To Coincide with Fasting Prayer Service Session IIIPeace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16:316:3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.
The second bowl is the sea became blood as of a dead man.
It means the spiritual dead up to the second dead. The spiritual dead means that there is no passion in spiritual things.
What is the sea?
James 1:6-81:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.
1:7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;
1:8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
The sea refers to the one who doubts like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the false teaching, so he falls from the true teaching Word and faith. It is the same as life without faith.Romans 14:2314:23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
"
eats" refers to eating the Word.
Life without faith is the same as the sinner that is unstable in all his ways, weariness and heavy burden. One cannot pray. It means receiving nothing, not being saved, and when the sea becomes blood, he will perish forever.
How to prevent being doubtful?
- We must be swift to hear the Word.
James 1:19-21
1:19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
1:20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
Hebrews 5:11-12
5:11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food.
Being swift to hear the Word means that we must be able to hear the true teaching Word (the solid food) as the continuation of the gospel Word (the milk).
We must hear the Word with gentle heart, so we can do the things as follows:
- Understanding the Word. The proofs are as follows:
- Being slow to speak, we must be silent to do the introspection in our life until we find the sin. If we find it, we must confess and stop sinning.
- Being slow to wrath is the same as patience.
- Believing, so the Word becomes faith in our heart. It is the same as giving the righteousness in ourselves. This is saving our life.
- We must experience the trial of faith.
James 1:2-4
1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
We experience the trial of faith in various temptations, even the impossible one.
Why does God allow us to experience the trial?
- It results the firm faith.
The proof is that we feel joy in facing the temptation. We do not feel desperate.
- It results the perseverance, especially the perseverance in the correct and good shepherding.
The conditions for being shepherded are as follows:
- Staying in the sheepfold or the perseverance in doing the three main services to God, namely the General Service, the Bible Study Service and Holy Communion, and the Prayer Service.
In the sheepfold, our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God, so Satan cannot touch us. It means that Satan cannot make us fall in sins up to the peak, so we can live in righteousness. Satan cannot make us fall in the false teaching, so we can stay firm in the true teaching Word.
- Listening and obeying only to the voice of Shepherd or the shepherding Word, namely the true teaching Word that is repeated. Thus, the true teaching Word becomes the knowledge of wisdom in our life.
James 1:5
1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
We are also employed in the building of the perfect body of Christ.
Matthew 7:24-25
7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
7:25 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
The building of the perfect body of Christ starts from the marriage.
Entering the marriage starts from obedience, so the marriage will be firm up to the perfection.
Proverbs 24:14
24:14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul; If you have found it, there is a prospect, And your hope will not be cut off.
If there is wisdom, we will have the successful and beautiful future up to the eternal life forever.
The perseverance results in the perfect work. Every branch that abides in the true vine, sooner or later will bear the sweet fruit.
James 1:4
1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
The perfect work means experiencing the life renewal from the carnal man to the spiritual one like Jesus.
James 5:16-18
5:16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.
5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
The life renewal refers to confessing and forgiving the sin of each other, so the blood of Jesus wipes our sins and we can live in righteousness. Thus, we can serve and pray for each other.
This is the prayer of the righteous man. The fervent prayer avails much like Elijah's.
The results are as follows:
- The power of protection and caring in the midst of crises in the world up to the age when the Antichrist reigns on earth. We are cared directly by God through the Word and Holy Communion.
- The power of healing. The illness, the financial problem, the sins, et cetera will be restored.
- The power for erasing the impossibilities. There was no rain for three and a half years until Elijah prayed seven times and the heaven gave rain. It means that all impossible problems are finished.
When Jesus comes a second time, we are changed to become perfect as He is to be worthy for greeting His coming on the glorious clouds. We enter the One Thousand Years Kingdom of Peace (the upcoming Paradise) and the New Jerusalem forever.
God blesses us.
