Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The theme:
Job 19:2519:25.For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;Job prophesied about Jesus dying on the cross and rising.
How was Job's condition at that time?
- Being separated or having no relationship with God. He had prayed, but there was no answer and his ways were closed up to having nothing left at all.
Job 19:7-10
19:7."If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice.
19:8 He has fenced up my way, so that I cannot pass; And He has set darkness in my paths.
19:9 He has stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head.
19:10 He breaks me down on every side, And I am gone; My hope He has uprooted like a tree.
- Job had no relationship with others, including his wife who was disgusted at him.
Job 19:13-19
19:13."He has removed my brothers far from me, And my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.
19:14 My relatives have failed, And my close friends have forgotten me.
19:15 Those who dwell in my house, and my maidservants, Count me as a stranger; I am an alien in their sight.
19:16 I call my servant, but he gives no answer; I beg him with my mouth.
19:17 My breath is offensive to my wife, And I am repulsive to the children of my own body.
19:18 Even young children despise me; I arise, and they speak against me.
19:19 All my close friends abhor me, And those whom I love have turned against me.
Thus, Job was the image of man, husband, young man, or pastor who is separated from God and other people.
In consequence, he totally suffered, had nothing at all, and was threatened by the death or perdition.
Job 19:2019:20.My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh, And I have escaped by the skin of my teeth..
In the New Testament, it is the same as Mary Magdalene, the image of woman, mother, widow, or girl.
John 20:10-11,1320:10.Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.
20:11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.
20:13 Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."
Verse 10 = being separated from other people.
'
they have taken away my Lord'= having no relationship with God.
Consequently, there was weeping because of many problems.
The biggest problem in our life is when we have no relationship with God.
It is the same as weeping that brings the everlasting perdition and tears.
The facts found in having no relationship with God are as follows:
- Being disobedient to God. It means only committing sins up to the peak.
Ephesians 2:1-2
2:1.And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
One lives and enjoys in sins up to the peak. He cannot be rebuked anymore.
- Being unfaithful in the service and ministry to God or such thing becomes a usual thing.
Hebrews 10:25-27
10:25.not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the mannerof some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,
10:27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
One does not regret anymore when he cannot serve to God. One more step, he will leave the service and ministry to God or he does not want to serve and ministry to Him although there is chance. Consequently, there is no forgiveness anymore.
- Being unable to see Jesus who has risen in the body of resurrection and glory.
Mary had just been separated from the Lord, but she knew Him as the gardener when she saw Him. It is the same as being disobedient.
It means not being able to see or understand the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ or the true teaching Word.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3.But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this agehas blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
'the god of this age'= the hardness of heart because of keeping the wicked and unclean wills as well as the bitterness.
Be careful! Being sleepy and playful as well as criticizing, rejecting, and despising the true teaching Word when it is being preached, one will always live in tears up to the everlasting ones in the hell.
Thus, one who is separated from God is in tears and problems.
The solutions are as follows:
- Man needs to see Jesus who has risen or get the power of His resurrection.
Job 19:25
19:25. For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;
- Woman must also see the Lord.
Luke 8:2-3
8:2.and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities--Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,
8:3 and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
Mary Magdalene was rich, but she wept. It means that riches, position, and intelligence cannot wipe the tears away.
Only the power of Jesus' resurrection is able to wipe the tears away until there is no teardrop at all and we enter the New Jerusalem.
Only Jesus is able to wipe away the tears. It means that we must see Jesus who has risen in the body of resurrection and glory. It also means that we must enjoy, understand, believe, and obey the Bride Tidings in our daily life.
Revelation 5:4-55:4.So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
5:5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."
John the apostle was exiled to Patmos Island and he wept not because of his suffering, but for the revelation of the Word. It is the same as seeing Jesus who has risen.
The proof is the fervency in hearing the Word.
Suffering, we must change our weeping from the one because of suffering to the one because of hoping the revelation of the Word and we can understand until obeying it. We will never be separated from God anymore. It means having no tear anymore.
For being able to understand and obey the Word or see Jesus who has risen, there are three great hindrances as follows:
- 'She, supposing Him to be the gardener'= stumbling because of the pastor(the gardener refers to the pastor).
John 20:15
20:15.Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?" She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away."
The two attitudes of Mary that hinder to receive the true teaching Word are as follows:
- Adulating a pastor, so one receives the Word with emotion without seeing whether the teaching is true or not. It refers to the stony heart.
Consequently, the Word does not become faith in heart like the plant that has no root.
When the sun shines in its strength, such plant will wither soon. It means the spiritual dryness up to the death, namely looking for the false teaching that is suitable for his will and emotion.
- 'Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me'= bad thought to the pastor. Mary accused her pastor as a liar, not just, a thief, and so on.
Pastor also often has bad thought to the congregation until preaching the Word with emotion.
- Stumbling because of the other members of the congregation--'they have taken away my Lord'.
John 20:13
20:13.Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."
Do neither stumble nor become the stumbling-block! Let us confess and forgive one another when there is problem.
- The condition of the congregation as follows:
- Mary was sad and sorrowful until she could not see Jesus who had risen. It means not being able to receive the true teaching Word.
The sorrow because of anything must be resisted so that we can keep on hearing the Word. Let us hope the power of Holy Spirit.
- Being blessed abundantly, one becomes arrogant and belittles the true teaching Word.
Be careful! Do not be hindered by anything for enjoying the true teaching Word regardless of any cost we must pay.
We must be firm for rejecting the false teachings.
Why? It is because the destiny of our life is determined by our attitude in hearing the true teaching Word.
Receiving the true and firmly rejecting the false, we will rejoice. On the contrary, receiving the false and rejecting the true, one will continually weep up to the everlasting weeping.
John 20:1620:16.Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which is to say, Teacher).
Soon after there was the revelation of the Word, Mary could see Jesus.
In the preaching of the true teaching Word, God knows us privately --'
"Mary!"'--and deeply up to the depth of our heart and every our teardrop. He stretches out His merciful hands to us.
As for us, we can also see the Lord who has risen --'
"Rabboni!"'--or receive and enjoy the true teaching Word until obeying it in our daily life. We stretch out the hands of faith and get the power of the Lord's resurrection.
The results are as follows:
- The power of resurrection sanctifies and changes us until we get the new life, namely not committing any sin, but living in holiness.
Hebrews 8:10-12
8:10."For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
8:11 "None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."
John 20:17
20:17. Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"
1 Timothy 6:10-11
6:10.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 6:11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
'man of God'= new man.
'righteousness'= not being on the side of anyone, but God.
The hand with the power of resurrection is the same as the merciful hand of God that is able to change us until being the man of God, namely hating sin.
- 'go to My brethren'= the power of resurrection is able to give us the ministry and gifts of Holy Spirit, so we are used in the ministry for the edification of the perfect Christ's body through being His witness.
John 20:17
20:17.Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethrenand say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"
John 20:18
20:18.Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her.
'she had seen the Lord'= Mary became the witness of God for preaching the Bride Tidings.
Testifying is the same as helping others. Not being willing to testify is the same as having the debt of blood which cannot be paid by anything until entering the hell.
- The power of resurrection is able to wipe away all our tears.
It means comforting and making us joyful in the midst of sufferings.
If the tears and sins are wiped away, all impossible problems will also be finished; even God is able to help one who has been in death.
When Jesus comes a second time, we will be changed to be as perfect as He is for being worthy to welcome His coming on the glorious clouds. We see Him face to face and enter the marriage supper of the Lamb, the One-Thousand-Years Kingdom of Peace or the future Paradise, and the New Jerusalem. There is no tear at all.
Let us nowadays be in the power of resurrection. We pray that we can enjoy and obey the true teaching Word. God knows our condition and He wants to help us.
God blesses you.
