Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation21:23-2421:23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light.
21:24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.There is no darkness or night in the New Jerusalem. Therefore, the Church must walk in the light of the Trinity of God, namely the light of Father God (the sun), the light of the Son of God (the moon), and the light of Holy Spirit God (the stars).
Revelation12:1 12:1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moonunder her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. It is until we become the light of the world like Jesus. It starts from the household, the light before all people, and the light of the world.
Genesis1:16-181:16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.
1:17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,
1:18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. The functions of the light of the world are as follows:
- The source of the light on earth.
- Ruling over the darkness.
- Dividing the light from the darkness.
ad. 1.
The source of light on earth.
1 Timothy1:12-161:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
1:13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
1:16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. The light that is radiated to the dark world is the life renewal from the sinful fleshly man who lives in the darkness to the spiritual one like Jesus is. For example, Saul became Paul.
Saul had been a blasphemer blaspheming Holy Spirit (having no light of the stars), persecutor (having no love or the light of the sun), and an insolent man, especially in the tongue.
James3:8 3:8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. The saying is in lie, gossip, slander, and blasphemy. It means being without the redemption by the sacrifice of Christ or the light of the moon.
Saul lived in the darkness and become the most sinful man who should have perished.
Acts9:1-29:1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest
9:2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. The service and ministry of Saul were signified by the fervency in emotion or fleshly desires, relying on the fleshly ability in the riches, intelligence, and so on, until he was full of envy, hatred without a cause, threat, and murder until resisting against the way of the Lord or the true teaching Word and persecuting the body of Christ.
Acts9:3-99:3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a lightshone around him from heaven.
9:4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"
9:5 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" Then the Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads."
9:6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?" Then the Lord said to him, "Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."
9:7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one.
9:8 Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.
9:9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.Saul got the light of the Trinity of God through the preaching of the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, the true teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword, or the Bride Tidings that preaches about Jesus' second coming in the glory as the King of all kings or Heavenly Bridegroom. As a result, he got the life renewal from the sinful man to the spiritual one like Jesus is.
The process of experiencing the life renewal is as follows:
- Saulcould not see. The blindness means not using the fleshly sight anymore, but only looking at God or the true teaching Word.
- Not eating and drinking for three days. It means not using or relying on the fleshly power in the riches, intelligence, and so on anymore although one may have such things, but relying on the gifts of Holy Spirit that are more than anything in the world.
- Putting to death the sins in the outward man and the ones in the inward man.
Colossians3:5-9
3:5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: (1)fornication, (2)uncleanness, (3)passion, (4)evil desire, and (5)covetousness, which is (6)idolatry.
3:6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,
3:7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
3:8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: (1)anger, (2)wrath, (3)malice, (4)blasphemy, (5)filthy language out of your mouth.
3:9 Do not (6)lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,
Afterwards, we put on the new man with the seven signs.
Colossians3:10-14
3:10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on (1)tender mercies, (2)kindness, (3)humility, (4)meekness, (5)longsuffering;
3:13 bearing with one another, and (6)forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
3:14 But above all these things put on (7)love, which is the bond of perfection.
As a result, there is number seven, namely the burning lamp or our life becomes example or witness [1 Timothy 1:16].
Proverbs9:1
9:1 Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars;
We are used in the edification of the spiritual house or the edification of Christ's body. It starts from the marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, and so on. It is the same as placing Jesus as the Head. The relationship between the Head and the body is in the neck, namely the worship prayer.
1 Timothy1:17
1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
We can worship Jesus as the King of all kings.
Psalm5:1-2
5:1 <<To the Chief Musician. With flutes. A Psalm of David.>> Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my meditation.
5:2Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray.
As a result, God bears all of our weariness and heavy burdens, so we are peaceful. All things become easy and light. God is able to help us miraculously and solve all impossible problems.
ad. 2.
Ruling over the darkness.
Jesus, the light of the world, rules over the darkness. We are also the light of the world and must rule over the darkness.
Joshua10:12-1410:12 Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: "Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon."
10:13 So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.
10:14 And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the LORD heeded the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel.Joshua (the Church) made war against the stronger enemies. If we appear as the light of the world with the sun, moon, and stars, God will make war instead of us, so we must prevail against the following things:
- Five kings.
Joshua10:3
10:3 Therefore Adoni-Zedekking of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish, and Debir king of Eglon, saying,
They refer to the five senses which are often defeated or ruled over by Satan with the sins up to the peak.
- Adoni-Zedek = self-truth. It means always feeling right and blaming at others.
- Hoham = the protector of man. It means only hoping in man.
- Piram = emotion.
- Japhia= high circle. It refers to arrogance.
- Debir = speaker. It refers to the meaningless or false saying.
If the five senses or the door of the heart are controlled by Satan, the heart will be as hard as Satan's until being judged by God with the stones from heaven.
Joshua10:11
10:11 And it happened, as they fled before Israel and were on the descent of Beth Horon, that the LORD cast down large hailstones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than the children of Israel killed with the sword.
- Seven cities.
Joshua10:28-29,31,33-34,36,38
10:28 On that day Joshua took Makkedah, and struck it and its king with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed them -- all the people who were in it. He let none remain. He also did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
10:29 Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, to Libnah; and they fought against Libnah.
10:31 Then Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, to Lachish; and they encamped against it and fought against it.
10:33 Then Horam king of Gezercame up to help Lachish; and Joshua struck him and his people, until he left him none remaining.
10:34 From Lachish Joshua passed to Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it and fought against it.
10:36 So Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, to Hebron; and they fought against it.
10:38 Then Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to Debir; and they fought against it.
It refers to the seven characteristics of the flesh as follows:
- Makkedah= the place of the shepherds. It means the fleshly characteristic that wants to wander or is not shepherded.
The congregation wanders. The pastor also wanders, so he does not continually preach the Word, but others.
- Libnah= being pale or fearful of something in the world until resisting against God.
- Lachish= cannot be taken. It refers to relying on self-power.
- Gezer= steep rock that is difficult to climb. It refers to the difficulties in the world such as in economy, study, health, and so on which often cause disappointment and hopelessness, until leaving God.
- Eglon = the circle of Satan or money.
Judges3:17
3:17 So he brought the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. (Now Eglon was a very fat man.)
One loves money until being stingy or he cannot give to God and others who are in need and greedy or stealing the possession of God and others.
- Hebron = friendship. The bad company corrupts the good habit. It refers to the unclean friendship.
- Debir= deterioration. It means unfaithfulness until leaving the service and ministry to God.
The heart becomes harder until being as hard as the millstone or being used in the edification of Babylon and starting to drown. The hart becomes as hard as Satan's, namely not being shepherded and obedient until being unable to repent and perishing forever.
If the five senses are victorious over Satan and the seven characteristics of the flesh. We can have the gentle heart. We can be shepherded well and correctly and obedient until the flesh does not speak anymore.
Matthew21:5
21:5 "Tell the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your King is coming to you, Lowly, and sitting on a donkey, A colt, the foal of a donkey.'"
We can be used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the edification of the perfect body of Christ.
If the five senses are controlled by Satan and seven characteristics of the flesh, the lamp is quenched or one lives in the darkness without the sun, moon, and stars.
Acts27:20
27:20 Preach the word! Be ready in season Now when neither sun nor stars appearedfor many days, and no small tempest beat on us, all hope that we would be saved was finally given up.
Consequently, one faces the windstorm in the sea of the world. It means as follows:
- Falling and rising in sins up to the peak.
- Leaving the true teachings and turning to the false ones and gossip.
- Temptations in all aspects until causing disappointment, hopelessness and leaving God.
It continues until drowning in the sea of the world as well as the lake of fire and brimstone or perishing forever.
Jesus willingly helps us through two ways as follows:
- The advice. It refers to the true teaching Word.
Acts27:21-22
27:21 But after long abstinence from food, then Paul stood in the midst of them and said, "Men, you should have listened to me, and not have sailed from Crete and incurred this disaster and loss.
27:22 "And now I urge you to take heart, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
2 Timothy4:2
4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
It is the same as the guidance of God's hands or solution of all problems.
- The food of Passover. It refers to the Holy Communion or sacrifice of Christ.
Acts27:33-36
27:33 And as day was about to dawn, Paul implored them all to take food, saying, "Today is the fourteenth dayyou have waited and continued without food, and eaten nothing.
27:34 "Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you."
27:35 And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat.
27:36 Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.
Exodus12:5-6
12:5 'Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.
12:6 'Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth dayof the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.
The teaching Word and sacrifice of Christ are able to help us until a piece of hair will not vanish away. The merciful hands of God are able to protect and preserve the small and powerless life in the midst of the difficulties in the world.
God blesses you.
