Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16 tells us about the pouring of the seven bowls of the last wrath of God. It is preached so that we do not enter the wrath of God but flee from the last plagues of God.
Revelation 16:4-7
16:4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.
16:5 And I heard the angel of the waterssaying: "You are righteous, O Lord, The One who is and who was and who is to be, Because You have judged these things.
16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, And You have given them blood to drink. For it is their just due."
16:7 And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."
The third bowl of the wrath of God is poured on the rivers and springs of water until becoming blood. It means the suffering, spiritual death, up to the second death.
There are two angels who are used to punish as follows:
- [verse 5] The angel having power over the waters.
- [verse 7] The angel having power over fire coming out from the altar.
Revelation 14:18
14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, who had power over fire, and he cried with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, "Thrust in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe."
ad.1.
The angel having power over the waters.
There are two judgments related to the waters as follows:
- The judgment of the floods in the days of Noah.
Genesis 6:7
6:7 So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."
Genesis 7:17-23
7:17 Now the flood was on the earth forty days. The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth.
7:18 The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters.
7:19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered.
7:20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.
7:21 And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.
7:22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.
7:23 So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.
Why did the judgment of the floods happen?
Genesis 6:5-6,1-2
6:5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6:6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.
6:1 Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
6:2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
It happened because of the conscience that tended to be evil and the fleshly sight that only fulfilled the fleshly lusts until there were sinful deeds up to the peak, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking such as smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse as well as marrying-being given in marriage which made the heart of God grieved and they were punished by Him.
Luke 17:26-27
17:26 "And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
17:27 "They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
There will be the crisis of morality again like on the days of Noah until the judgment of God is drawn.
1 Peter 3:18-22
3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
3:19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
3:22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
It happens because of the spirit of disobedience until not being willing to enter the ark of Noah, but mocking.
Now, it refers to the disobedience in the water baptism, namely not being willing to enter the true water baptism.
Matthew 3:7
3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
It can also happen through entering the water baptism, but keeping the heart which tends to be evil and does not want to confess sins, repent, die to sin nor obey God.
Consequently, one cannot flee from the wrath of God, but suffer and perish.
Matthew 3:13-14
3:13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
3:14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?"
John the prophet almost did not obey the will of God because of fulfilling the fleshly though or logic which was not according to the Bible. Such thing causes one to be in the wrath of God.
Matthew 3:15-17
3:15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
3:17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Nevertheless, John the Baptist could be helped by the example of Jesus' obeying the will of God, so he could live in the grace of God like Noah.
Genesis 6:8
6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
As a result, we can see the opened heaven or the door of heaven is opened.
Genesis 6:9
6:9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
The facts found in it are living in righteousness, being perfect or living in sincerity, and walking with God or being obedient and faithful in the service and ministry to God.
The results are as follows:
- Being able to flee from the wrath of God to come. It means the salvation to the marriage and children or the salvation of the bride.
- Protection and preservation of God in the midst of the difficulties in the world up to the time when the Antichrist reigns over the world.
- Satisfaction and joy of heaven.
- The judgment over men who blaspheme Holy Spirit or the living water from heaven.
Matthew 12:31-32
12:31 "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
12:32 "Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
Blaspheming Holy Spirit is the same as the sin which cannot be forgiven because there will be no more chance after the age of Holy Spirit.
There are two works of Holy Spirit as follows:
- The work of salvation or the revival of Holy Spirit at the first rain.
Matthew 1:20-21
1:20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
1:21 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."
Jesus refers to Holy Spirit who is born as a man and must die on the cross for saving the sinners.
The process is through having faith or believing Jesus, repenting, and being born by water and Spirit. We live in righteousness. We are saved and blessed by God.
Blaspheming Holy Spirit is the same as resisting against the work of salvation, namely not believing Jesus, not repenting or not being willing to confess sin, but keeping it, and not living in righteousness, but keeping the lies. The consequence is that the water turns into blood or suffering, spiritual death, and perdition.
- The work of perfection or the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
Ephesians 4:7,11-12
4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Holy Spirit gives the gifts of Holy Spirit, namely the miraculous ability from Holy Spirit that is more than anything in the world (intelligence, riches, and so on), so we can serve to God according to the ministry which He has entrusted to us. We are used in the edification of the perfect body of Christ or the heavenly bride that is ready for welcoming Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds. It begins from the ministry in the marriage.
The ministry and gifts are the same as the beautiful robe or talent.
Blaspheming Holy Spirit is the same as keeping the talent in the ground.
Matthew 25:24-26,30
25:24 "Then he who had received the one talent came and said, 'Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. |
25:25 'And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.'
25:26 "But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
25:30 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
It is the same as the wicked and lazy servants of God.
Laziness is the same as unfaithfulness or not being fervent in spirit in the service and ministry to God.
Wickedness is the same as the love of money until one does not love God.
The facts found in it are as follows:
- Stinginess or one cannot give to the work of God and others who are in need.
- Greediness or stealing the tithes and offerings which belong to God.
- Beating or blaspheming the righteous servants of God.
It is the same as the unprofitable servants who destroy the body of Christ. The consequence is being cast into the outer darkness, living without any control, suffering, having no beautiful life, and perishing.
Thus, every sinful man absolutely needs Holy Spirit to be able to be saved and perfected.
Revelation 22:1-4
22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.
22:2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
22:4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
Therefore Holy Spirit or the pure river of water of life is poured from heaven to the earth for helping the sinners to be able to return to the throne of heaven.
The functions of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Holy Spirit performs the spiritual miracle, namely the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus us. Being as clear as crystal refers to honesty and believing God.
- Holy Spirit is able to give the physical life, protect, and preserve in the midst of the difficulties in the world.
- Holy Spirit deletes the atmosphere of curses such as weariness, heavy burden, and toil to be peace. All things become easy and light.
- Holy Spirit performs the physical miracle, namely the sick are healed and all impossible problems are solved.
- Holy Spirit makes us faithful and fervent in spirit in committing the service and ministry to God until we are changed to be perfect to welcome Jesus' second coming, we get the new name, namely the name of Jesus is written on our forehead.
God blesses you.
