Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:15-1621:15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.
21:16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. There are three things which are measured by the gold reed as follows:
- The New Jerusalem city.
- The wall.
- The gates.
ad.1. Measuring the New Jerusalem city:
- [verse 16] The New Jerusalem city is laid out as a square.
- Its length, breadth, and height are equal, namely twelve thousand furlongs.
- [verse18b] The New Jerusalem city is made of pure gold like transparent glass.
ad.2
Measuring the wall.
Revelation 21:17 21:17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.The measure of a man means physically. The measure of an angel means spiritually.
144 = 12x12.
The number 12 refers to fellowship.
12x12 = the close fellowship. It starts from the marriage, shepherding, church organization, and so on that is based on the true teaching Word to go towards the organism or the fellowship of the perfect body of Christ.
The number 144 is related to the slavery of Egypt to Israel for four hundred years.
Genesis 15:13 15:13 Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. 400 years x 360 days = 144.000 days.
144 = the number of sufferings, 1000 = the Most Holy Place.
We must experience the suffering in the flesh for reaching the perfection.
There are three kinds of sufferings which the church must experience for reaching the measure of perfection as follows:
- Suffering in the flesh for stopping sinning and returning to God or repenting.
1 Peter4:1-2
4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
4:2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
It also refers to the suffering in the flesh for doing the will of God.
Matthew3:13-15
3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
3:14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?"
3:15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.
One of the wills of God is being baptized in the true water baptism, namely according to the Bible and the baptism of Jesus.
Matthew3:16
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were openedto Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
Romans6:4
6:4 Therefore we were buriedwith Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raisedfrom the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
One who has believed Jesus and repented or died to sin must be buried in the water baptism and raised with Jesus. As a result, the heavens are opened and we get the new life, namely the heavenly one or the life in righteousness.
Proverbs12:26
12:26 The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Afterwrds, we must be shepherded well and correctly.
John10:1,9
10:1 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
10:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Passing through the narrow door means the suffering in the flesh for entering the sheepfold or having the perseverance in committing the three main services to God as follows:
- The Golden Candlestic or the perseverance in committing the General Service to have the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts. The sheep is drinking.
- The Table of Showbread or the perseverance in committing the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion. The sheep is eating.
- The Golden Altar of Incense or the perseverance in committing the Prayer Service. The sheep is breathing.
The results are as follows:
- The body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God, so the trinity of Satan cannot touch. We cannot fall in sins up to the peak. We are not deceived by the false teachings. We are firm in the righteousness and salvation.
- "I shall not want" = we are preserved by God abundantly. We can give thanks and become blessings.
- Sufferings in the flesh for the service and ministry to God.
2 Corinthians6:3-10
6:3 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.
6:4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses,
6:5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;
6:6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,
6:7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
6:8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;
6:9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed;
6:10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Thre are three things which we must pay attention to as follows:
- [verse 3] Do not become the stumbling-block, but the example!
Revelation18:21
18:21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.
Being the stumbling-block, the neck is tied with the millstone to be drowned together with Babylon.
- Do not lose heart!
2 Corinthians4:1
4:1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.
We do not get disappointed or hopeless and leave God in facing all things.
Leaving the service and ministry to God, the life will not be beautiful, but destroyed forever.
- Do not be negligent!
Acts20:19-20,24,27
20:19 "serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews;
20:20 "how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,
20:24 "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
20:27 "For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
We keep faithful and fervent in spirit in the service and ministry until the end line.
Matthew25:21
25:21 "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
As a result, we get the joy of heaven.
Matthew25:26,30
25:26 "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
25:30 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
Being negligent, unfaithful, and lazy, one will be wicked. It means serving only to get physical things such as money, marriage partner, position, and so on as well as striking the others servants of God.
Revelation17:14
17:14 "These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."
We keep faithful and fervent in spirit until we can be victorious over sin. We can live in righteousness and holiness. We can defeat the impossible problems. God is faithful and able to help us.
- Sufferings in the flesh without any sin or together with Jesus. It is the same as the test of the sprinkling of blood.
1 Peter4:12-14
4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of gloryand of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
As a result, we get the Spirit of Glory. Holy Spirit is able to glorify or change us from the fleshly man to the spritual one like Jesus is, namely being strong and of good courage. We become like the newborn baby.
1 Peter2:2
2:2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
The desire is only one, namely the pure milk of the Word or the shepherding Word. It means hearing and obeying it. We do not give any opportunity to hear gossip and false teachings.
Matthew21:16
21:16 and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"
The mouth only praises and worships God or cries and hopes the stretching of His merciful hands.
Exodus2:6
2:6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."
For example, the baby Moses cried until getting the compassion.
The hands of God are able to protect and preserve us in the midst of the impossibilities in the world, to give the beautiful and successful future life, and to solve all impossible problems. He uses our life to be the vessel of glory for being used in the edification of the body of Christ.
The vessel of Moses has already corrupted when he was disobedient to the command of God. God had commanded him to speak to the rock, but he struck it. Nevertheless, God is still able to restore us until we become perfect.
God blesses you.
