Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are four appearances of Jesus in the glory in Revelation 1:13-16 as follows.
- [verse 13] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as the High Priest.
- [verse 14] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as the King of all kings.
- [verse 15] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as the Just Judge.
- [verse 16] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as the Heavenly Bridegroom.
ad. 3. The appearance of Jesus in the glory as the Just Judge.
Revelation 1:151:15 His feet werelike fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; The signs are as follows.
- His feet are like fine brass.
- His voice is as the sound of many waters.
The voice as the sound of many waters means as follows.
- The revelation of the secret of the Word of God that unveils the things that have not happened yet but surely will happen in the last days, especially about Jesus’ second coming on the glorious clouds to lift us up as His bride. We will meet Him and rejoice with the saying “Alleluia” as the sound of many waters. The prophecy Word also unveils about His judgment over the world with the fire from heaven (the doomsday) up to the judgment in the hell.
- The revelation of the secret of the Word of God that unveils the hidden sins within the congregation, so we can be sanctified until we are perfect, blameless, and worthy to welcome His second coming with the saying “Alleluia” as the sound of many waters.
To be able to welcome His second coming, we must receive the prophecy Word, although it is hard as the sound of many waters.
Acts 1:8-111:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”1:9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 1:10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 1:11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This sameJesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”Jesus was taken up to heaven with two promises as follows.
- He will come for the second time to lift all of us up to the glorious clouds.
- He will pour the Holy Spirit.
The conclusion is to be able to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds and not being judged together with this world, we must accept two things as follows.
- The prophecy Word or the true teaching Word, that will sanctify us until we are perfect and blameless.
- Holy Spirit that is promised by God.
No matter how great a flesh man is, without Holy Spirit he is only as a clay pot that cannot withstand a crash. Flesh man will easily become disappointed and desperate, until be destroyed forever. Flesh man is also as a wood that easily becomes brittle and broken when heat and rain attack.
The usefulness of Holy Spirit related to Jesus second coming is as follows.
- The power to bear witness.
Acts 1:8
1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
What must be testified?
- Testimony about the Gospel of salvation/ Gospel Word/ Good News.
Luke 24:46-49
24:46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
24:47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
24:48 And you are witnesses of these things.
24:49 Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.”
Ephesians 1:13
1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
If we are anointed and fulfilled with Holy Spirit, we will be able to bear witness about the gospel Word that has become our experience, to bring sinful lives outside Jesus to be able to believe Him and be saved.
It is called as the revival of Holy Spirit in the first rain. The direction is from Jerusalem (the Israelites) to Judea and Samaria, the west nations, to the end of the world (the Gentiles). In the gospel map, the end of the world is Papua. The revival of Holy Spirit in the first rain aims to add the number of people (quantity).
- Testimony about the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ/ the true teaching Word/ Bride Tidings.
Matthew 24:27
24:27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
It preaches Jesus’ second coming in glory and has no relation with sins. If we are anointed with Holy Spirit, we will be able to testify the true teaching Word that has become our experience, to bring saved lives to be sanctified until we are perfect and blameless as Jesus.
It is called as the revival of Holy Spirit in the last days, to increase the quality of the body of Christ up to perfection. The direction is from the end of the world (the east) to the west, to Judea and Samaria, until it returns to Jerusalem. If we bring the gospel Word to the Israelites, they will reject it. But if we bring Bride Tidings to them, that Jesus will come for the second time, they will receive it. If the Israelites accept Jesus as the King and Heavenly Bridegroom, the building of the body of Christ has been finished. Jesus will come for the second time to bring us to the New Jerusalem.
- Testimony about what God has done in our life through Good News and Bride Tidings. We testify that God has saved, sanctified, and renewed our life. We also testify about God’s mercy that has helped our life.
Mark 5:18-20
5:18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him.
5:19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”
5:20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
If our testimony becomes a blessing to the others, we will experience greater experience with God so we can testify again.
- Holy Spirit is the Comforter, who gives the power to comfort us.
John 15:25-27
15:25 But this happenedthat the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’
15:26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
15:27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
It means as follows.
- Holy Spirit gives us extra power to face the situation of the world that is full of difficulties, evil, uncleanness, hatred without any reasons, and persecution because of Jesus. We will not grumble, be disappointed or desperate, but we keep bearing witness.
Why must we bear witness?
- So we can enter the revival of the building of the perfect body of Christ.
If we do not enter the body of Christ, we will enter the building of the body of Babylon.
- So we do not have the guilt of bloodshed to the others.
- So we do not gossip or judge the others. We do not deny God in words or deeds.
- Holy Spirit gives us extra power to face sadness and grief in this world, up to the sadness when our beloved one dies. We do not become sad continuously, desperate or disappointed, but we keep giving thanks to God and following Him to the end line (until we die or He comes for a second time).
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
4:13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.
4:15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive andremain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.
4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
4:17 Then we who are alive andremain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
- Holy Spirit gives us extra power so we can keep holding on the true teaching Word that we have received and experienced. Holy Spirit also gives us extra power so we can keep doing well and right (becoming the salty salt) in the middle of decay in this world.
2 Thessalonians 2:15-17
2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
2:16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given useverlasting consolation and good hope by grace,
2:17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.
- Holy Spirit is the Helper, with the power to help us from the weaknesses of the flesh.
John 14:16
14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
Romans 8:26-28
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is,because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will ofGod.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to Hispurpose.
The main weakness of the flesh is cannot pray. Holy Spirit helps us so we can pray and worship God with groanings which cannot be uttered. We can worship God as a crying baby, confessing that we are unworthy, powerless, and not precious. We only depend on the mercy of God. There we will experience lifting power from God, as experienced by Moses.
Exodus 2:6
2:6 And when she opened it,she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”
Moses actually had to die on the hand of Pharaoh’s daughter. But he wept and drew God’s mercy. Likewise, if we cry and worship Him, we will draw His mercy and experience the lifting power.
- Lifting power from water, that is from sins up to the peak of sins, and from the world with all its influence.
Exodus 2:10
2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying, “Because I drew him out of the water.”
We can live in faithfulness and righteousness. We serve God with the belt of faithfulness and righteousness.
Isaiah 11:5
11:5 Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,
And faithfulness the belt of His waist.
Luke 17:8
17:8 But will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink’?
We satisfy God and He will also satisfy us. The eating-drinking matters are the business of God. He will also give us Heavenly joy.
- Lifting power from the son of slave to become the son of king, meaning beautiful and successful future in His time.
- Lifting power to the Heaven.
Deuteronomy 34:6
34:6 And He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor; but no one knows his grave to this day.
Jude 1:9
1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
It means we are used in the building of the perfect body of Christ. We are sanctified and renewed, starting from being obedient. We are renewed until we are as glorious as Him. We will be lifted up to the glorious clouds with the saying “Alleluia” as the sound of many waters.
If we can be obedient, it is the greatest miracle. If the spiritual one happens, the physical one will also happen. The greater the impossibility to obey the Word is, the greater the miracle we will experience.
God blesses us.
