CHILD SUBMISSION SERVICE

Ephesians 1:7-10
1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
1:
8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence,
1:
9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,
1:
10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

Through the child submission service this morning, God gives three main human needs as follows:
  1. Grace.
The manifestation is the redemption through Jesus’ blood, which sets us free from sins.
Sin is the heaviest burden in human life. If we are released from the burden of sin, we will also be released from other burdens.

  2. Wisdom and prudence.
Wisdom and prudence come from the Word we listen, understand, believe, and practice.
Wisdom and prudence purify every step of our life and determine success in our life.

  3. God’ will and plan, those are living in His hands.
We are used in the ministry of building the body of Christ, until we become God’s bride and are together with Him forever.
GENERAL SERVICE
Matthew 27 refers to seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of Covenant.
Now it means the suffering experienced by Jesus up to His death on the cross to save, purify, and perfect us.

In Matthew 27, there are seven passages that refer to seven sprinklings of blood experienced by Jesus up to His death on the cross as follows:
  1. Matthew 27:1-10, Jesus handed over to Pontius Pilate and Judas’ death.
  2. Matthew 27:11-26, Jesus faces Pilate.
  3. Matthew 27:27-32, the soldiers mock Jesus.
  4. Matthew 27:33-50, Jesus’ crucifixion.
  5. Matthew 27:51-56, miracles happen at the time of Jesus’ death.
  6. Matthew 27:57-61, Jesus buried in Joseph’s tomb.
  7. Matthew 27:62-66, Pilate sets a guard.
ad. 3. The soldiers mock Jesus
Matthew 27:27-31
27:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him.
27:
28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him.
27:
29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put iton His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
27:
30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.
27:
31 And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His ownclothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.

There are three types of mockery Jesus experiences as follows:
  1. The soldiers put a scarlet robe on Him. It means mocking the authority of Jesus as King.
  2. The soldiers put a crown of thorns on His head. It means mocking the glory of Jesus as King.
  3. The soldiers put a reed in His right hand, take it, and strike it on His head. It means mocking the power of Jesus as King.
In the past, the soldiers mocked Jesus in the Praetorium. Now, it means mocking Jesus’ first coming to save sinful men, that is mocking the gospel Word/ gospel of salvation/ Good News.

The process of salvation is believing or having faith in Jesus, repenting, and being newly born by water and Holy Spirit. The result is new life, that is life in righteousness.

The practices of mocking Jesus’ first coming are as follows:
  • Not believing in Jesus.
  • Not repenting.
  • Not being newly born. It means rejecting water baptism, or being baptism but not living in righteousness.
2 Peter 3:3-6
3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,
3:
4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they werefrom the beginning of creation.”
3:
5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,
3:
6 by which the world thatthen existed perished, being flooded with water.

In the last days, scoffers will come to mock the promise of Jesus’ second coming. It means mocking the teaching Word/ Bride Tidings.
Bride Tidings is the tidings that reveal Jesus’ second coming in glory to purify and renew the congregation until we are perfect as Him. We will become His bride who is worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds.
Or, Bride Tidings is the Word that reveals God’s judgment over the world at His second coming.

2 Peter 3:10-11
3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
3:
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of personsought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

In the days of Noah, all over the world was judged by the flood.
In the last days, this world will be judged by fire from heaven so all over the world will be dissolved.

2 Peter 2:5-6
2:5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one ofeight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
2:
6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned themto destruction, making theman example to those who afterward would live ungodly;

In the days of Noah, men mocked righteous tidings preached by Noah, so they were judged with the flood.
In the days of Lot, men also rejected righteous tiding preached by the angels, so they were judged with fire and brimstone.
These two examples become warning to us not to mock the teaching Word, so we will not enter God’s judgment and be destroyed together with the world up to perdition in the hell.

Genesis 19:12-14
19:12 Then the men said to Lot, “Have you anyone else here? Son-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whomever you have in the city—take themout of this place!
19:
13 For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”
19:
14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, “Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.

Starting from the period when we are single, in courtship, in betrothal, in marriage, until we enter spiritual marriage, let our life be checked over by the true teaching Word.
Our task is to bear witness about the true teaching Word whatever we face.

Young people must be careful since courtship and betrothal period is the period when heart becomes very hard, until one cannot be advised by pastor and parents.

Why do God’s servant or children mock the true teaching Word? It happens because the conscience is not good, the conscience tends to be evil and unclean.

Genesis 6:2-5
6:2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they werebeautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.
6:
3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he isindeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
6:
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore childrento them. Those werethe mighty men who wereof old, men of renown.
6:
5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man wasgreat in the earth, and thatevery intent of the thoughts of his heart wasonly evil continually.

How can we get good conscience?
  1. Water baptism.
    1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while theark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
    3:
21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Water baptism renews bad conscience to good conscience.

  2. Perseverance in three main services within shepherding.
Moses failed when he ministered with his intelligence in Egypt, but then Moses was nurtured within shepherding in Midian.
The practices of having good conscience are as follows:
  1. Being honest in true teaching Word.
    Titus 2:7-8
2:7 in all things showing yourself to bea pattern of good works; in doctrine showingintegrity, reverence, incorruptibility,
    2:
8 sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.

We say “it is right” for right things and “it is not right” for wrong thing. Do not look at the people with whom we are dealing.

If we can be honest in true teaching Word, we can be honest in everything.

  2. Having firmness to hold on the true teaching Word, which has already become our experience.
    1 Timothy 1:3
1:3 As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

Holding on the true teaching Word means not teaching or listening to another doctrine.

  3. Taking heed to the doctrine means not being infiltrated by any leaven.
    1 Timothy 4:14-16
4:14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.
    4:
15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.
    4:
16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine.Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

If the true teaching Word is infiltrated by another teaching, sometime one will doubt and leave the true teaching Word.

Taking heed to ourselves means as follows:
    • We inspect ourselves. Do not retain any sins. If we find sin, we must confess and leave it.
    • Do not retain any self-truth. Self-truth is the truth of sinful men obtained by blaming the others.
    • Do not be lax in the gifts of Holy Spirit and ministry. Do not leave the ministry.

If we can take heed to ourselves and to the doctrine, our physical and spiritual progress will be more obvious, and we can become God’s witness to the others. Until we can be perfect on His second coming.

  1. Romans 6:17
6:17 But God be thanked that thoughyou were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.

    Philippians 2:8
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point ofdeath, even the death of the cross.

Flesh with all its desire makes us disobey the true teaching Word.

If we want to be obedient, we must experience flesh suffering with Jesus. Flesh with all its desire must be torn through fasting prayer, worship prayer, all night prayer.

    Titus 2:9-10
2:9 Exhortbondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back,
    2:
10 not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.

If we become obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore whatever risk we have to face, we will be able to adorn, glorify, and exalt the true teaching Word. It means we glorify Jesus as the Heavenly Bridegroom, and we live inside the merciful hands of God.

The results of being inside the merciful hands of God are as follows:
    • Our reward and work is within the merciful hands of God.
      Isaiah 49:3-4
49:3 “And He said to me,
‘You areMy servant, O Israel,
In whom I will be glorified.’
49:4 Then I said, ‘I have labored in vain,
I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain;
Yet surely my just reward iswith the Lord,
And my work with my God.’”

It means the merciful hands of God are able to care our physical life in the middle of difficulties in this world, also our spiritual life up to eternal life.

    • The thoughts of our life are within the merciful hands of God.
      Jeremiah 29:11
29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Thoughts of peace mean calmness. Where there is calmness, there is miracle and victory. God will solve all problems in His time. Beautiful thoughts mean God will make everything beautiful in His time.

    • The merciful hands of God will exalt us in His time, until exalt us on the glorious clouds in His second coming.
      Philippians 2:9
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,

God blesses us.
