesus with saying 'Alleluia'.
- We watch and keep the garment of ministry.
Revelation 16:15
16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
If we are purified by the sword of Word, we will be equipped with the garment of ministry and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The more we are holy, the more our garment becomes beautiful. We are lifted up to become the priest and kings to be employed in the building of the perfect body of Christ.
After we become the priest and king, we must watch, so our garment will be not taken by others. Thus, the second preparation is that we must keep the beautiful garment until God comes a second time.
The facts found in keeping the garmentare as follows:
- We must minister God according to the ministry that He trusts to us.
2 Chronicles 26:16-20
26:16 But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.
26:17 So Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him were eighty priests of the Lord--valiant men.
26:18 And they withstood King Uzziah, and said to him, "It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed! You shall have no honor from the Lord God."
26:19 Then Uzziah became furious; and he had a censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before the priests in the house of the Lord, beside the incense altar.
26:20 And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and there, on his forehead, he was leprous; so they thrust him out of that place. Indeed he also hurried to get out, because the Lord had struck him.
If we minister to God, but not in line with the ministry, it means that we are proud and feel great. Then, the leprosy will come. It refers to the uncleanness or the self-truth. The result is being cast and losing the garment or being naked and ashamed.
- We must minister God according to the ministry in faithfulness and fervency until the end line. It means that we serve until we die or Jesus comes a second time.
We also ministry faithfully and well, namely giving for the work of God and others who are in need, until repaying the evil with goodness.
Revelation 19:8
19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
The good deed is like the clean and bright fine linen or the garment of Bride. Thus, we are worthy to greet the second coming of Jesus.
- We live in the great grace of God.
Revelation 22:20-21
22:20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
22:21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
1 Peter 2:19
2:19 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.
It means the flesh suffering because of Jesus. For example, we commit the fasting prayer, all night prayer, et cetera.
Thus, the third preparation is holding fast the cross whatever the risk may come.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
Behind the cross, there is the spirit of glory. The results are as follows:
- We are employed to spread the light of the gospel of the glory of the Christ or the Bride Tidings.
- The spirit of glory changes us from carnal man to spiritual one like Jesus. We can feel joy in the midst of sufferings and we always give thanks to God.
Revelation 21:11
21:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
The changing of New Jerusalem refers to being clear as crystal. It means being honest, confessing whatever condition we have and fully trusting to God.
If the spiritual miracle happens, the physical one will also happen.
Mark 9:23-25
9:23 Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
9:24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it: "Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!"
The epilepsy is the problem that is never solved, namely the problem in ministry and the ruin of marriage and children. Let us honestly confess and believe God. The power of restoration from God will be able to finish all our problems and restore the marriage and children.
A woman who had the flow of blood for twelve years refers to the condition that is getting worse, the physical illness, and the economy problem. As long as we are honest and believe, there will be the power of healing from God.
Martha and Mary faced Lazarus that had died for four days. It refers to the decay of life and the ruin of future. As long as we are honest and believe, there will be the power of resurrection from God. When Jesus comes a second time, the spirit of glory will make the last miracle to change us to become the Bride that is worthy to greet His second coming.
God blesses us.
