Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 6 : 12
6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. The opening of the sixth seal refers to the sixth condemnation of Holy Spirit God or the physical and spiritual great earthquake which causes these things:
- The darkness in the world.
Revelation 6:12-13
6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
6:13 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
- The shaking in the world.
Revelation 6:14
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
- The fear in the world.
Revelation 6:15-17
6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
6:17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?
ad. 3. The fear.
There are three kinds of fear as follows:
- The fear attacks Adam and Eve who were great men in the garden Eden or in the atmosphere of abundance.
Genesis 3:9-10
3:9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
3:10 So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraidbecause I was naked; and I hid myself."
Adam and Eve were afraid because they did the sin, unfaithful, and disobeyed the word of God. Consequently, they were naked and lost the glory and the image of the trinity of God.
So, riches, intelligence, and position cannot guarantee the happiness of life. How great the man in the world physically and spiritually, but unfaithful and disobey the word of God, they will do the sins up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking and the sins of marrying-being given in marriage. So, they are in atmosphere of fear or living in curse and perdition.
Therefore, the thing which determines the happiness in the world to the end of life is not being rich or poor and smart or fool, but our obedience.
- The fear attacks Peter, the great servant of God.
Matthew 14:30-31
14:30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
Peter was afraid in facing the wind and waves in the midst of the sea in the world as follows:
- The fear because of the wave of temptations, impossible problems, and difficulties in the daily life and the future life.
- The fear in facing the wind or the false teachings that makes many questions and doubt to the true teaching word. If one is doubtful, he will not be calm. Moreover, he receives nothing until being drowned in the lake of brimstone and fire.
Luke 21:25-26
21:25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
21:26 "men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
The fear or stress becomes the major murderer on the last day. The fear causes not only physical death but also the spiritual one, namely not being fervent in spiritual things and ministry anymore. One does not want to serve and minister to God until he cannot serve and minister to Him. He does not want to worship God until he cannot worship Him anymore. Consequently, he will enter the second death or the fire and brimstone in the hell forever.
- The fear attacks the great men in the world.
Revelation 6:15-16
6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
It refers to the fear to face Jesus who will come for the second time as the King of all kings, the Bridegroom of heaven, and the just judge to judge and condemn the world.
The great men are afraid to face Jesus who will come for the second time because they are hard-hearted. They hide themselves in the rocks or keep their flesh and blood man. They do not want to be sanctified and changed by the teaching word which is hard and sharper than any two-edged sword.
It refers to the condition of Israel at Rephidim who rejected the plan of God, become hard-hearted, and always blamed the word of God, Moses, and God.
Exodus 17:1-4
17:1 Then all the congregation of the children of Israel set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the commandment of the LORD, and camped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
17:2 Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said, "Give us water, that we may drink." And Moses said to them, "Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the LORD?"
17:3 And the people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and said, "Why is it you have brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?"
17:4 So Moses cried out to the LORD, saying, "What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me!"
The fact found in being hard-hearted is thirstiness or not experiencing the satisfaction physically and spiritually.
The consequences are as follows:
- Murmuring, quarrelling, blaming, and judging each other.
- Pursuing the pseudo satisfaction in the world, so such people fall in the sins of uncleanness or the sins of eating-drinking and the sins of marrying-being given in marriage, and the sins of wickedness which are the same as throwing the stone. It refers to the deeds which harm and suffer other people until repaying evil for good.
- Tempting God or resisting against the true teaching word.
Exodus 17:7
17:7 So he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the contention of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?
The condition of the hard-hearted man is hiding himself on the rocks until perishing forever.
Revelation 6:16
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
Exodus 17:5-6
17:5 And the LORD said to Moses, "Go on before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Israel. Also take in your hand your rod with which you struck the river, and go.
17:6 "Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
Not all of the elders were invited. Why? Because some of them were hard-hearted or sided the wrong people.
The solution is that Moses had to strike the rock with a rod until the water came out.
1 Corinthians 10:3-4
10:3 all ate the same spiritual food,
10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
The rock refers to Jesus Christ.
Being struck means being crucified.
So, the solution is that Jesus must die on the cross to bear all the sins and the hardness of our heart, Israel or the Gentile, to pour out Holy Spirit for us.
From God' side, the rock has already been struck with a rod until water comes out. It means that the pouring of Holy Spirit has happened. Now from our side.
Matthew 21:44
21:44 "And whoever falls on this stone will be broken; but on whomever it falls, it will grind him to powder."
There are two possibilities in responding the rock which has been struck until water comes out or Jesus who has died on the cross as follows:
- The rock falls on one means that he keeps the hardness of heart and sins, so he must be condemned and destroyed to perish.
- Falling on the rock or the sacrifice of Jesus refers to a broken heart.
The facts found in the broken heart are as follows:
- Believing in Jesus through hearing the true teaching word which is anointed by Holy Spirit seriously and confessing our sins to God and other people. After we are forgiven, do not do sin anymore, but repent.
- Entering the true water baptism.
Romans 6:2,4
6:2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
6:4 Therefore we were buriedwith Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raisedfrom the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
One who has died to sin or repented must be buried in water to rise with Jesus and receive new life or heavenly one, namely in righteousness.
Matthew 3:16
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
All sins and the curse or the sour wine and bitter gall have been drunk and born by Jesus on the cross. Jesus pours out Holy Spirit, the new wine, or the living water to change us from fleshly man who is fearful the spiritual one who fears God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man's all.
Fearing God refers to holding fast to the true teaching word and obeying it regardless any risk we must take until the flesh does not speak anymore. So, we do not do the sins, but live in righteousness and holiness. We serve and minister to God faithfully and in sincerity.
Joshua 24:14-15
24:14 " Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Being obedient and faithful is the same as stretching our hand to God.
Isaiah 11:1-3
11:1 There shall come forth a Rodfrom the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow outof his roots.
11:2 The Spirit of the LORDshall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
The condition of man who fears God is like Jesus on the cross or the stem which is helpless, powerless, and worthless. No one cares for him. Moreover, his life is trampled and hopeless. If we fear God, He will pour out Holy Spirit with the seven manifestations for us, so we can sprout and bloom.
The results are as follows:
- Sprouting means that the dead can be alive.
Holy Spirit preserves our life in the midst of impossibilities. He is able to command the blessing for us, so the impossible thing can become possible and all things are finished.
- Blooming means being given the gifts of Holy Spirit according to the ministry that God trusts for us. So, our ministry is acceptable to God and we can be successful and beautiful.
- Bearing fruits means changing until bearing nine fruits of Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-23
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
5:23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Love, joy, and peace are the image of Father God
Longsuffering, kindness, and goodness are the image of Son of God.
Faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control are the image of Holy Spirit God.
We return to the image of the trinity of God.Our face is cheerful and happy, and there are no tears anymore. We surrender to God until the time when Jesus comes for the second time, we are changed to be as perfect as Him and we are lifted up on the glorious clouds to see Him face to face forever.
God blesses you.
