Matthew 26:6-13 is about
the preparation of passover.Matthew 26:7,1226:7 a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.
26:12 "For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial.
There was a woman pouring oil to prepare Jesus' burial. Jesus has been buried means the proof that Jesus has been dead as a fact.
The woman pouring oil to prepare Jesus' burial means spiritually that
we also have to undergo death experience together with Jesus.
There are four people related to Jesus' burial as follows:
- The woman pouring oil to Jesus' body or life undergoing death experience together with Jesus.
The fact found in it is living in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
The process of flesh blood human's living in the anointing of Holy Spirit is as follows:
- Believing or having faith in Jesus.
Acts 19:2-6
19:2 he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."
19:3 And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism."
19:4 Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus."
19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
19:6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
- Repenting, stopping sinning to return to God or being dead to sin.
- Being baptized of water to get new life, namely righteous life.
Romans 6:4
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Holy Spirit will never come to life who keeps something wrong and s/he will become dry spiritually.
- Being baptized or full of Holy Spirit, living in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Afterward, Holy Spirit gives us the gifts of Holy Spirit, namely miraculous gifts to minister God according to our priest's office.
Persevering in the anointing and gifts of Holy Spirit, they will increase to become permanent gifts of Holy Spirit as the garland of twelve stars.
It indeed needs sufferings to live in righteousness but we will get the garland.
Revelation 12:1
12:1. Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
The garland of twelve stars is useful to enter into the marriage supper of the Lamb of God, to meet Jesus on glorious clouds at the time of His second coming.
Song of Solomon 3:11
3:11 Go forth, O daughters of Zion, And see King Solomon with the crown With which his mother crowned him On the day of his wedding, The day of the gladness of his heart.
Do not be afraid! There is glory behind the death experience.
- Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus (two people).
John 19:38-40
19:38. After this, Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus.
19:39 And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.
19:40 Then they took the body of Jesus, and bound it in strips of linen with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.
They were rich, intelligent, and reputable, but they were willing to make efforts to undergo death experience together with Jesus. We, who have nothing or only have little intelligence or little money, have to be willing in experiencing the death together with Jesus.
The practice Joseph of Arimathea' deed is giving fine linen for Jesus' burial.
The fine linen refers to good and righteous deed.
In shorts, undergoing death experience means DOING GOOD AND RIGHTEOUS WORKS.
Good righteous works are our giving for the building of Christ's body in form of money, energy, time, thought, up to our whole life for God
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
9:7 So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
The requirement of giving for the ministry of building Christ's body is with the purpose in heart, not grudgingly or of necessity but with cheer.
The Lord never fools us. Doing good righteous works, one of which is giving, we get the grace of God as follows:
- To preserve our life until we have sufficiency in all things such as food, clothes, study, et cetera.
- To give us abundance for every good work that will become clean bright fine linen or the garment of Bride.
Revelation 19:7-8
19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Nicodemus gives a mixture of sweet smelling myrrh and aloes for Jesus' burial.
It means death experience together with Jesus.
The fact found in it is worshiping God as sweet smelling myrrh and aloes, that is to say one hour prayer, fasting prayer, and all night prayer.
Worship prayer is the process of tearing flesh, so we get life renewalfrom carnal man to spiritual man as sweet-smelling aroma before God.
Nicodemus was a clever religion teacher who used logic many times so he might not believe in Jesus many times and had many questions. The logic is being burnt through worship prayer to become faith, believing and entrusting ourselves fully to God. Such is a sweet-smelling aroma before God.
John 3:3-4,9-10
3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
3:4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
3:9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, "How can these things be?"
3:10 Jesus answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?
Being renewed continually, someday the worship will become great worship from four corners of the earth at the time of Jesus' second coming.
Revelation 19:6-7
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
We will be lifted up on the glorious clouds at the time of Jesus' second coming, be glorified together with Him crying "Alleluia" with all people from the four corners of the earth.
- Mary standing near Jesus' tomb weeping.
John 20:10-11
20:10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.
20:11 But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb.
The practice is real through not going home fast, namely being faithful enjoying the death experience together with Jesus.
Enjoying the death experience, we are near to resurrection and glory.
Do not want to get out of the death experience fast, or else there will be these consequences:
- Making own way outside the Word. The way out we make by ourselves which is outside the Word is not a solution but dead-end and perdition forever.
- Being disappointed and leaving God.
Suffering without any sin together with Jesus is as drinking sour wine. As a result, there is new wine.
We have to cry much more undergoing death experience, and the crying must be brought to the right cryingas follows:
- Crying that we will not be separated with God.
John 20:13
20:13Then they said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."
Meaning we are faithful in shepherding, in committing service and ministry, and there must be Jesus there. Being separated with Him, there must be Satan giving us suffering, seeing that there was epileptic on the foot of mountain when Jesus was on the top of the mountain.
- Crying for getting the revelation of God's Word.
Revelation 5:4-5
5:4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
5:5 But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals."
John 20:16
20:16 Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!" (which is to say, Teacher).
God knows our condition privatelywhen the Word is revealed (Jesus said "Mary!"), and we also know Him(Mary said to Him "Rabboni!").
Our relationship with God is increased as follows:
- Relationship between student and teacher, meaning we can understand teaching Word.
- Relationship between brothers, meaning we can practice the Word.
John 20:17
20:17 Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"
Matthew 12:48-50
12:48 But He answered and said to the one who told Him, "Who is My mother and who are My brothers?"
12:49 And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, "Here are My mother and My brothers!
12:50 "For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sisterand mother."
Ecclesiastes 7:11-12
7:11. Wisdom is good with an inheritance, And profitable to those who see the sun.
7:12 For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, But the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.
The Word we have practiced will become wisdom in our life, whose function is as follows:
- To preserve and to protect us in the middle of difficulties in the world.
- To preserve and to protect us in the time of antichrist's reigning over the world for three years and half.
- Relationship between body and Head.
John 20:17
20:17 Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.'"
1 Corinthians 11:3
11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
It is relationship in obedience. Obeying parents, pastor, and God much more, Jesus as the Head cares us and fights for us.
John 19:29-30
19:29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Jesus drank sour wine on the cross saying "It is finished!", meaning as follows:
- Jesus as the Head is able to settle all our problems, bitterness, suffering, and tears. All of them are replaced with new wine or heavenly joy.
- The Lord is able to finish what He has planned in our life beautifully.
Job 23:13-14
23:13. "But He is unique, and who can make Him change? And whatever His soul desires, that He does.
23:14 For He performs what is appointed for me, And many such things are with Him.
Facing condition which has not been beautiful yet, it means the plan of God has not been finished yet.
- God is able to finish the renewal of our life until we are ready to welcome Jesus' second coming and we enter into the marriage supper of the Lamb, into kingdom of peace a thousand years, and into eternal heavenly kingdom.
Revelation 21:5-6
21:5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
21:6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
God blesses you.
