Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16:10-11
16:10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
16:11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
It refers to the pouring of the fifth bowl of God's wrath on the throne of the beast, namely Satan, the Antichrist, and false prophets and his kingdom became full of darkness.
The darkness can happen physically, namely at night time and there is no sunshine or lamp.
Nevertheless, the darkness can also happen spiritually, namely living in sins up to the peak until suffering pain, but not repenting, until blaspheming God. Finally, one must enter the outer darkness in the hell forever.
The facts found in living in the darkness spiritually are as follows:
- None can see one another.
Exodus 10:23
10:23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
It means egoism. One cannot see one another, but can only judge and have self-interest. Moreover, he sacrifices others to get his own interest.
For example, Judas Iscariot sold Jesus to get the lust of money.
Philippians 2:19-21
2:19But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.
2:20 For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state.
2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.
We must sacrifice our own interest and pay attention to the interest of Christ and others, so we are not egoistic.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
3:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
3:2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,
3:4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
Egoism will continue to disobedience.
The meanings of the egoistic are as follows:
- One who serves and ministers to God only in physical form.
It means serving and ministering to God only to look for physical or fleshy things, money, position, entertainment, and so on.
- The fleshly man who never changes although he serves and ministers to God. It happens because of rejecting the power of godliness, namely the cross and the sword of the teaching Word, so he keeps the fleshly man with the eighteen characteristics of the flesh until disobeying or rebelling against God. The body, soul, and spirit are stamped by the Antichrist with the triple six and he becomes the same as the Antichrist who will be destroyed forever.
- Not rising from his place.
Exodus 10:23
10:23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
It means as follows:
- Not experiencing the spiritual revival, but falling and rising in sins up to the peak, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage until falling and not rising anymore. It means living in sins and enjoying it until perishing forever.
- Being paralyzed spiritually.
Acts 9:32-34
9:32 Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda.
9:33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed.
9:34 And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed." Then he arose immediately.
Aeneas means being commendable, great, or glorified. Nevertheless, he was paralyzed.
The paralysis spiritually means as follows:
- Being non active or unfaithful and leaving the service and ministry to God without feeling guilty.
- Something is wrong about the finance, marriage, children, and so on.
- Not hoping to God, but only men.
Consequently, one becomes disappointed and stumbles until denies Jesus.
Acts 20:28,31-35
20:28 "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
20:31 "Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
20:32 "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
20:33 "I have coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel.
20:34 "Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.
20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
The shepherding is related to the redemption by the blood of Jesus.
It costs the blood of Jesus. Therefore, the pastor and the congregation must appreciate it.
We must get the spiritual revival in the shepherding.
It means as follows:
- We must always be in the sheepfold or Holy Place, namely perseverance in committing the three main services to God.
Outside the sheepfold, one must be egoistic and paralyzed.
- The pastor must weep much more for receiving the revelation of the Word that is continual and repetitive. That is the shepherding Word which grows the spirituality of the congregation up to the maturity.
The sheep must also weep much more for enjoying consuming the shepherding Word. It can sanctify us. It begins from the heart which is often bound by the lust of money. We can feel more joyful to give than to receive. That is the sign of the spiritual revival.
We can give or return the possession of God as follows:
- Returning the tithes and offerings. We can give to the work of God and others who are in need.
- Serving and ministering to God seriously until worshiping Him.
- Offering our whole life to God and being His perfect bride.
It begins from confessing something which is not finished in our life as well as our weakness.
There are three things which often have not been finished yet, but hidden as follows:
- The marriage and children. There must be no fornication or adultery in it.
- The net or occupation and finance.
Mark 1:19
1:19 When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.
- The conscience.
1 John 3:18-22
3:18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
3:19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
3:20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
3:21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
The conscience which has not been finished yet will often accuse until there is no rest, but distress.
All things which have not been finished yet make life which is like drinking the sour wine mingled with gall. It means dissatisfaction and having no rest. Such life gets sour and bitter in the curse, weariness, and heavy burdens.
John 19:28-30
19:28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!"
19:29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Therefore, Jesus struggled for many hours on the cross for drinking the sour wine mingled with gall until He said "It is finished." All things which have not been finished yet can be finished by the power of God.
As for us, we must confess all things which have not been finished yet to God. It is the same as giving Jesus sour wine mingled with gall to drink, so our conscience is finished and cannot accuse us. As a result, we receive the new wine, namely the power of Holy Spirit. We can get the satisfaction or give thanks to God. The power of Holy Spirit is able to finish all things which have not been finished yet in our life.
Revelation 21:5-6
21:5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
21:6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
The power of Holy Spirit is able to sanctify and change us continually until we become as perfect as Jesus and we are able to welcome His second coming and enter the New Jerusalem where there is no tear at all.
God blesses you.
