Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:16-20 is about the commandment to preach the Gospel or to spread the light or shekinah glory. It means we are employed by God in great revival according to the commandment or the great commission of God as follows.

  1. The revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain, namely the revival in the gospel of salvation or gospel Word or good tidings that preaches the first coming of Jesus to die on the cross to save the sinners.
    Matthew 28:19
28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

    1 Timothy 1:15
1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

The chief of the sinners is also saved by Jesus. Thus, all people can be saved and there is no reason of not being saved. The important thing is whether we want or not.

The process of being saved is as follows.

    • Believing or having faith in Jesus.
    • Repenting or stopping sinning to return to Jesus.
    • Being baptized of water and Holy Spirit, so we have life renewal to get heavenly life.
The heavenly life is the life in righteousness and we become the armor of righteousness, namely the servant of God who is faithful and true.

Thus, the death of Jesus is to save the sinners, even the chief of them.

  2. The revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain, namely the revival in the gospel of glory or the teaching Word or the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword. It is also called Bride Tidingspreaching the second coming of Jesus as the King of all kings and Heavenly Bridegroom to make us enter the building of the perfect body of Christ. It is also to sanctify the saved people until they become the Bride of God who is ready to welcome Jesus’ second coming on glorious clouds.

    Matthew 28:20
28:20 "teachingthem to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

    John 2:19-21
2:19 Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in three daysI will raise it up."
2:20 Then the Jews said, "It has taken
forty–six yearsto build this temple, and will You raise it up in three days?"
2:21 But He was speaking of
    the temple of His body.

Jesus dies on the cross in order to make the transition from the building of the physical temple to the spiritual one, namely the building of the perfect body of Christ.

The death of Jesus is to bring us to enter the building of the perfect body of Christ.

Combining both of them, the death of Jesus is to bring the sinners to be saved and all of us to enter the building of the perfect body of Christ, so we are ready to welcome Jesus’ second coming until we can enter the eternal heavenly kingdom.

Why must the building of physical temple turn to the spiritual one?

  1. The physical temple is ruled by the spirit of selling-buying or the spirit of antichrist.
It means all things are made “cheap” as follows.

    • All people are allowed to minister although it is not in line with the true teaching Word and the true consecration.
    • The amenities of the world are filled in the church.
    • Seeking the physical advantage only.

The temple cannot receive the glory of God if it is ruled by the spirit of selling-buying.

  2. The physical temple is in the Law system, so the Gentiles cannot enter it. The forty six yearsrefer to the two tablets of stone, namely the four commandments of the first tablet and the six commandments of the second one. On the contrary, the spiritual temple is built in three days, referring to the system of God’s grace, so the Gentiles can enter it.

The Gentiles can be employed by God in the building of the body of Christ only because of His grace and trust, whose price is the blood of Jesus on the cross nothing in the world may trade.
We must keep the grace and trust of God through being faithful and fervent in spirit doing our ministry in the building of the perfect body of Christ. It begins from our marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, until the perfect body of Christ is formed. Not being faithful and fervent in spirit, the ministry will be turned to others and he cannot get it back. For example, the ministry of Judas Iscariot is turned to Matthias and he cannot get it back.

John 10:22
10:22 Now it was the Feast of Dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter.

Formerly, the building of the temple happened when it was winter.
Now, it means that the finishing of the spiritual temple happens when there is spiritual winter.

Matthew 24:12
24:12 "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

The spiritual coldness means the love grows cold, so the lawlessness abounds, both in unclean and evil saying or deeds. The rebellion begins from marriage and household with quarrel, sexual affairs, divorce, and marrying-being given in marriage. The rebellion also happens in the service and ministry. One leaves the service and ministry because of seeking worldly matters or one actively serves and ministers to God only to seek worldly things.

Commemorating the death of Jesus, we ask God to pour His love, so we will never become cold in our spirituality.
How can we receive the love of God?

  1. Being obedient to the true teaching Word whatever risk we have to face.
    John 14:15
14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.

  2. By the sacrifice of Christ or Holy Communion reconciling our sins.
    1 John 4:9-10
4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Making reconciliation means we confess sin and forgive one another.

We receive the great love of God through the Word and Holy Communion, so we can be delivered from the spiritual winter. We keep on being in the great spiritual revival.

Song of Solomon 2:10-13
2:10 My beloved spoke, and said to me: "Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away.
2:11 For lo,
the winter is past, The rain is over and gone.
2:12
The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledove Is heard in our land.
2:13 The fig tree puts forth her green figs, And the vines with the tender grapes Give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away!

The condition after the winter is past is as follows.

  1. The flowers appear on the earth.
The flowers refer to the youth who is active in the field of God as a colt where Jesus sits on.
    The colt refers to:

    • young people,
    • one who has just received the Bride Tidings,
    • one who is always renewed.

Such person is employed in the building of the body of Christ.

    Mark 11:2-3
11:2 and He said to them, "Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it.
11:3 "And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it,’ and immediately he will send it here."

If God asks us to give something, He will return it. He is responsible for the life He rides on.
The direction is obvious, namely to New Jerusalem.

There are requirements of being the colt where Jesus sits on as follows.

    • Being bound to the true Vine.
      Genesis 49:11
49:11 Binding his donkey to the vine, And his donkey's colt to the choice vine, He washed his garments in wine, And his clothes in the blood of grapes.
Meaning we are shepherded to the true teaching Word. We are attached or bound in it, meaning we cannot be loose or disturbed by strange voice. Being attached means we obey until our flesh does not speak anymore.

Not being shepherded but doubting in the shepherding, there will be terrible consequences as follows.

      • Being wild colt or onager, namely the wild flesh doing uncleanness and evil sins.
Balaam will sit on such colt to go toward Babylon, the peak of evil and uncleanness.

      • Being demon-possessed, meaning one cannot receive the advice.
        Mark 5:2-5
5:2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
5:3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,
5:4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.
5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

The wild life is as the beast with evil and uncleanness in the saying and deeds.
Not being well-shepherded, one will stay at the tomb, referring to the lengthening of the death such as the discotheque, movie theatre, et cetera. Such person cuts himself with stone, meaning the marriage becomes a tomb where the husband does not love the wife, the wife does not submit to the husband, and the children do not obey the parents. In addition, the service and ministry also become the tomb where the entertainment and prosperity are prioritized.
The tomb is the place of the dead, meaning one dies in the spirituality until perishes forever.

    • Being sanctified by the true teaching Word.
      John 15:3
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

It is especially to sanctify us from the sins of Judas Iscariotas follows.

      • Stealing, especially the possession of God, namely the tithes and offerings.
      • Lying or not confessing sin but blaming others.
      • Hypocrisy or pretense.
      • Betrayal, especially to the true teaching Word, ministry, and marriage.

      Mark 11:7
11:7 Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.

The result of sanctification is we can offer our energy, money, thought, feelings, et cetera until our whole life to God. Moreover, we can give to other people who need, whether in the marriage, shepherding, or inter-shepherding.

      Revelation 19:8
19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

The acts of giving will become the garment of the Bride of God.

  2. The voice of the turtledove, referring to the song of the Bride.
    Song of Solomon 2:12
2:12 The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the turtledoveIs heard in our land.

    Revelation 14:2-3
14:2 And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of loud thunder. And I heard the sound of harpists playing their harps.
14:3 They sang as it were
a new songbefore the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty–four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.

Everyone has the private song, referring to the private experience in the following to Jesus.

    1 Peter 2:21,24-25
2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness––by whose stripes you were healed.
2:25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

The experience in following Jesus is same as following the step of Great Shepherd in His death and resurrection or the step of the valley and mountain.
The death step means the suffering in the flesh to die to sin. It can be in fasting, et cetera.
The step of resurrection is suffering in the flesh in order to live in righteousness.
Combining both of them, there will be a new song.

    Revelation 19:6
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

The valley and mountain will drag the grace of God, the Great Shepherd, to preserve our body, soul, and spirit.

  3. The fig tree begins to produce fruits.
    Song of Solomon 2:13
2:13a The fig tree puts forth her green figs,

The fig tree refers to the original Israel.

    Matthew 24:32
24:32"Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

Someday the house of Israel will be meek in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain, to wait for the second coming of Jesus. The opportunity for the Gentiles will be closed at that time.

Tonight we must be meek through the death of Jesus.

    • The fig tree in Garden Eden has the leaves but they are used to cover the nakedness of Adam and Eve.
It refers to self-truth, namely covering sins by blaming others and God. Keeping the self-truth, one will get total failure as Job experiences.

      Job 32:1-2
32:1 So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
32:2 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.

      Job 42:5-6
42:5 I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
42:6 Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."

Job is the representative of men, fathers, and pastors that must learn to be meek and confess the powerlessness and unworthiness, so he can rely only in God.

    • The fig tree by the road has leaves but there is no fruit. Jesus is hungry and He looks for the fruit but there is not, so it is cursed.
By the road means not being shepherded. Young people often cannot submit. They have many ministries, referring to the many leaves, but there is no obedience until they get failures.

      1 Peter 5:5
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

The young people must be shepherded and obedient, so they are in the mighty hand of God that is able to make all things successful and beautiful in His time. God exalts us on the glorious clouds.

    • The fig tree on the last days.
      John 11:31-32
11:31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, "She is going to the tomb to weep there."
11:32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."

Mary faces the death of Lazarus for four days, referring to the rottenness of economy, impossible things, and the rottenness because of sin, or the destruction in marriage and children. The fig tree will only produce the leaves if it mourns, namely blaming others and God.

The woman must learn to be meek and confess the mistake as well as believe in the grace of God.

We are renewed continually until we become as glorious as Jesus is. We are exalted when He comes a second time and we are with Him forever.

God blesses you.
