Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14:6-13 is about the proclamations of the punishment.
Revelation 14:6-714:6. Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospelto preach to those who dwell on the earth--to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people--
14:7. saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgmenthas come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water."
We have learned about three angels in Revelation 14:6-13. The first angel preaches about two things, namely the everlasting gospel and the judgment.
The first angel preaches the everlasting gospel. It has three steps as follows:
- The gospel of salvation or good news (Ephesians 1:13). It preaches about Jesus' first coming to the world to die and rise for redeeming the sinners. The gospel of salvation makes us believe in God, repent, and experience new birth to receive eternal life.
John 3:5
3:5. Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Water and Spirit baptisms are the base to enter the heavenly kingdom and receive eternal life.
The true water baptism is that one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him, so the heavens are opened. As a result, we receive new life. We live in the anointing of Holy Spirit, namely life in righteousness. Living in righteousness is the same as being saved, so we are not destroyed.
- The light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, the Bride Tidings, or the true teaching Word. It preaches about Jesus' second coming to purify the saved people up to perfection.
- The everlasting gospel, namely the Good News and Bride Tidings. It is God's word of eternal life.
John 6:68
6:68. But Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
If we do not receive the gospel Word, we will not receive the teaching one, so we will surely be destroyed. The example is Judas Iscariot.
The everlasting gospel prepares us to enter and inherit the eternal kingdom of heaven, so we receive eternal life.
The first angel does not only preach the gospel but also God's punishment for those who reject the everlasting gospel or God's word, so they are destroyed forever. They receive eternal punishment in the hell.
John 12:47-4812:47. "And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
12:48. "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
Rejecting the gospel means that one does not want to receive God's word, or he hears it but does not obey it. His life is contrary to the Word of God. One who rejects the gospel must be judged and punished.
That is why we must receive the everlasting gospel, namely the gospel Word and the true teaching one.
Receiving God's word means that we hear and obey the Word, so we can judge and do the introspection in our life until we realize all of our sins including the peak of sin. Further, we can confess our sin to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven! As a result, we are justified and saved by the working of the gospel Word, and we are purified by the teaching Word up to perfection. If we have been perfected, we will not experience the punishment but entering the eternal kingdom of heaven.
There are three kinds of punishment in Revelation 14 as follows:
- The punishment for those who reject the everlasting gospel (verse 6-7).
- The punishment for Babylon (verse 8).
- The punishment for those who worship the Antichrist (verse 9-10).
We learn about the first punishment.
We receive the everlasting gospel to receive eternal life. Those who are punished are those who reject God's word. One who has eternal life can be seen from his daily life. One who has eternal life has the fear of God. So, those who reject the everlasting gospel are men including the servants of God who do not have the fear of God.
Malachi 1:6-71:6. "A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the LORD of hosts To you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, 'In what way have we despised Your name?'
1:7. "You offer defiled food on My altar. But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the LORD is contemptible.'Rejecting the gospel of salvation is the same as not living in righteousness. Rejecting the teaching Word is the same as not living in holiness or those who bring defiled food on God's altar.
The meanings of bringing defiled food on God's altar are as follows:
- Bringing defiled life as follows:
- The defiled heart.
Mark 7:21-23
7:21. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22. thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
7:23. "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
The defiled heart and mind are unclean and wicked heart and mind, namely hard and disobedient heart. The defiled heart has twelve evil desires, unclean desires, and bitterness, so one cannot have the twelve loaves which should be put on the Table of Showbread. The twelve loaves are set in two rows, six in a row. It refers to 66 books in the Bible, namely the Word of God. Our table of life should be filled with the bread of the word of God. The Word of God is the brake for us, so we do not sin. If there is no Word of God, we will just commit sins up to the peak.
- The defiled deed.
Isaiah 59:1-3
59:1. Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
59:2. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.
59:3. For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity.
The defiled deed is the sinful one up to the peak, the one that harms others or righteous people, and the one that deceives the righteous people.
- The defiled words refer to the idle words, namely lie, gossip, evil speaking, and blasphemy to God and the Word.
The defiled heart, deed, and words will separate us from God.
- Bringing the defiled marriage, namely the one that is not in line with the Word. It is started from the beginning of marriage. From the beginning, the true marriage must be blessed by parents of both side, government (civil registry), and God. The requirements of the true marriage are as follows:
- One faith, one baptism (one ark), and one shepherding.
- Holiness. Do not fall into sin!
The journey of the marriage may not become defiled. There is no quarrel, violence, infidelity, and marrying-giving in marriage.
If there is quarrel in marriage, namely husband does not love his wife, wife does not submit to her husband, and child does not obey his parents, we will not be able to serve to God. The falling in the beginning of the marriage is not only about breaking the holiness of bed, but also fraud and infidelity in relationship.
- Ministering in defiled ordination.
Luke 16:13-15
16:13. "No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon."
16:14. Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him.
16:15. And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
Ministering in defiled ordination means becoming the servant of money. They minister to God to get money, so they surely deride Him.
Ministering in defiled ordination also means becoming the servant of man. They minister to please men. They use self-truth that matches the logic but breaks the Word.
For example, Judas Iscariot always rejects the true teaching Word, so his life hangs between heaven and the earth. Judas Iscariot serves the Pharisees and the scribe. He pleases men and resists against God to get money. Consequently, he hangs himself and falls headlong. It means loving the worldly company, money, and men, but without the love of God.
He bursts open in the middle and all his entrails gush out. It means that all of wickedness and decay in the heart will be shown and he is ashamed, but there is no forgiveness anymore.
Malachi 2:1-32:1. "And now, O priests, this commandment is for you.
2:2. If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name," Says the LORD of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.
2:3. "Behold, I will rebuke your descendants And spread refuse on your faces, The refuse of your solemn feasts; And one will take you away with it.
If we do not have the fear of God, we will bring defiled life to Him. The consequences are as follows:
- Living in curse.
- Being embarrassed by God.
- His bone is broken like the criminals who are crucified with Jesus.
He is the servant of God, but actually he is a criminal before God because he brings defiled life.
The broken bone means not being complete. He cannot become perfect when Jesus comes a second time.
Do not see the ministry that can be seen! Let the Word do the introspection in our life, so our life is not defiled anymore.
The condition in the book of Malachi is the repetition of the congregation at Mount Sinai who worshiped the golden calf.
Exodus 32:9-10,6,18-1932:9. And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-neckedpeople!
32:10. "Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation."
32:6. Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
32:18. But he said: "It is not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat, But the sound of singing I hear."
32:19. So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses' anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.
The defiled life will not worship God, but golden calf. He hardens his heart (the defiled heart). He lives in defiled marriage, namely eating, drinking, and rising up to play. He ministers in defiled ordination which is only addressed to the physical thing (gold).
Be careful in our journey from earth to Canaan, namely the eternal kingdom of heaven, because the golden calf wants to obstruct through one who does not have the fear of God. One who rejects the everlasting gospel will be judged and punished.
Exodus 32:26-2932:26. then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, "Whoever is on the LORD's side -- come to me." And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
32:27. And he said to them, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Let every man put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.' "
32:28. So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.
32:29. Then Moses said, "Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, that He may bestow on you a blessing this day, for every man has opposed his son and his brother."
The way out is that the priests are chosen and separated by Moses. The priests are responsible to stand between God and the congregation and become the intermediary, so we must be serious.
One who is on the side of God may not be on the side of his family. The priests must put their sword on. It means holding fast and obeying the true teaching Word. We can experience the purification continuously until we receive the number three thousand.
Three thousand is two thousand (the volume of the Holy Place) added with a thousand (the volume of the Most Holy Place).
A holy and righteous man will always be in the sheepfold (the Holy Place), so Satan cannot touch him. We have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in General Service, the Son of God in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion, and God the Father in Prayer Service. We are purified continuously until we enter the Most Holy Place, namely receiving eternal life with God and we are worthy to enter the eternal kingdom of heaven.
What must be purified?
- The heart and mind which are wicked and unclean. The hard heart, deed, and words must be purified, so our whole life is purified.
Hebrews 4:12
4:12. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
- The marriage and children must be purified.
1 Kings 3:16,22,24-26,28
3:16. Now two women who were harlots came to the king, and stood before him.
3:22. Then the other woman said, "No! But the living one is my son, and the dead one is your son." And the first woman said, "No! But the dead one is your son, and the living one is my son." Thus they spoke before the king.
3:24. Then the king said, "Bring me a sword." So they brought a sword before the king.
3:25. And the king said, "Divide the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the other."
3:26. Then the woman whose son was living spoke to the king, for she yearned with compassion for her son; and she said, "O my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him!" But the other said, "Let him be neither mine nor yours, but divide him."
3:28. And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had rendered; and they feared the king, for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him to administer justice.
The marriage is purified from infidelity and quarrel, so we have mercy. We can confess and forgive one another. How sharp the sword of the Word of purification is, it is God's mercy to purify and help us, so we also have mercy to others. All of sins and problems are finished. We can return to the true marriage.
- The true ordination.
Judges 3:14,16-17,21-22
3:14. So the children of Israel served Eglon king of Moab eighteen years.
3:16. Now Ehud made himself a dagger (it was double-edged and a cubit in length) and fastened it under his clothes on his right thigh.
3:17. So he brought the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. (Now Eglon was a very fat man.)
3:21. Then Ehud reached with his left hand, took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly.
3:22. Even the hilt went in after the blade, and the fat closed over the blade, for he did not draw the dagger out of his belly; and his entrails came out.
The Israelites were colonized for eighteen years. It refers to 666, namely Mammon or the Antichrist. King Eglon was very fat. It refers to the love of money, tribute, or the will of money. It refers to one who holds fat. Fat is God's that we must return, namely the tithe and special offerings. We need the sword to purify us from the will of money. We are set free from the will of money, so we can return the possession of God, namely the tithe and special offerings; even we can sacrifice for God.
Purified life, marriage, and ordination refer to producing fragrance and being pleasant before God. It is the same as being on the side of God, so He is on the side of us. God is with us. We need God more than anything. Without God, the heaven will mean nothing.
Romans 8:31-32
8:31. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
8:32. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? If God is with us, the results are as follows:
- God blesses us through His cross. God takes care of us abundantly (the cross is the plus sign), so we can always give thanks to Him.
- God gives victory over the enemy. We are free from sin, death, and punishment. We win over any obstruction and obstacle. We can be used in the revival in the last rain, namely the one of the building of the perfect body of Christ.
- God protects us from the anger and persecution of the Antichrist who will reign over the world for three and a half years. We are evacuated, protected, and taken care of by God directly in the wilderness.
Psalm 124:1-5
124:1. <<A Song of Ascents. Of David.>> "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side," Let Israel now say--
124:2. "If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, When men rose up against us,
124:3. Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us;
124:4. Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul;
124:5. Then the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul."
- God is able to deliver us out of fear, distress, toil, and tears. We can experience peace, so all things become easy and light although in the midst of shocks like Jesus' sleeping in the tempest. God is able to finish all of impossible problems. God will help all of us.
Psalm 118:5-9
118:5. I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.
118:6. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?
118:7. The LORD is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
18:8. It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.
118:9. It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in princes.
- God protects us from upcoming punishment or judgment (three times seven condemnations and doomsday) up to eternal punishment in the hell. We are lifted up on the glorious clouds to greet Jesus when He comes a second time until the everlasting gospel brings us to enter the eternal kingdom of heaven.
We are on the side of God and He is on the side of us, so we are with Him forever. God always struggles for us. Moses' prayer in the wilderness was that God was with him. We cannot do anything without God.
God blesses us.
