Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 10:8-11

10:8 Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, "Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth."
10:9 So I went to the angel and said to him, "Give me the little book." And he said to me, "Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth."
10:10 Then I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.

10:11 And he said to me, "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings."

The little book which is open in the hand of the angel refers the shepherding word or the revelation of the word of God which is entrusted by God to a pastor to be preached to the congregation faithfully, regularly, continually, and repetitively to become food for them with two tastes, namely the bitter taste in stomach and the sweet taste in mouth. It means that the shepherding word which is eaten or practiced is able to sanctify us in our inward (mouth) and outward man (stomach) or our whole life.

Colossians 3:5-7

3:5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
3:6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,
3:7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.

The sanctification to the outward man or the six deeds of sin.

Colossians 3:8-9
3:8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds
.

The sanctification to the six sins in the inward man.

We experience the sanctification to our inward and outward man until there is no lie anymore. We become a new man who does not do sin anymore.

1 John 3:6

3:6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

There are two kinds of meaning "abiding" in the shepherding. They are as follows:

  1. Abiding in sins or not being willing to be sanctified up to doing the peak of sins, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking such as smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse and the ones of marrying-being given in marriage such as adultery between man and woman who are not legal spouse, homosexuality, lesbianism, wrong marriage, et cetera. It is the same as being blind in spirituality, so one's life is in the darkest dark in hell.

For example, Judas Iscariot had been shepherded by Jesus Himself, but he still kept the sins until he perished.

  2. Abiding in Jesus or neither doing sins nor lying anymore, but living in light or not hiding anything until entering the city of light, the New Jerusalem, or the eternal kingdom of heaven.

The proofs or facts found in abiding in Jesus are as follows:

  1. Obeying the shepherding word until the flesh does not speak anymore.
    1 John 3:24
3:24 Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

  2. We experience the pouring of Holy Spirit or live in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
When we are obedient, there is anointing of Holy Spirit for sure.

    Romans 8:15

8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

    Acts 5:32

5:32 "And we are His witnesses to these things, and so also is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey Him."

The process of receiving the pouring of Holy Spirit.
John 16:7
16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

As for Jesus, He must die on the cross, rise from death, and ascend to heaven to pour Holy Spirit for us.
Actually it is only for Israelites, but because a part of them rejected Him, the opportunity is opened for the Gentiles.

Acts 2:36-39

2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
2:37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2:39 "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

As for us, we must be as follows:

  1. We know assuredly. It means that we have faith and we trust Jesus as the only Savior.
  2. We repent, stop sinning, and return to God or die to sin.
When men do not repent, but keep the sins, there is no Holy Spirit.

  3. We enter the true water baptism. One who has died to sin must be buried in water with Jesus, so he is raised from water with Jesus. The door of heaven opens and we get the new life or the heavenly life and new heart as the place of Holy Spirit.
    1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  4. We get the Holy Spirit baptism.

Our attitudes toward Holy Spirit are as follows:

  1. Not grieving Holy Spirit.
    Ephesians 4:30-31
4:30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
4:31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

The things which grieve Holy Spirit are the bitterness, wrath, anger, et cetera. The consequence for ones who grieve Holy Spirit is that they are in sorrow or not joyful.

The right attitude is that we must always be reconciled by the sword of the word which is repeated to show our sins. So, we can confess and forgive one another. The blood of Jesus cleanses all of our sins, so we have a peaceful heart that becomes the place of Holy Spirit.

    Ephesians 4:32

4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

Holy Spirit likes to dwell in our life and our life will enjoy and rejoice in God.

  2. Not quenching Holy Spirit.
    1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
5:19 Do not quench the Spirit.
    5:20 Do not despise prophecies.
5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good.
5:22 Abstain from every form of evil.

The things which make Holy Spirit quenched are as follows:

    • Blaspheming or rejecting the true teaching word.
    • Doing the evil things until repaying good with evil.

When Holy Spirit is quenched, the lamp is quenched too, so men will stumble in sins up to the peak and in the service and ministry to God or not being faithful until leaving the service and ministry.

The right attitudes are appreciating, being enthusiastic and fervent, enjoying, until obeying the true teaching word. So, Holy Spirit is also fervent in our life.
    Luke 24:32-34
24:32 And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"
24:33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together,
24:34 saying, "The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!"

We can be faithful and fervent in spirit to serve and minister to God and become His witness. We experience the power of the resurrection of Jesus which is able to open all closed doors.

  3. Not blaspheming Holy Spirit nor rejecting the works of Holy Spirit.
    Matthew 12:31
12:31 "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.

There are two main works of Holy Spirit as follows:

    • The work of salvation.
      Matthew 1:20-21
1:20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
1:21 "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins."

Holy Spirit makes us realize, regret, and confess our sins to God and other people. After being forgiven, do not do the sins anymore, so we are saved by God or not condemned.
Blaspheming Holy Spirit means that one does not want to confess his sins, but blames at other people.

    • Holy Spirit gives the gifts of Holy Spirit which determine the ministry, so we are used in the ministry of the edification of the perfect body of Christ.
      Ephesians 4:7,11-12
4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

Holy Spirit gives the gifts of Holy Spirit which determine the ministry, so we are used in the ministry of the edification of the perfect body of Christ. It starts from the marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, until Israelites and the Gentiles become the perfect body of Christ. Blaspheming Holy Spirit means hindering the right edification of the body of Christ and supporting the wrong one.

The right attitude is that we glorify Holy Spirit or we do the best in ministering the edification of the body of Christ. So, Holy Spirit will also glorify us.

Why must there be Holy Spirit in our life? Because even how we are great, we are only the fleshly men who are like the clay pot which is brittle, broken, and destroyed.

  1. Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses in facing sins up to the peak.
    Romans 8:13
8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Holy Spirit puts to death the worms of sin or the deeds of sin, bacteria of sin or the sins in our heart up to mouth, until virus of sin or the self-truth.

  2. Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses in facing the temptations.
    Romans 5:5
5:5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Holy Spirit pours the love of God, so we are strong and courageous. We are not disappointed and hopeless and do not leave God. We keep faithful and fervent in spirit in the service and ministry. We keep on living in righteousness and holiness, trusting, and hoping Him. We are patient and persevere in waiting the time of God. Holy Spirit helps us in due time.

  3. Holy Spirit helps us from the weakness of the flesh which cannot pray.
    Romans 8:26-28
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose
    .

So, we can pray with a broken heart.

Holy Spirit is able to change us from the fleshly man to the spiritual one like Jesus. The rotten things become sweet smelling aroma, the failure becomes successful and beautiful, the impossible one becomes possible, until we are perfect to welcome the second coming of Jesus on the glorious clouds.

God blesses you.
