Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16:1-21 refers to the seven plagues or last judgments, namely the seven judgments of the bowl from Father God to all men who reject His love.
Revelation 16:1-2 16:1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God on the earth."
16:2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.Verse 1 refers to the commandment for pouring out the last seven judgments over the world.
Verse 2 refers to pouring out the first bowl or plague to the fleshly men who had the mark of the beast as follows:
- The sign of disobedience.
Ephesians 2:1-2
2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
It means resisting against God or committing sins up to the peak.
- The sign of blasphemy.
Revelation 13:5-6
13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemyagainst God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
It means blaspheming God's tabernacle or Tabernacle Teaching and His name that should have been worshiped, so one cannot worship Him, but the Antichrist.
- The sign of deception.
Revelation 13:13-15
13:13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
13:14 And he deceivesthose who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
13:15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
It means resisting against the true teaching Word and following the false teachings because of chasing the miraculous signs physically without the life renewal.
2 Timothy 3:5-9
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
3:6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,
3:7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;
3:9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
For example, Jannes and Jambres resisted against the rod of Moses or the cross. It means looking for the comfortable things for the flesh and resisting against the shepherding Word until departing from the faith.
Deuteronomy 25:17-1925:17 " Remember what Amalek did to you on the way as you were coming out of Egypt,
25:18 "how he met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God.
25:19 "Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget. The flesh with the sign of disobedience, blasphemy, and deception is the same as Amalek, namely the fleshly men who do not give honor to nor fear God. They must be judged until perishing.
On the contrary, God pays attention to our deepest feelings whether there are still the fear and honor to God or not.
Luke 8:18 8:18 "Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."It starts from the time of the true Word's being preached. If we have the fear of the Lord, we will only hear the true teaching Word which is according to the Bible and firmly reject the false teachings. We can seriously hear the Word with a need until we understand and the Word becomes faith in our heart and the faith increases up to the perfect one. The spirituality grows from the salvation to the perfection.
Not having the fear of the Lord, one will reject the true teaching and receive the false one, so the faith decreases and the spirituality does not grow. Moreover, he becomes the obstacle for the growing of others' spirituality. The flesh without the faith becomes the target of the spirit of disobedience. It is the same as the weak flesh which is controlled by the beast and becomes its possession until losing the faith and salvation as well as perishing forever.
Mark 14:38 14:38 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."The worship prayer is the process for tearing the flesh. When the flesh is weak (being sleepy, disappointed and hopeless), Holy Spirit will make us victorious when we force it to worship God.
Exodus 17:8,1117:8 Now Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
17:11 And so it was, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. For example, Moses lifted up his hands or worshiped God and the Israelites could defeat Amalek.
Romans 8:33-348:33 Who shall bring a charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies.
8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.When the flesh is weak or powerless, Jesus as the High Priest becomes the Pleader who prays the intercession prayer for us. He becomes 'Christos' or the Helper in heaven who always prays for us.
John 16:7-1116:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
16:8 "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
16:9 "of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
16:10 "of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
16:11 "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.Jesus has been dead, raised, and ascended to heaven for pouring Holy Spirit, namely 'Parakletos' or the Helper on earth who works for the following things:
- Revealing the sinsthrough the power of the true teaching Word, so we can realize our sins, regret, and confess them. After being forgiven, we must not repeat the sins.
- Bringing us to the righteousness.
Not confessing sins, but blaming at others or God, one will enter His
judgment.
If we are on God's side, we will get His double power as follows:
- Jesus as 'Christos' or the Helper in heaven who prays the intercession prayer for us, so we do not fall or we are lifted up when we fall.
- In the world, Holy Spirit helps the weak flesh for being able to pray to God with a broken heart.
Romans 8:26-30
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for uswith groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
8:30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
As a result, all things become good and perfect like Jesus. We are set free from the judgment of the first bowl, namely the sore in the flesh.
There are two kinds of flesh as follows:
- Amalekwho dwelt outside Canaan refers to the flesh which hinders us to enter Canaan, the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain, or the edification of the perfect body of Christ.
- Gibeonwho dwelt in Canaan.
Joshua 9:3-5
9:3 But when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done to Jericho and Ai,
9:4 they worked craftily, and went and pretended to be ambassadors. And they took old sacks on their donkeys, old wineskinstorn and mended,
9:5 old and patched sandalson their feet, and old garmentson themselves; and all the bread of their provision was dry and moldy.
Gibeon used the cunning like the serpent in garden Eden. It means being clever, but not sincere.
Genesis 3:1
3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said,'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"
Exodus 1:10
1:10 "come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land."
The cunning flesh happens through adding and taking away the true teaching Word to become the false teachings that hinder the physical growth or quantity and the spiritual one or quality until keeping the flesh in the old life as follows:
- The old wineskin. It refers to the old heart which is controlled by the flesh and full of evil and unclean lusts as well as bitterness.
- The old sandals.
Ephesians 6:15
6:15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
It means not having the willing heart for serving and ministering to God. One serves to God of necessity. It also means being forced or forcing others. It begins from inside the marriage.
- The dry bread. It refers to enjoying the dry spiritual food which is without the anointing. There is no revelation, but the mixing with knowledge, joke, and so on.
- The old garment. It refers to the old life that commits sins up to the peak.
Joshua 9:14
9:14 Then the men of Israel took some of their provisions; but they did not ask counsel of the LORD.
The cunning of the flesh disturbs the revival of the edification of the body of Christ, so it is not in line with God's will or it is only because of the physical provision or things.
Joshua 9:19,27
9:19 Then all the rulers said to all the congregation, "We have sworn to them by the LORD God of Israel; now therefore, we may not touch them.
9:27 And that day Joshua made them woodcuttersand water carriersfor the congregation and for the altar of the LORD, in the place which He would choose, even to this day.
Joshua faced the cunning Gibeon (keeping the flesh in the old life) by enslaving the cunning flesh through the following two things:
- Making them woodcutters. It means as follows:
- For the Altar of Burnt Offerings. It means that the sinful flesh must be burnt to believe Jesus and die to sin.
- For burning the bread. It means that the flesh which has repented is brought to serve to God and enjoy the revelation of the Word for making the spirituality mature like the widow of Zarephath and we do not enter the future famine when the Antichrist reigns over the world.
- For burning the flesh which is like the small branches. It refers to the characteristics of the flesh which are often belittled such as laziness, not praying, and so on.
Acts 28:1-5
28:1 Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta.
28:2 And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.
28:3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
28:4 So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live."
28:5 But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.
The branch or flesh that often becomes the hiding place of the viper must be burnt so that we can serve to God according to the ministry which He has entrusted to us.
- Making them water carriers.
Ephesians 5:25-26
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
Jesus as the Head or Husband washes us with the following things:
- The water of the baptism.
The flesh which has died to sin must be buried in the water baptism so that there is no rottenness, but rising in the new life or the righteous one.
- The rain water of the teaching Word.
Deuteronomy 32:1-2
32:1 "Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth.
32:2 Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass.
Being dived in the water baptism, we must be dived in the rain water of the true teaching Word through the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion.
The results are as follows:
- [Ephesians 5:25-26] Jesus as the Head sanctifies and changesus through the power of the rain water of the true teaching Word, so we can be obedient until the flesh does not speak. We can cry out the name of Jesus, see His face, and worship Him.
- Jesus as the High Priest is able to save us from sins, so we can live in righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 5:22-23
5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
The righteous life is the same as salvation. Not being righteous is the same as not being saved.
Jesus is able to set us free from disaster, disease, and so on, so we keep healthy and have long age.
Jesus is able to finish all impossible problems.
- Jesus as the Husband nourishes and cherishes us.
Ephesians 5:29
5:29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishesit, just as the Lord does the church.
It means protecting and preserving us in the midst of the difficulties in the world until the time when the Antichrist reigns over the world.
All or weariness and heavy burdens are born by God, so we are peaceful and all things become easy and light.
Our life is like a chick under the wings of the hen. We keep warm, love God more than anything, and keep faithful in the service and ministry to Him until the end line.
Ephesians 5:27
5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
It continues until we are changed to be perfect for welcoming Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
