Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:20b
28:20 .... and lo, I am with you always, evento the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:16-20 is divided into two parts as follows.

  1. Great spiritual revival that consists of the revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain and the latter one.
  2. The accompaniment of God.

The accompaniment of God is our main need that cannot be replaced by anything else. Everything in this world is useless without the accompaniment of God. Even the kingdom of Heaven is useless without the accompaniment of God.

God will accompany us to the end of the age, meaning the accompaniment of God is started from now to His second coming on glorious clouds, until we sit with Him on the throne of Heaven forever.

Revelation 3:21
3:21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

John 14:16-17
14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
14:
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

One of the forms of the accompaniment of God is Holy Spirit poured by Him to abide with us forever.
Holy Spirit sets us free from the enticement of this world so we will not be destroyed together with it.

There are three levels of the enticement of the world as follows.

  1. Friendship with the world.
    James 4:4
4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Friendship with the world makes us unfaithful even hostile to God. It means we lose our true faithfulness to God, as Eve deceived by the serpent.

    2 Corinthians 11:3-4
11:3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
    11:
4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or ifyou receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

Losing the true faithfulness to God means being unfaithful to the true teaching Word. It happens because one well puts up, meaning being not firm in hearing false teaching.
Faithfulness to the true teaching Word determines faithfulness in the other things. If one is unfaithful to the true teaching Word, he will be unfaithful to the true ministry and marriage. At the end, he will be unfaithful in all matters.

    Matthew 25:26,30
25:26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
25:30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

If one is unfaithful or wicked, he will also be lazy. The consequence is being cast into the outer darkness and entering the curse and perdition forever.

    John 14:26
14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Holy Spirit will teach us the true teaching Word until we believe and have faith to it. We remember and become faithful to the true teaching Word.

    Romans 12:11
    12:11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

Holy Spirit helps us to become faithful and fervent in spirit in the true ministry to God.

    Revelation 1:14
    1:14 His head and hair werewhite like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;

If we are faithful and fervent in spirit to the true teaching Word and true ministry, we will become the apple of God’s eyes. We are cared and protected by God in the middle of this world which is as dry wilderness. Even a grain of sand is not let to enter His eyes.

  2. Loving the world.
    1 John 2:15-16
2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
    2:
16 For all that isin the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

If one loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. It means he does not need God, but being proud, arrogant, and disobedient.
    The consequences are as follows.

    • Falling in the lust of the eyes, as Eve who sees the forbidden fruit.
The lust of the eyes is sin concerning eating-drinking, that is smoking, getting drunk, consuming drugs.

    • Falling in the lust of the flesh, as Eve who wants to become the same as God.
The lust of the flesh is sin concerning marrying and being given in marriage, that is sexuality sin with all its variety, sexual deviation (homosexuality, lesbianism, sexuality to oneself), mixed marriage, marriage after divorce.

    • Defending false things, justifying unclean things.

At the end, this kind of life will enter the building of Babylon that is the bride of Satan who is perfect in evilness and uncleanness.

    Romans 8:15
8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”

Holy Spirit makes us obedient so we can cry out “Abba, Father”. Jesus is obedient until He dies on the cross although He is sinless. It is because He is filled with Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit makes us obedient whatever the risk is, so we can love God more than everything.

    1 Peter 1:22
1:22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,

If we can be obedient, the result is we will be sanctified so we can love one another sincerely and dwell together in unity. If ones dwell together in unity but without the Word or even rejecting the Word, they are just like Ananias and Sapphira who are destroyed at the end.

    Psalm 133:1
133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!

Holy Spirit is able to make everything good and beautiful in His time. We enter the unity of perfect body of Christ.

  3. Conforming to the world.
    Romans 12:2
12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what isthat good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

It means not experiencing life renewal from flesh man to spiritual one as Jesus. Although one always goes to the church but he keeps hardening his heart and does not want to be renewed.
Keeping hardening the heart means not being willing and able to differ what is right or wrong (in the matter of the Word, ministry, marriage, and all cases). He will justify the wrong and blame the right. It is called as a self-truth or dishonesty.

The consequences of having self-truth are as follows.

    • Choosing the wrong one, even choosing the wrong god as many people who choose Jesus Barabbas.
    • All things become wrong. It means he will not be perfect but left when Jesus comes a second time.

    Titus 3:5
3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Holy Spirit is able to renew our life so we can be honest and sincere as a dove. We let ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and ‘no’ be ‘no’. The right one is right and the wrong one is wrong. Being honest and sincere also means confessing honestly to God. If spiritual miracle happens, the physical one will also happen. The criminal crucified beside Jesus can be moved to the Paradise when he confesses his sin. Whatever our condition this morning is, if we confess our sin, the curse condition will be changed to the ambience of Paradise. The ambience of Paradise is the ambience in truth, holiness, and happiness. One day, we will be lifted up to the Paradise when Jesus comes a second time. We will enter the New Jerusalem and sit with Him forever.

God blesses us.
