Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 2-3 is about the seven times of the sprinkling of blood in front of the Ark of Covenant. It refers to the last sanctification to the church in the last days, until we become perfect and blameless as Jesus. We are worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds.
We are still learning about the church in Pergamos.
Revelation 2:172:17 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.”’God’s promises to the church in Pergamos who overcomes and wants to be sanctified are as follows.
- Receiving the hidden manna.
- Receiving a white stone on which a new name is written.
We will discuss the second one.
The white stone is the Urim and Thummim.
Exodus 28:3028:30 And you shall put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim, and they shall be over Aaron’s heart when he goes in before the Lord. So Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel over his heart before the Lord continually.Hebrews 4:12-134:12 For the word of God isliving and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 4:13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things arenaked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must giveaccount.Thummim means the sword, that is the sword of the Word of God.
Urim means the light of Holy Spirit.
Thus, Urim and Thummim refer to the Word of God in the anointing of Holy Spirit, or the Word whose secret is revealed by Holy Spirit through a verse explains the other verses in the Bible. It equals to the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword, that is able to sanctify us from within our heart that is the center of our life.
Matthew 15:19-2015:19 For out of the heart proceed (1)evil thoughts, (2)murders, (3)adulteries, (4)fornications, (5)thefts, (6)false witness, (7)blasphemies. 15:20 These are the thingswhich defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”These are the seven evil and unclean desires within the heart, that peak on blasphemies.
Revelation 13:5-613:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months. 13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.Blaspheming is the mouth of antichrist. The practices are disfiguring the others, slandering, and blaspheming the righteous. One even blasphemes God and the true teaching Word, and supports the wrong one.
The seven evil and unclean desires within the heart cause one to enter perfection in evil and uncleanness, and to become the Babylon who will be destroyed.
Therefore, we need the sword of the Word that pierces the heart. If the heart is sanctified from seven evil and unclean desires by the work of the Word, it will be filled with Holy Spirit and its seven manifestations.
Isaiah 11:1-3a11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.11:2 (1)The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
(2)The Spirit of wisdom and (3)understanding,
(4)The Spirit of counsel and (5)might, (6)The Spirit of knowledge and (7)of the fear of the Lord.11:3 His delight isin the fear of the Lord,
… The peak of the anointing of Holy Spirit is the fear of the Lord, that is being obedient. It is as Jesus who is obedient until He dies on the cross.
Philippians 2:8-92:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point ofdeath, even the death of the cross. 2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,Because Jesus is obedient until He dies on the cross, He receives the name which is above every name.
Likewise, if our heart is sanctified by the sword of the Word from seven evil and unclean desires, and filled with Holy Spirit with its seven manifestations, we can be obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore, and we will also receive the grace of the name of Jesus.
The levels of receiving the grace of the name of Jesus are as follows.
- The name of Jesus is trusted to us.
The practice of one who cries out Jesus’ name is departing from iniquity.
Philippians 2:10
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
The result is we experience victory power over Satan trinity who is in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, that is Satan, antichrist, and false prophet.
Satan trinity is the source of sin up to its peak, that is sin concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage. If we win over Satan trinity by crying out Jesus’ name, it means we can live in righteousness and holiness.
Satan trinity is the source of problems. If we win over Satan trinity by crying out Jesus’ name, it means we win over every problem even the impossible one.
Satan trinity is the source of suffering and tears. If we win over Satan trinity by crying out Jesus’ name, it means we are joyful.
2 Timothy 2:19
2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
- The name of Jesus is sealed on our forehead.
Revelation 14:1,4
14:1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred andforty-four thousand, having His Father’s name written on their foreheads.
14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from amongmen, beingfirstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
The practice of Jesus’ name is sealed on our forehead is we must experience redemption by His blood.
Revelation 14:3
14:3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred andforty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
Being redeemed by the blood of Jesus means as follows.
- Being redeemed from man (tribe, tongue, people, nation) to be appointed as the priest and king.
Revelation 5:9-10
5:9 And they sang a new song, saying:“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
5:10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
A priest is one who is holy, holds the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit, and ministers God.
- Being redeemed from the influence of the world so we become the priests and kings who are faithful, fervent in spirit, and responsible in ministering God according to the ministry from Him.
Revelation 14:3
14:3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred andforty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
James 4:4
4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Being redeemed from sin, so there are no more lies. Let “yes” be “yes”, and let “no” be “no”. We say “right” for the right matters and say “wrong” for the wrong ones.
Revelation 14:5
14:5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.
Ruth 3:9
3:9 And he said, “Who areyou?”So she answered, “I amRuth, your maidservant. Take your maidservant under your wing, for you are a close relative.”
Psalm 17:7-8
17:7 Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand,
O You who save those who trust in You
From those who rise up against them.
17:8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
If there is the seal of Jesus’ name and there is clear redemption by Him in our life, we will experience the shadow of His wings. It equals to the embrace of two marvelous loving hands of God, that are able to care and protect us as the apple of His eye. On this world that is as the wilderness and full of difficulties, He never lets a grain of sand enter His eye. On the days of antichrist who will reign for three years and a half, the eyes of antichrist will not be able to see lives who are as the apple of God’s eye.
- The name of Jesus is attached to our name.
Isaiah 4:1
4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,
“We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel;
Only let us be called by your name,
To take away our reproach.”
It means we get a new name. It is the relation with the white stone on which a new name is written. Through the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword, we are sanctified so we receive Holy Spirit with its seven manifestations, so we can be obedient and receive the name of God.
The new name is the name of the Heavenly bride. Our knowing to God must increase until we know Him as the Heavenly Bridegroom. The practice of the name of Jesus is attached to our name is “take away our reproach”. It means we experience sanctification and life renewal by the power of the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
The reproach of a Gentile is as a dog that licks its vomit. It refers to useless words, lie, slander, evil and unclean words. A Gentile is also as a swine that returns to its wallowing in the mire, meaning evil and unclean deeds. The character of dog and swine must be sanctified to become the character of the sheep that belongs to God. A sheep has right and good words and deeds.
The reproach of the Gentiles is also worry.
Luke 12:29-32
12:29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
12:30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
12:31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The practices of being sanctified from worry are as follows.
- Prioritizing God and spiritual matters more than everything.
- Becoming a right and well shepherded life.
Although we are small, if we are right and well shepherded, we will be within the hands of God with His great mercy that is greater than everything.
Being right and well shepherded is being shepherded to true teaching Word, and always staying in the pen, meaning persevering in three main services.
In the right and good shepherding, we experience life renewal.
- A father.
John 6:7
6:7 Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may have a little.”
A man must sit, meaning being firm in the shepherding.
A man always thinks "How much money?" But if one is firm in the shepherding, he can be renewed to think "How many bread?" It means fully relying on the Word of God. Thus, we can live in abundance and become blessing to the others. Moreover, his wife and children will follow to firmly sit in the shepherding, so there is peace and calm.
- A woman.
Matthew 15:25-26
15:25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”
15:26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw itto the little dogs.”
A woman must persevere in the shepherding, so she experiences renewal of the tongue.
A woman tends to blame the others, and even God and the true teaching Word. But, if she wants to persevere in the shepherding as the tongue licking the bread, meaning confirming the Word and blaming herself, God will recover everything including the problems of marriage and children.
- A youth.
Nain means a pasture or a pleasant place. A youth must make the shepherding as the most pleasant place. If he does not do that, he must lead to the grave.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to yourelders. Yes, all of yoube submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
A youth must be renewed to become submissive to the parents. Thus, the mighty hand of God will be stretched out to lift him up on His time, to make his life beautiful and successful.
Revelation 22:3-4
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
22:4 They shall see His face, and His name shall beon their foreheads.
We are renewed continually until we reach the last shepherding place in the New Jerusalem. We see Him forever.
God blesses us.
