Pee and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The whole Matthew 27 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of the Covenant. It means the suffering Jesus experiences to save, sanctify, and perfect us.
We are studying the sixth passage in Matthew 27:56-61 about Jesus is buried.
Jesus is buried to prove that He truly dies.
Matthew 27:61
27:61 And Mary Magdalene was there, and the other Mary, sitting opposite the tomb. The term ‘sitting opposite the tomb’ means as follows.
- Enjoying death experience with Jesus. Thus, we will experience nine kinds of heavenly joys written in Matthew 5:3-12.
- Do not want to leave death experience in haste, but be patient in it. Or be patient in waiting God’s time.
This morning, we discuss the second meaning.
There are two mistakes that happen in facing death experience as follows.
- Being disappointed and grumbling.
- Looking for a way out outside the Word.
Outside the Word of God, there are only deadlock and perdition forever.
Thus, we must be patient in experiencing death or cross experience. It means being patient in waiting God’s time.
The daily practices of being patient in facing death experiences are as follows.
- Coming to the throne of grace of Jesus as the High Priest, at the right hand of God.
Hebrews 4:14-16
4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast ourconfession.
4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all pointstempted as we are, yetwithout sin.
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 2:17
2:17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like Hisbrethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertainingto God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
Coming to the throne of Jesus means we always experience propitiation service by Jesus as the High Priest who is faithful and merciful, to reconcile our sins, to justify and save us.
Acts 16:30-34
16:30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
16:31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
16:32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed theirstripes. And immediately he and all his familywere baptized.
16:34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.
What must we do to be saved?
- We must believe and have faith on Jesus by listening to the Word of God.
- The Word of God points our sin and urges us to confess it. Thus the blood of Jesus will forgive us. After being forgiven, we should not do sin anymore.
We must start repenting from eight sins which set us apart from the throne of God and drown us to the lake which burns with fire and brimstone.
Revelation 21:8
21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
The close of these eight sins is lying. We must be watchful so that we never lie.
- Water baptism.
Romans 6:4
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The true water baptism is one who has died from sins must be buried with Jesus through baptism, to be raised in newness of life or Heavenly life, namely life in righteousness. It is as eight people who enter the ark of Noah. If one family may enter the true water baptism, that is the grace of God and the Heavenly joy which is more than anything.
If we do not want to be baptized in water baptism, or we keep defending the eight sins, we will be buried in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone forever in the hell.
But if we together with our sins are buried in water baptism, we enter the ark of Noah. It means as follows.
- We are saved and not judged.
- All our weariness and heavy burdens will be born by Jesus. Our life becomes easy and light.
Hebrews 4:15
4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all pointstempted as we are, yetwithout sin.
- The hands of High Priest are stretched out to help us in all problems even the impossible one, right on His time.
Hebrews 2:17-18
2:17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like Hisbrethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertainingto God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
2:18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
Hebrews 4:16
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- Being shepherded in the true shepherding.
1 Peter 5:2-6
5:2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;
5:3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;
5:4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to yourelders. Yes, all of yoube submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
Exodus 32:25
32:25 Now when Moses saw that the people wereunrestrained (for Aaron had not restrained them, to theirshame among their enemies),
Outside the shepherding, one will be like unrestrained horse.
The requirements to be shepherded are as follows.
- Entering the shepherding pen. It equals to entering the Holy Place, where there are three kinds of equipment as follows.
- Golden Candlestick, that is perseverance in General Service.
- Table of Showbread, that is perseverance in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion.
- Golden Altar of Incense, that is perseverance in Prayer Service.
Within the shepherding pen, the wild flesh is restrained to become the sheep of God.
- We must not minister God by compulsion but willingly. We also minister Him not for dishonest gain but eagerly.
1 Peter 5:2
5:2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;
- Being examples in right and good words and deeds.
1 Peter 5:3
5:3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;
- Being submissive and obedient.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to yourelders. Yes, all of yoube submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
We stretch out our hands to the Chief Shepherd and He will stretch out His hands to us. The High Priest will embrace our life closely and exalt us in His time. We will be successful in His time.
The term ‘exalting’ means we are used in the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain, until we receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
1 Peter 5:4
5:4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
- Willingness to experience flesh suffering without any sins.
Ecclesiastes 3:11-12
3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
3:12 I know that nothing isbetter for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,
The work of God from beginning to end is to make everything beautiful in its time. But often we cannot find out the work of God.
Flesh suffering without any sins means as follows.
- To turn off the flesh desire that makes our life not beautiful.
- To change and renew us from flesh man to become spiritual man.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17
4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward manis perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding andeternal weight of glory,
John 2:3-5,9
2:3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
2:4 Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”
2:5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
2:9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
Worried and doubtful heart must be renewed to become heart that believes.
Impatient heart must be renewed to become patient heart.
Heart that rebels and argues must be renewed to become obedient heart.
Lips must say right and good words, testify and worship God.
Thus our life will be happy and beautiful. It continues until the happiest and most beautiful time is in His second coming.
God blesses us.
