Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 2-3 is about the seven times of the sprinkling of blood in front of the Ark of Covenant. It refers to the last sanctification to the church in the last days, until we become perfect and blameless as Him.
Although one has many excellences or sacrifices, but if he has one fault or blame, he will not be able to reach perfection and will be left on His second coming.
Revelation 2:12-132:12 “And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write, ‘These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: 2:13 “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is.And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas wasMy faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.Jesus appears with the sharp two-edged sword to the church in Pergamos who is in the ambience of the throne of Satan.
The sharp two-edged sword is the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword, the true teaching Word, the sanctification Word.
There are two types of the preaching of the Word as follows.
- The gospel Word that brings sinful men to believe Jesus and be saved.
- The teaching Word that sanctifies saved lives up to perfection as Jesus.
Jesus appears with the sharp two-edged sword not to judge the church in Pergamos, but to sanctify and move them from the ambience of the throne of Satan to the throne of Heaven.
Revelation 4:6-84:6 Before the throne there wasa sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, werefour living creatures full of eyes in front and in back. 4:7 The first living creature waslike a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature waslike a flying eagle. 4:8 Thefour living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”The ambience of the throne of Heaven is the ambience of holiness or sacredness.
What must be sanctified by the sword of the Word of God?
- The belly that is filled with fat.
Judges 3:16-17,21-22
3:16 Now Ehud made himself a dagger (it was double-edged and a cubit in length) and fastened it under his clothes on his right thigh.
3:17 So he brought the tribute to Eglon king of Moab. (Now Eglon wasa very fat man.)
3:21 Then Ehud reached with his left hand, took the dagger from his right thigh, and thrust it into his belly.
3:22 Even the hilt went in after the blade, and the fat closed over the blade, for he did not draw the dagger out of his belly; and his entrails came out.
The fat belongs to God.
The belonging of God must be returned to Him. It must not be stored for one self.
Leviticus 3:16-17
3:16 and the priest shall burn them on the altar asfood, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma; all the fat isthe Lord’s.
3:17 ‘This shall bea perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall eat neither fat nor blood.’”
The fat is the tithe and the special offering that belong to God.
They must be returned to Him.
1 Samuel 4:15-18
4:15 Eli was ninety-eight years old, and his eyes were so dim that he could not see.
4:16 Then the man said to Eli, “I amhe who came from the battle. And I fled today from the battle line.” And he said, “What happened, my son?”
4:17 So the messenger answered and said, “Israel has fled before the Philistines, and there has been a great slaughter among the people. Also your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead; and the ark of God has been captured.”
4:18 Then it happened, when he made mention of the ark of God, that Eli fell off the seat backward by the side of the gate; and his neck was broken and he died, for the man was old and heavy. And he had judged Israel forty years.
The consequences of eating the fat are as follows.
- Dim eyes, meaning there is no revelation of the Word of God (for a pastor) and cannot understand the revelation of the Word (for the congregation), so they are hungry and dry spiritually.
- Broken neck, meaning cannot worship God, so one dies spiritually and leads to the second death.
Be careful since the danger now is the elders and the congregations steal God’s belief to a pastor, who is faithful to feed the congregation, to receive the tithe and special offering.
The consequence is the servant of God is not trusted in the revelation of the Word so there is no spiritual food and the whole congregation will dry and die spiritually.
Let us now experience the sanctification of the belly by the sword of the Word, so we can return the tithe and special offering that belong to God. It equals to burning the fat so it produces a soothing aroma in His presence.
Genesis 8:21
8:21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart isevil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.
If there is a soothing aroma, the throne of Heaven will descend in the midst of us, so there is no more curse, weariness, and heavy burden. We are joyful and there is no more judgment of the throne of Satan. We receive the eternal life.
- The sin of pride or vanity.
1 Chronicles 21:1-2,7,16,27
21:1 Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.
21:2 So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, “Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it.”
21:7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.
21:16 Then David lifted his eyes and saw the angel of the Lord standing between earth and heaven, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. So David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.
21:27 So the Lord commanded the angel, and he returned his sword to its sheath.
It means counting on something from this world (richness, position, smartness, the amount of the congregation, et cetera) more than God. It displeases Him.
One who easily gets proud will easily get disappointed, desperate, and even leave God.
Let the sword pierce our feeling so we prioritize God more than anything in this world.
2 Chronicles 26:5,16-19
26:5 He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.
26:16 But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to hisdestruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.
26:17 So Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him were eighty priests of the Lord—valiant men.
26:18 And they withstood King Uzziah, and said to him, “It isnot for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed! You shall haveno honor from the Lord God.”
26:19 Then Uzziah became furious; and he hada censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before the priests in the house of the Lord, beside the incense altar.
King Uzziah counts on his strength so he becomes proud. The practices are as follows.
- Serving God not according to the ministry.
- Serving God not according to the Word of God.
The consequences are as follows.
- Leprosy, that is self-truth and falling in uncleanness.
- Being isolated. The physical meaning is being in total failure. The spiritual meaning is being outside the body of Christ, so one loses the ambience of the throne of Heaven and has the ambience of the throne of Satan. He is dry spiritually up to everlasting perdition.
- Leviathan who rules over the sea.
Isaiah 27:1
27:1 In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong,
Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that isin the sea.
Psalm 74:13
74:13 You divided the sea by Your strength;
You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.
Revelation 17:1,5,15
17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
17:5 And on her forehead a name waswritten:MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS
AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS
OF THE EARTH.
17:15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
The sanctification to the Leviathan who rules over the sea is the sanctification to the sins of Babylon or the peak of sins that rule over the Gentiles. The sins of Babylon are the sins concerning eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, consuming drugs) and marrying-being given in a marriage (sexuality sin with all its variety, including sexual deviation and wrong marriage). The sins of Babylon cannot be opposed by anything, except the sword of the Word.
Therefore, many waters must be put in the waterpots, meaning the Gentiles must enter the good and right shepherding place, where there is the sword of the true teaching Word that is able to sanctify us from the sins of Babylon.
If the sword of the Word sanctifies us, there will be miracle from tasteless water to sweet wine. A tasteless and even bitter marriage will become sweet. The ambience of the throne of Satan will become the throne of Heaven.
- The right eye, that is outlook.
Matthew 5:29
5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast itfrom you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Our outlook must be sanctified so we can have spiritual outlook, that is we only see Jesus as the High Priest and the Great Shepherd who sits on the right side of the throne of Father God.
- The mouth.
Psalm 149:6
149:6 Letthe high praises of God bein their mouth,
And a two-edged sword in their hand,
The mouth must be sanctified so we can say good and right words. We can praise God and talk with Him.
We experience the sanctification of our eye and mouth so we can see and talk with Him through a worship prayer.
John 9:37-38
9:37 And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.”
9:38 Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.
The results of worshiping God are as follows.
- Being steady, strong and of good courage.
Psalm 16:8
16:8 I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He isat my right hand I shall not be moved.
Being strong and of good courage means as follows.
- Keeping holding fast the true teaching Word and being obedient until the end line.
- Keeping living in righteousness until the end line.
- Not being disappointed or desperate, not denying God whatever we face. We keep being faithful and fervent in spirit in ministering Him until the end line.
John 16:33
16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
If we are strong and of good courage, we will experience victory power over the world that is in the ambience of the throne of Satan, difficulties, uncleanness, and curses.
The proof is we live in peace and everything becomes easy and light. Everything is solved right in His time.
- We experience life renewal from the flesh man to the spiritual one as Jesus.
John 9:39-41
9:39 And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.”
9:40 Then someof the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?”
9:41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.
It is the spiritual miracle, the greatest miracle.
The start of life renewal is feeling blind, meaning as follows.
- Feeling unworthy. We have many faults and weaknesses. We do not see the faults of the others but we correct ourselves through the sharpness of the sword of the Word. If there is sin, we must confess it. If we are forgiven, we must not repeat it anymore. It equals to repentance.
- Feeling small and powerless. We only depend on Jesus as the Great Shepherd and the High Priest. We fully surrender our life to Him. We stretch out our hands and cry out His name. Thus, He will also stretch out His loving hands to conduct miracles in our life.
The steps of one who believes and fully surrenders his life to God are the steps of miracle. Spiritually, we are renewed continually.
Physically, God is also able to make miracle. The impossible one will be made possible. The last step or the last miracle is we will be renewed as glorious as Him on His second coming. We will really enter the throne of Heaven.
Revelation 22:3-4
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
22:4 They shall see His face, and His name shall beon their foreheads.
We only see Jesus’ face and cry out with one saying “Alleluia” forever.
Revelation 2:16
2:16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
On the contrary, men who reject the sword of the Word will be left on the world and face the sword of God’s judgment and slaughter. They will cry out loudly in many languages and it never happens in this world.
God blesses us.
