Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 27 refers to seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of Covenant. Now it means the suffering experienced by Jesus up to His death on the cross to save, purify, and perfect us.
In Matthew 27, there are seven passages that refer to seven sprinklings of blood experienced by Jesus.
We learn about the fifth passage, namely
miracles that happen at the time of Jesus’ death[Matthew 27:51-56]. Many lives mock Jesus when He is crucified, but afterwards miracles happen. Therefore, do not be afraid in death experience because there are miracles of God behind it.
The first miracle is the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
Matthew 27:51
27:51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,If the veil is torn, the results are as follows.
- We can see the Ark of the Covenant.
- A new and living way is opened for us.
Hebrews 10:19-21
10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
10:20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
10:21 and havinga High Priest over the house of God,
ad. 2. A new and living way is opened for us, up to the way to Heaven.
There are three new and living ways which are opened by the death of Jesus on the cross as follows.
- Israelites walk through the midst of the sea on dry ground (the Gate).
Exodus 14:16,21
14:16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry groundthrough the midst of the sea.
14:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go backby a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
Israelites face deadlock and death, but God asks Moses to lift up the rod so the sea goes back by a strong east wind and Israelites shall go on dry ground.
The rod denotes the cross; the east wind denotes the power of Holy Spirit.
John 16:7
16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
If Jesus dies, rises, and ascends to the Heaven, Holy Spirit will be poured.
For us now, new and living way is way after water baptism, way in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
The process is as follows:
- Believing, having faith on Jesus.
- Repenting, stopping sinning to return to God.
- Water baptism.
- Holy Spirit baptism.
One who lives in the anointing of Holy Spirit will always look at the cross and live in righteousness.
Proverbs 10:2-3
10:2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing,
But righteousness delivers from death.
10:3 The Lord will not allow the righteous soul to famish,
But He casts away the desire of the wicked.
The results of living in righteousness are as follows.
- Being saved from death/ perdition.
- Living in abundance physically, that is always giving thanks to God.
Grumbling is the sign of unsteady salvation.
- Being saved by God, there is way out in facing impossibility.
- Israelites walk through the midst of Jordan on dry ground to go to Canaan (the Holy Place).
Joshua 3:2-4
3:2 So it was, after three days, that the officers went through the camp;
3:3 and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, and the priests, the Levites, bearing it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.
3:4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you must go, for you have not passed thisway before.”
The spiritual meaning of Canaan is the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain, which is led by the ark of the covenant, that is the true teaching Word or Bride Tidings. The revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain leads us to the highest relation, namely relation between the Heavenly Bridegroom and the perfect bride. Relation between the Father and son can be separated, relation between the Shepherd and sheep can also be separated, but relation between the Head (Bridegroom) and the body (bride) cannot be separated at all.
After being saved, we must enter the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain, namely the revival of building the perfect body of Christ.
Thus, new and living way is the way of God’s usage on our life in the revival of building the perfect body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:8-12
4:8 Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”
4:9 (Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
4:10 He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
4:11 And He Himself gave some to beapostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Jesus dies on the cross, rises, and ascends to the Heaven to give us the ministry and gifts of Holy Spirit so we can be used in the ministry of building the perfect body of Christ. Ministry and gifts of Holy Spirit are as the beautiful tunic. When we serve God, God is beautifying our life.
The requirement to be used in the ministry of building the body of Christ is holiness [Ephesians 4:12].
How can we be sanctified? By seeing the ark of the covenant, or the true teaching Word, or Bride Tidings. Do not see the others; do not talk about the other’s faults. It will just make us go astray. Where can we be sanctified? We can be sanctified by the true teaching Word within the Holy Place (the volume of the Holy Place is two thousand cubits, which equals to the distance to the ark of the covenant). In the Holy Place, there are three types of equipment as follows.
- Golden Candlestick, that is perseverance in General Service fellowship with God the Holy Spirit.
- Table of Showbread, that is perseverance in Bible Study Service with Holy Communion fellowship with the Son of God.
- Golden Altar of Incense, that is perseverance in Prayer Service fellowship with God the Father.
Through these three main services, our body, soul, and spirit meet God the Trinity or Lord Jesus Christ.
Within shepherding, we experience intensive purification. It is started from heart purification.
Acts 1:24-26
1:24 And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen
1:25 to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.”
1:26 And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias. And he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
Mark 7:21-23
7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22 thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
7:23 All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
If one’s heart is not sanctified, it will be filled with evil and unclean desire and become hard and haughty. This kind of life cannot be advised. He does not want to confess his sins and forgive the others.
The heart must be purified so we can confess our sins and forgive the others, and we can be obedient.
If heart is sanctified, lips will also be sanctified so there are only words from the Word.
If the heart and lips are sanctified, we can become a humble, gentle, and patient servant of God, so we can serve Him obediently and faithfully.
John 4:34
4:34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.
Ministering God obediently and faithfully means giving food to Him. It is a ministry that satisfies and glorifies God. Thus, He will give us new and living way, He will tidy up our life.
- The way behind the veil, meaning the perfection way (the Holiest Place).
Hebrews 10:19-20
10:19 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,
10:20 by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh,
Ephesians 5:25-27
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
Jesus dies on the cross to sanctify and cleanse us doubly through water baptism and the water of teaching Word, especially during Bible Study Service, until we are perfect and blameless as He is.
Leviticus 14:8-9
14:8 He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean. After that he shall come into the camp, and shall stay outside his tent seven days.
14:9 But on the seventh day he shall shave all the hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows—all his hair he shall shave off. He shall wash his clothes and wash his body in water, and he shall be clean.
This double sanctification is to sanctify leprosy, that is:
- Uncleanness = the peak of sins, namely eating-drinking sin and marrying-being given in marriage sin.
- Self-truth, which is started from disputing the true teaching Word.
Self-truth also means covering sins by blaming the others up to blaming God, covering sins by pretending doing good.
Job 32:1-2
32:1 So these three men ceased answering Job, because he wasrighteous in his own eyes.
32:2 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.
When we are in success or failure, we must be aware so there is no self-truth.
Actually it is enough that Jesus cleanses us from leprosy by water baptism and the Word. But frequently we do not want to be sanctified, so God let us be tested thoroughly as Job. It is to cleanse us until we can confess that we are only dust and ashes.
Job 42:5-6
42:5 “I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
But now my eye sees You.
42:6 Therefore I abhor myself,
And repent in dust and ashes.”
Confessing that we are only dust and ashes means confessing that we are not worthy and can do nothing. We are only intended to be trampled down. We only see Jesus as King of kings, the Heavenly Bridegroom. We know Jesus privately until the clay is within the hands of Jesus the Potter.
The results of being within the merciful hands of the Potter are as follows.
- He is able to create something that does not exist before. He is able to make possible the impossible things.
- He is able to recover our life physically and spiritually.
- He creates us to become the vessel of glory of God, until we are perfect and glorious as He is on His second coming. We will see Him face to face.
God blesses us.
