Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 27:57-61 is the sixth sprinkling of blood, namely
JESUS IS BURIED.
Matthew 27:57-60
27:57 Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
27:58 This man went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be given to him.
27:59 When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
27:60 and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock; and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb, and departed. Why must the body of Jesus be brought down from the cross and buried?
- Because the body of one who died on the cross is accursed of God. His body shall not remain overnight so that we do not defile the promised land.
Deuteronomy 21:22-23
21:22 “If a man has committed a sin deserving of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree,
21:23 his body shall not remain overnight on the tree, but you shall surely bury him that day, so that you do not defile the land which the Lord your God is giving you asan inheritance; for he who is hanged isaccursed of God.
- Because the body of one who died on the cross is accursed of God. His body shall not remain on the Sabbath so that we do not defile the Sabbath.
John 19:31
19:31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day,that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and thatthey might be taken away.
In Old Testament, Sabbath is the rest on the seventh day.
In New Testament, Sabbath is the rest in Holy Spirit. We experience Sabbath when we are anointed by Holy Spirit.
Actually there are three types of Sabbath as follows.
- Little Sabbath, that is the rest in the anointing of Holy Spirit, which can be experienced anytime.
- Great Sabbath, which refers to the kingdom of peace a thousand years.
- Eternal Sabbath, which refers to the New Jerusalem, the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
Revelation 22:3
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.If we want to experience the rest in the anointing of Holy Spirit, Sabbath at the kingdom of peace a thousand years, up to Sabbath at the eternal kingdom of heaven, there shall be no more curse in our life.
There are three matters that cause curse as follows.
- Not obeying the voice of the Lord.
Deuteronomy 28:15
28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
The voice of God is the Word said by God Himself. It is the Word whose secret is revealed, one verse is explained by another verse within the Holy Bible.
Deuteronomy 28:22
28:22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish.
The consequence of being disobedient is experiencing curse, that is spiritual fever or being lukewarm. It means being lukewarm in the true teaching Word.
The example of life who has fever is the mother in law of Peter. She represents life who prepares the bride, namely God’s servant who has received Bride Tidings for a long time. Many of them are lukewarm.
If we are lukewarm spiritually, there must be something that is not right, and we will fall down spiritually.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while theark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
Being disobedient means not wanting to enter the ark of Noah or the true water baptism.
Colossians 2:12
2:12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Himthrough faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
The true water baptism is being buried with Jesus in water so we are raised in the newness of life. New life is having good conscience, namely being obedient.
If we reject the true water baptism, we must be buried on the lake of fire and brimstone (the hell) forever.
- Doing the work of the Lord deceitfully, and being negligent in the sword of the Word.
Jeremiah 48:10
48:10 Cursed ishe who does the work of the Lord deceitfully,
And cursed ishe who keeps back his sword from blood.
Matthew 25:26-30
25:26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
25:27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
25:28 Therefore take the talent from him, and give itto him who has ten talents.
25:29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
25:30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Being negligent in the work of the Lord means being wicked and lazy servant, being unfaithful and not fervent in spirit. The consequence is being cursed, living in the darkness and weeping.
Being negligent in the sword of the Word means being negligent in sanctification or not being sanctified by the sword of the Word. The consequence is not being righteous and holy in his life but living in sins up to the peak of sins.
The right attitude is always being ready in ministry and purification. It means ministering with holiness, being faithful and righteous, and fervent in spirit. We must remind each other. Moses is negligent to circumcise his son, but he is reminded by his wife. A wife must remind her husband, else she will plunge him.
- Robbing God, namely robbing the tithes and special offerings.
Malachi 3:8-9
3:8 “Will a man rob God?
Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’
In tithes and offerings.
3:9 You are cursed with a curse,
For you have robbed Me,
Eventhis whole nation.
Genesis 28:20-22
28:20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,
28:21 so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God.
28:22 And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God’s house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.”
Tithe is the confession that we are blessed by God, we lived from God, and we are saved by God. Tithe is not about the money, but the confession.
Tithe is the confession that our whole life and our possessions belong to God.
If there is true tithe, there will be food in the house of God, namely there is revelation of the true teaching Word.
Blessing or curse, death or life, depends on whether we can eat the true teaching Word or not. It depends on whether we can worship God or not.
Galatians 3:13-14
3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed iseveryone who hangs on a tree”),
3:14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
How can we go out of the curse?
Jesus is willing to die in curse on the cross to set us free from the curse of sins, even more to pour the blessing of Abraham to the Gentiles, that is the Holy Spirit that can be received now.
Acts 10:44-45
10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word.
10:45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
If the Gentiles can receive the Holy Spirit, it is the grace and mercy of God in our life.
The usefulness of Holy Spirit is as follows.
- Holy Spirit makes us faithful, righteous, and fervent in spirit in ministry to God.
Romans 12:11
12:11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
We will be called as the apple of God’s eye. We will be cared and protected directly by God.
Matthew 25:21
25:21 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’
We will experience the heavenly joy that cannot be affected by any conditions in this world. We will be used in the revival of building the perfect body of Christ.
- Holy Spirit makes us obedient.
Romans 8:15
8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
Deuteronomy 28:1,8
28:1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God,to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
28:8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
The result is God will command the blessing that cannot be hindered by anything. He will bless us anywhere, anytime, in any situations, up to our descendants. Joseph is inside the dungeon, but God blesses him. Therefore, we must diligently listen to the Word and obey it.
- Holy Spirit helps us to be able to groan to God, to worship Him as the woman who cries out in labor and in pain to give birth while facing the dragon.
Romans 8:26-28
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is,because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will ofGod.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to Hispurpose.
We groan so that we experience spiritual miracle, that is renewal of life from flesh man to become spiritual man as Jesus. At least we are renewed to be patient in waiting God’s time. We believe and fully entrust our life to God. This is the new man. If spiritual miracle happens, physical miracle will also happen.
Zechariah 4:6-7
4:6 So he answered and said to me:“This isthe word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’
Says the Lord of hosts.
4:7 ‘Who areyou, O great mountain?
Before Zerubbabel you shall becomea plain!
And he shall bring forth the capstone
With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’”
God will make great mountain become a plain. All impossible problems will be solved. If the great mountain has become a plain, He prepares beautiful, successful, and joyful future. The most joyful one is when He comes a second time and we will be lifted on the glorious clouds together with Him.
God blesses us.
