Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 11:7-811:7. When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pitwill make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
11:8. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.
The title of the passage is The Witnesses Killed.
We have learned who kills the two witnesses, namely the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit. It refers to the evil spirit that becomes flesh or man. It is the same as the Antichrist and false prophet.
Where are the two witnesses killed? They are killed at Sodom and Egypt, where Jesus also was crucified.
In the past time, Jesus as a man was crucified by men who rejected Him.
In the last days, it is in the spiritual meaning.
Hebrews 6:4-66:4. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,
6:5. and have tasted the good word of Godand the powers of the age to come,
6:6. if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.
'
tasted the good word of God'= including tasting the teaching word.
Sodom and Egypt are the place to crucify Jesus.
The church or the servants of God who have received the true teaching word and the anointing of Holy Spirit, and used by God but fall away are crucifying Jesus again for themselves.
So, Sodom-Gomorrah and Egypt refer to the servant of God who falls away, so he becomes the same as the Antichrist who kills the two witnesses.
The facts of the servant of God who falls away are as follows:
- Becoming like Sodom.
Isaiah 1:10
1:10. Hear the word of the LORD, You rulers of Sodom; Give ear to the law of our God, You people of Gomorrah
Sodom refers to people in the world who do not give ear to the true teaching word, but reject it.
Be careful! Sodom also refers to the church of God who falls away and rejects the sword of the purification word. It is the same as not having the word.
The consequences are as follows:
- His ministry and worship are without the true teaching word, so he is rejected by God, because of making Jesus loathe.
Isaiah 1:11-15
1:11. "To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?" Says the LORD. "I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fed cattle. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, Or of lambs or goats.
1:12. "When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this from your hand, To trample My courts?
1:13. Bring no more futile sacrifices; Incense is an abomination to Me. The New Moons, the Sabbaths, and the calling of assemblies--I cannot endure iniquity and the sacred meeting.
1:14. Your New Moons and your appointed feasts My soul hates; They are a trouble to Me, I am weary of bearing them.
1:15. When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.
- He just does wickedness sin that starts from stealing the possession of God, and uncleanness sin up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage (fornication between man and woman who are not husband and wife, false marriage, mixed-marriage, divorce-remarrying, and marrying-giving in marriage).
Isaiah 1:16-18
1:16. "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil,
1:17. Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.
1:18. "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
Do not play with sin! God will loathe our service.
If a young man does mixed-marriage, his parents will be sorrowful, how much more God.
If we make God and others sorrowful, our life will be sorrowful up to perdition.
The sin of fornication is also in the form of word and mind.
If there is no teaching in the service, how can we become white? The peak of sin is like scarlet and crimson, but it can be white if we are purified.
The consequence of the wrong service and just doing sins is the punishment by the sword of punishment.
The sword of the word that is rejected will become the one of punishment to destroy forever.
Isaiah 1:20
1:20. But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
That is why we must enter into the right service, not Sodom.
The right service is that we receive and prioritize the true teaching word until we obey it, so we experience the purification, and our deed becomes true, holy, and good. Moreover, we can return good for evil. All things will become good. The thing that has been destroyed can be good.
- Becoming like Egypt.
Exodus 3:18-19
3:18. "Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, 'The LORD God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.'
3:19. "But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.
'we may sacrifice to the LORD our God' = ministering.
Egypt refers to the people in the world who are against the journey of the Israelites into to the wilderness to sacrifice to God.
Three days' journey refers to the cross of Christ (Jesus dies and He is risen on the third day).
So, Egypt refers to the people in the world who reject the cross.
Now, Egypt refers to the church of servant of God who falls away, so he rejects the cross or has no cross.
The consequences are as follows:
- His ministry is without the cross or he becomes the enemies of the cross.
It means as follows:
- Only seeing the physical things, namely prosperity and entertainment.
His ministry uses worldly ways, so he does not experience the renewal of life but keeps the sinful flesh man until he becomes the same as the Antichrist. He is marked with 666 or his body, spirit, and soul are marked by the Antichrist, so he appears like the beast.
The beast just follows his own lust and instinct, so he is always against the will of God.
In the days of Noah, men just followed their flesh about mate.
The beast also pounces at others. Do not pounce at others by fighting, hurting, harming, and sacrificing others and God for your own benefit and interest.
It is the same as the service without sacrifice, so it will aim at the Antichrist.
Be careful! Do not pounce between husband and wife, children and parents, brother and sister, in relationship, and engagement, but love and pray for one another!
- Choosing to be buried in Egypt rather than entering into Canaan with God.
Exodus 14:10-11
14:10. And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the LORD.
14:11. Then they said to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?
All things must be started with the cross. Do not leave it!
If we start with the thing that is comfortable for flesh, we will choose the graves in Egypt rather than entering into Canaan. It is the same as rejecting the freedom from God.
The consequence is spiritual death. If he dies, he will not be risen when Jesus comes a second time. If he lives until God comes a second time, he will be left in the world.
Revelation 11:9
11:9. Then those from the peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations will see their dead bodies three-and-a-half days, and not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves.
'not allow their dead bodies to be put into graves' means that one does not want to buried in Sodom and Egypt or he does not want to become one with them.
This is the determination of the two witnesses, namely they choose God. Now, we choose the right thing in working, choosing mate, et ceteraalthough it is painful for the flesh.
- His system of life is the one of Egypt, namely without the cross.
Deuteronomy 11:10
11:10. "For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden;
The system of Egypt is the one of hard labor.
It means as follows:
- Making a living by relying on power, intelligence, and own experience, even relying on others, so he does not rely on God anymore, but forgets Him.
- Making a living until one becomes unfaithful as well as leaving the ministry.
- Making a living by legalizing all ways. It is the same as fighting against God or the true teaching word.
The consequence of living without the cross is that one experiences the outstretched arm of God ('by a mighty hand').
Exodus 3:19
3:19. "But I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand.
He experiences three times seven punishments, doomsday, up to perdition forever.
This is the place where the two witnesses are killed. Be careful! Do not become like Sodom and Egypt but receive the sword of purification and the cross!
Deuteronomy 11:11
11:11. "but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven,
That is why we must live and minister in the system of Canaan or heaven, namely hills and valleys.
It means as follows:
- The valleys refer to death experience.
- The hills refer to resurrection experience.
So, the hills and valleys refer to system of the cross.
The death sign is that we suffer in the flesh to repent or die to sins and old life.
The resurrection sign is the new life. The renewal of life from fleshly men to heavenly ones like Jesus is the biggest miracle.
The fact of the renewal of life to become the heavenly men is that we become obedient and faithful until our flesh does not speak anymore.
Deuteronomy 11:13
11:13. ' And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
Obedience and faithfulness are the same as stretching out our hands to God. We just see Him, not the others. We just totally depend and hope to the rain of great mercy from heaven.
If we are not faithful and obedient, it looks like great but we will be destroyed.
Although a husband is unfaithful and disobedient, the wife must keep faithful and obedient. In the marriage, starting from in relationship, we must keep the faithfulness and obedience.
Do not return unfaithfulness and disobedience for unfaithfulness and disobedience! Returning unfaithfulness and disobedience means that we feel strong or we do not rely on God's mercy, so all things will be destroyed.
If we are not faithful and obedient, the sky will become like bronze. It means that all things will become dry and be destroyed.
If we are faithful and obedient, God's eyes will always be on us from the throne of heaven.
Deuteronomy 11:12
11:12. "a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
He remembers, cares, understands, and struggles for us or stretches out the hand of His great mercy for us to do the things as follows:
- Protecting and taking care of us who are powerless spiritually with new wine, grain, and oil from heaven.
Deuteronomy 11:14
11:14. 'then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
Psalm 104:15
104:15. And winethat makes glad the heart of man, Oilto make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man's heart.
We are taken care of miraculously and abundantly.
The grain refers to the true teaching word. In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Table of Showbread, namely the perseverance in committing the Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
We become strong and of good courage. We do not leave God forever. We do not sin but live in righteousness and holiness.
The oil refers to the anointing of Holy Spirit. In the Tabernacle it refers to the Golden Candlestick, namely the perseverance in committing the General Service that makes our faces beam.
It means that we minister to God delightfully. We experience peace, so all things become easy and light.
Do not have scowl like Cain who does not minister to God earnestly.
The wine refers to the love of God. In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Golden Altar of Incense, namely the perseverance in committing the Prayer Service.
We feel the atmosphere of party in the marriage or heavenly bliss.
- God's merciful hands are able to protect and take care of us with the physical grain, wine, and oil. We are taken care of miraculously and abundantly, so we always give thanks and become the blessing for others.
God's attention is in the sheepfold. He gives the guarantee of certainty for physical and spiritual life up to eternal life. Do not doubt to enter into the shepherding!
Deuteronomy 11:15
11:15. 'And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.'
In the sheepfold, the animal is also taken care of. In the past time, the animal was used for the ministry.
Now, God blesses us with time, power, health, and finance to minister to Him in the shepherding.
God also gives the heart which willingly sacrifices for God's work physically and spiritually (the building of the body of Christ) until we experience heavenly satisfaction. We do not look for satisfaction anywhere else. We just give thanks to God. We are in His caress.
If we do not want to use God's blessing for ministering to Him, our life will become difficult up to perdition.
- God has mercy to sheep that is tired, weary, and scattered, so we live in relief.
Matthew 9:35-36
9:35. Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
9:36. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
- The mercy of God visits us.
Luke 7:13-17
7:13. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep."
7:14. Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."
7:15. So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.
7:16. Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, "God has visited His people."
7:17. And this report about Him went throughout all Judea and all the surrounding region.
Nain refers to the shepherding.
If we leave the shepherding, we will die.
If we die in sin or die spiritually, we must return to God.
If we die physically or the impossibility in economy, future, and marriage, we must return to God.
God stretches out His merciful hands to finish all things in His time. He wipes away every teardrop of our eyes.
For those who cannot do anything anymore, there is still God's mercy.
After being visited by God, we must testify like the two witnesses.
Now, the rain comes from top to bottom, but when Jesus comes a second time, His mercy will change us up to perfection like Him. We are lifted up on the glorious clouds with Him forever.
God blesses us.
