Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 15:1-215:1.Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
15:2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
The title is Prelude to the Bowl Judgments.
Verse 1 = the time of the end of God's wrath, namely the three times seven judgments of Holy Spirit God, the Son of God, and Father God which end in the doomsday. It happens when Jesus comes a second time.
Every experience in our following Jesus in the death and resurrection brings us to the sea of glass mingled with fire before the throne of the heavenly kingdom.
Our following Jesus in the death and resurrection experience will be the strings of the harp that sounds melodiously together with the victory song (verse 3).
The truth of the Word is needed for harmonizing the strings for producing the melodious sound.
Ephesians 4:254:25.Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
Being harmonized by the Word, we will not lie.
Ephesians 5:19-215:19.speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singingand making melody in your heart to the Lord,
5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
The words are according to the truth of the Word, namely the righteous ones, praises to God, testimonies, and worship to Him.
The words must be accounted for on the judgment day.
The words are the same of the fruit of life.
Matthew 12:36-3712:36."But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
12:37 "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."
There are two things which happen through the saying as follows:
- Being justified because of confessing sins to God and others with serious regret. This refers to the sound of harp which is arranged by the Word.
As a result, we get the remission of sin, so we can repent and not commit sin anymore, but we live in righteousness. It begins from the righteous words. We are set free from the judgment.
- Being punished because of saying meaningless words such as lies, gossip, slander, and blasphemy. It refers to the tone which is out of tune because one does not want to be harmonized by the truth of the Word or he never confesses his sin, but he is proud of it and finally he will be punished for sure.
Revelation 15:215:2. And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
Revelation 4:6a4:6a.Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal.
The sea of glass mingled with fire is before the heavenly throne in the heavenly kingdom.
On the earth, the miniature of the heavenly kingdom is the Tabernacle.
When Moses fasted on the top of Mount Sinai, he saw the sea of glass in the Tabernacle, namely the Brazen Laver.
It was before the Door of the Tabernacle.
Exodus 30 refers to the worship:
- Verse 1-10= the Golden Altar of Incense (the altar).
- Verse 11-16= the offerings of half a shekel for redeeming soul.
- Verse 17-21= the Brazen Laver.
- Verse 22-33= the holy anointing oil.
- Verse 34-38= the holy incense.
The Brazen Laver refers to the true water baptism.
Here the Brazen Laver is put in the chapter about worship.
Why?
- The Brazen Laver was made of the bronze mirrors of the serving women.
Exodus 38:8
38:8.He made the laver of bronzeand its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving womenwho assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.
The mirror refers to a tool for beautifying the flesh.
It must be destroyed and built as the Brazen Laver.
Thus, the Brazen Laver refers to the process of destroying the flesh to be built as the useful tool for God.
The worship prayer also refers to the process of destroying the flesh with all of its lusts, so we get the renewal of life up to being as perfect as Jesus is.
Therefore, the Brazen Laver is put in the chapter about worship.
- 1 Peter 3:21
3:21.There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism(not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
The water baptism refers to asking for the good conscience which is obedient.
Asking or hoping is a part of the worship prayer.
Therefore, the Brazen Laver is put in the chapter about worship.
Exodus 30:17-1830:17.Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
30:18 "You shall also make a laver of bronze, with its base also of bronze, for washing. You shall put it between the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. And you shall put water in it,
The Brazen Laver is put between the Altar of Burnt Offerings and the Door of the Tabernacle.
Thus, the base of the true water baptism is to believe Jesus and repenting or being dead to sin.
Afterwards, one who has died to sin must be buried in water with Jesus and raised from water with Him, so the heavens are opened and we get the new life, namely the heavenly one.
The heavenly life refers to the fullness of Holy Spirit or the Door of the Tabernacle, so we get the good conscience, namely obedience.
Exodus 30:2130:21."So they shall wash their hands and their feet, lest they die. And it shall be a statute forever to them-- to him and his descendants throughout their generations."
'
a statute forever to them'= the true water baptism was the absolute requirement and the everlasting statute that had to be obeyed by Aaron and his sons or the High Priest and the priests.
Thus, we must be baptized first before being a priest so that our ordination can increase up to the everlasting one in the heavenly kingdom. We can stand on the sea of glass mingled with fire before the heavenly throne.
Not being baptized yet, but one has already ministered to God, his ministry will be dead or his spirituality is dead. He cannot reach the sea of fire mingled with fire because of transgressing the everlasting statute.
Thus, the sea of glass mingled with fire refers to the increase of the Brazen Laver or the water baptism on earth.
Luke 3:21-233:21.When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened.
3:22 And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased."
3:23 Now Jesus Himself began His ministryat about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli,
Jesus also had to be baptized first, and then He could served. This is an example for all of us.
Matthew 3:13-173:13.Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
3:14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, "I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?"
3:15 But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
3:17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Through the true water baptism, Jesus becomes the example of obedience to the will of God.
It also becomes His power for facing the following things:
- The temptations from Satan in the wilderness of the world[Matthew 4:1-11].
Thus, facing the temptation from Satan, we must hold the will of God.
The temptations from Satan are as follows:
- Verse 1-4 = bread was changed into stone = economic problem or the daily needs.
- Verse 5-7 = service and ministry to God, including the position.
Do not be outside the will of God because of the position in the house of the Lord and so on. Do not look and ask for any position because it comes from the Lord.
- Verse 8-10 = the worship prayer. Whom do we worship? God or Mammon?
The purpose of Satan was that Jesus went out of the will of the Father until perishing.
Now, the purpose of Satan is that men go out of the will of God to be in his hands for being destroyed forever.
The time of being outside the hands of God is the one of destruction.
Matthew 4:11
4:11.Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Through His obedience to the Father, Jesus could defeat Satan and the angels came and ministered to Him.
If we take the example of Jesus' obedience, we will also defeat Satan with all of temptations and the angel will come to serve to us. We are shepherded well and correctly (the angel refers to the pastor).
We always dwell in the sheepfold, namely the perseverance in committing the three main services to God. We always hear and obey the voice of the shepherd. This is the will of God.
John 10:27-28
10:27"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 10:28 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.
Being shepherded well and correctly, we will be in the hands of the Great Shepherd. We have the guarantee of assurance for the preservation of our present life, health, recovery, and victory over the temptation, up to the eternal life on the sea of glass mingled with fire.
- The flesh with all of its wills, sorrows, and fears.
Luke 22:42-43
22:42.saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."
22:43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.
This is the enemy from inside.
Through His obedience, Jesus can defeat the flesh. Likewise, if we are obedient, the angels from heaven can give us power.
The power from heaven refers to Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit strengthens us so that we keep on being obedient, giving thanks, and fearing God regardless of anything we must face. Holy Spirit makes us happy in the midst of sufferings.
Fearing the Lord is the same as hating sins and lies.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13The fear of the LORDis to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
We give honor and fear God, so we hate the sins and lies. This is victory.
- The trinity of Satan.
John 19:30
19:30.So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Philippians 2:8-11
2:8.And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven(Satan), and of those on earth(false prophets), and of those under the earth(the Antichrist),
2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus must give His soul or be obedient to the point of death for facing the trinity of Satan or the source of all bad things.
We must also take the example of Jesus'obedience, namely being obedient until the flesh does not speak anymore, so we can get the power in the name of Jesus.
We get the power in the name of Jesus, starting from the water baptism.
We can cry out the name of Jesus.
The results are as follows:
- Verse 10 = the victory power over the trinity of Satan.
We can keep on living in holiness. All impossible temptations are finished.
- Verse 9 = the power of lifting up.
It means that we are lifted up and glorified by God. We are used in the edification of the perfect body of Christ. All things become successful and beautiful in time of need.
- Verse 11 = the power of renewal.
The tongue only says the righteous and honest words. It begins from the teachings. We can praise God up to the victory song on the sea of glass.
Luke 7:28-30
7:28."For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."
7:29 And when all the people heard Him, even the tax collectors justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John.
7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the will of God for themselves, not having been baptized by him.
John is the greatest man in the world. He is entrusted with the water baptism because the water baptism determines our standing on the sea of glass mingled with fire or the sea of fire and brimstone.
The tax collector was sinful, but he received the will of God in his life and Jesus'obedience in the water baptism, so he could be saved and perfected.
On the contrary, the Pharisees and scribes rejected the will of God on their life because of keeping the self-truth until perishing forever.
Genesis 1:26-27
1:26.Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
1:27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
When Jesus comes a second time, we are sanctified and changed to be in one image and pattern of the Trinity of God. We become as perfect as Jesus is. We defeat the trinity of Satan, so there is shout for joy on the glorious clouds up to the victory song on the sea of glass mingled with fire.
God blesses you.
