Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:1-3 is the title or preface.
Revelation 1:31:3 Blessed ishe who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time isnear. The book of Revelation is the book of prophecy or the prophecy Word, meaning the Word whose secret is revealed through a verse explains the other verses in the Bible. It is the Word that reveals the sins in the congregation. It also reveals the things that will happen in the future especially about Jesus’ second coming on the glorious clouds.
The content of the book of Revelation is joy. There are seven kinds of joy in the book of Revelation as follows.
- Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it.
- Revelation 14:13 Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.
- Revelation 16:15 Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments.
- Revelation 19:9 Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
- Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.
- Revelation 22:7 Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.
- Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robe.
The number seven refers to perfection. Thus, these seven joys refer to the Heavenly joy that is eternal forever. The Heavenly joy cannot be affected by anything in this world.
Revelation 1:3 is the gate to get the Heavenly joy, that is reading, hearing, and obeying the prophecy Word.
The process is as follows.
- Reading and hearing the prophecy Word solemnly in the anointing of Holy Spirit and as a need.
The result is we can understand the true teaching Word. It equals to the Word is written on our forehead. Afterwards, we can believe and have faith to the true teaching Word. It equals to the Word is written in our heart or the Word becomes faith in our heart.
Hebrews 10:16-17
10:16 “This isthe covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”
10:17 then He adds,“Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
If the true teaching Word is written in our forehead and heart, our lip will be able to confess our sins to God (vertical) and the others (horizontal). We will experience forgiveness by the blood of Jesus, or we are justified by His blood. At that moment, we will experience the Heavenly joy.
Psalm 32:1-4
32:1 Blessed is he whosetransgression isforgiven,
Whosesin iscovered.
32:2 Blessed isthe man to whom the Lord does not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there isno deceit.
32:3 When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long.
32:4 For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
On the contrary, if one does not want to confess his sins, it is the same as deceiving himself and being dry spiritually. The consequence is being fragile and not enduring. If one does not confess his sins but blames the others, he will be destroyed and cannot be helped anymore.
- Obeying or practicing the true teaching Word. It equals to the Word is written in our hand.
Deuteronomy 6:6-8
6:6 “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
6:7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
6:8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
If the teaching Word is repeated, the aim is to give us chance to understand the Word, believe and have faith on it, until practice it. Thus, the true teaching Word will be written in our forehead, heart, hand, and lip. Our lip will be used only to talk about the true teaching Word. When our whole life is written with the true teaching Word, we will experience the Heavenly joy.
Revelation 13:16-18
13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
13:17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.1
3:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is666.
If our whole life is written with the Word, antichrist will not be able to mark our forehead and right hand with the number 666. Thus, we will not enter the days of antichrist but we will be given the two wings of a great eagle to be evacuated to the wilderness far from the eyes of the serpent. We will be cared directly by God and we will live joyfully with Him.
The perfect example in obedience is Jesus. There are three points of His obedience as follows.
- In water baptism at the Jordan.
Matthew 3:13-15
3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
3:14 And John tried toprevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
3:15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be sonow, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.
Jesus is a man who does not know sin but why must He be baptized?
- To fulfill all the will of the Father. It equals to being obedient.
In order to be obedient, Jesus must sacrifice self-esteem.
- To give the example of true water baptism, that is according to the Word and as Jesus is baptized.
Matthew 3:16
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
Romans 6:4
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Coming up from the water means coming up from the grave of water. Thus, the true water baptism is one who has died to sin is buried in water together with Jesus to raise with Him in new life, namely heavenly life or the life in righteousness. Heavenly life has new conscience, that is an obedient conscience.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while theark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
- In worship prayer at Gethsemane.
Mark 14:36-38
14:36 And He said, “Abba, Father, all things arepossible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will.”
14:37 Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour?
14:38 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed iswilling, but the flesh isweak.”
Worship prayer is the process to crucify the flesh with all its desire, lust, and will, so we can obey God.
In order to be obedient, Jesus must sacrifice His will.
If we sacrifice the weak flesh, we will receive obedient spirit and we will be joyful.
Ephesians 2:2
2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
But if one preserves the will of the flesh, he will receive disobedient spirit so he will rebel against God, pastor, and his parents. His life will be in suffering forever.
- On the cross.
Philippians 2:8-11
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point ofdeath, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
2:11 and thatevery tongue should confess that Jesus Christ isLord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus is obedient until He dies on the cross and sacrifices His soul.
We must also be obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore. It equals to stretching out our hands to God and He will also stretch out His hands to us. He will be responsible to bear all the risks. The position of an obedient life is within the hands of God.
The results are as follows.
- Victory power over Satan the trinity.
Philippians 2:9-10
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
Satan is the source of sins up to the peak of sins. Victory over Satan means we can live in righteousness and holiness. Satan is the source of problems. Victory over Satan means all problems are solved even the impossible ones. Satan is also the source of tears. Victory over Satan means all tears are erased and we are joyful.
- Lifting power.
Philippians 2:9
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
We will win over the influence of the world. We will be lifted up from failures to become successful in His time.
Being lifted up also means we will be used by God in the revival of building the perfect body of Christ. We will become a living stone, meaning we live from the mercy of God wherever, whenever, in any situation, up to eternal life forever.
- Renewal power.
Philippians 2:11
2:11 and thatevery tongue should confess that Jesus Christ isLord, to the glory of God the Father.
It is renewal from flesh man to become spiritual man as Jesus, started from renewal of the tongue. It can confess the name of Jesus, meaning we can confess the sin. If we are forgiven, we must not repeat it. As long as we cannot confess our sins, we will not be renewed.
Through worship prayer, we can cry out the name of Jesus and “Alleluia”. We will be renewed little by little until we are as glorious as Him on His second coming.
Revelation 19:6-7,9
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
19:9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed arethose who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.”
God blesses us.
