Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 2:26-292:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations—
2:27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron;They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’—as I also have received from My Father;
2:28 and I will give him the morning star.
2:29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”’There are two promises that God gives for the church in Thyatirawho overcomes as follows:
- One shall rule the nations with a rod of iron.
- God gives the morning star.
We are learning the first point, one shall rule the nations with a rod of iron means sitting on the throne of judgment together with God.
1 Peter 4:174:17 For the time has comefor judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it beginswith us first, what will bethe end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?In order to sit on the throne of judgment together with God, we must judge ourselves through the sharpness of the sword of Word. What are the things that must be judged?
- All the deed of sins.
2 Corinthians 5:10
5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things donein the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
- All the saying of sins.
Matthew 12:36
12:36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
- All sins in heart and mind.
Romans 2:16
2:16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
- All the things that we do not do to others who are in need in physical and spiritual life.
Matthew 25:41-46
25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
25:42 for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
25:43 I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
25:44 “Then they also will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?’
25:45 Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do itto one of the least of these, you did not do itto Me.’
25:46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
It is selfishness or no love for others.
1 John 4:20-21
4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
4:21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God mustlove his brother also.
It also means one does not love God or has no love.
The result is living in ambience of curse that will be judged and punished in hell.
Let us try to have the love of God so we are able to love God more than anything and love others like ourselves. Where do we get the love of God?
- It is from the cross.
1 John 4:9-10
4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to bethe propitiation for our sins.
The love of God is poured through Jesus who died on the cross as the propitiation offering for the sin of men. To receive the love of God, we must reconcile to God and others. Reconciliation means as follows:
- Confessing the sin honestly to God and others. If we are forgiven, do not sin anymore. We confess our own sin or bear others’ sin.
1 Samuel 25:23-24
25:23 Now when Abigail saw David, she dismounted quickly from the donkey, fell on her face before David, and bowed down to the ground.
25:24 So she fell at his feet and said: “On me, my lord, onme letthis iniquity be!And please let your maidservant speak in your ears, and hear the words of your maidservant.
- Forgiving and forgetting others’ sin that has been admitted honestly.
Proverbs 28:13
28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes themwill have mercy.
If one keeps his or others’ sin, he will wither spiritually, be cursed and punished. If we confess and forgive the sin each other, God’s love will be poured.
- It is from Holy Spirit.
Romans 5:5
5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Holy Spirit pours the love of God for us. The conditions of receiving Holy Spirit and God’s love are as follows:
- Do not leave Jerusalem (the city of peace). It means we must have the peaceful heart.
Acts 1:4-5
1:4 And being assembled together with them,He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,”He said,“you have heard from Me;
1:5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
- One accord in prayer and supplication.
Acts 1:14
1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
- Keeping the ministry in the Body of Christ.
[Acts 1:15-26] Matthias is chosen to replace Judas.
Holy Spirit will be poured upon us.
Acts 2:1-4
2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
2:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and onesat upon each of them.
2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
At that time, Holy Spirit pours the love of God in our lives.
The functions of love of God are as follows:
- The love of God makes us strong and of good courage, we have the heart that can endure all things.
Romans 5:5
5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
The heart that can endure all things means as follows:
- One does not stumble or become stumbling-block for others.
- One is not disappointed or despair in facing everything, but trusts and hopes to God. One is faithful and fervent in ministry, living in righteousness.
- The love of God gives victory over enemies.
Zephaniah 3:17-18
3:17 The Lordyour God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save;He will rejoice over you with gladness,He will quiet youwith His love,He will rejoice over you with singing.”
3:18 “I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, who are among you,to whomits reproach isa burden.
We win over Satan, the source of problem. It means all problems are finished by God even the impossible ones. We also win over the death so we can have eternal live.
The love of God renews us from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus. It starts from obedience.
If the spiritual miracle happens, the physical one will also happen. God gives the successful and beautiful future, from nothing to something, from impossible to possible. Our steps of life are the ones of miracle.
Until Jesus comes a second time, we are changed to become glorious as He is. We are lifted up on glorious clouds until we sit together with God on the throne in New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
