Matthew 25:31-34, 4125:31. "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
25:32 "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
25:33 "And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
25:34 "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:At the time of Jesus' second coming, He will appear as King of kings and Great Shepherd to divide sheep from the goats.
The sheep are on His right side, but the goats are on His left side. The base of separation is
heavenly wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 10:210:2 Awise man's heartis at his right hand, But a fool's heart at his left.Sheep are on the right side because of having heavenly wisdom, so they can enter the heavenly kingdom.
Goats are in the left side because of not having heavenly wisdom, so they will enter into everlasting hell.
How can we receive the heavenly wisdom?- Through fear of the Lord
- Through meekness
James 3:133:13. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done inthe meekness of wisdom. We are still learning about the way to get
the heavenly wisdom throughthe meekness.
Three things that must be meek are as follows:- The meek heart.
James 1:21
1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
The meek heart means heart that has been purified from impurity and evil also bitterness and hatred, so we can receive 2 things i.e.:
- the Word sharper than any two-edged sword.
Acts 2:36-37
2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredlythat God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
2:37 Now when they heard [this], they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?"
The process to receive the sharp Word is as follows:
- Hearing the Word in earnest.
- Understanding the Word.
- Believing and surely knowing the Word = The Word becomes faith in heart as the implanted Word. If the Word has become faith in heart, it will touch the heart, means we realize and regret sins also confess it to God and neighbor. Then the Jesus' blood will forgive the sins = we are justified by His blood = we are saved by His blood.
As long as we can hear and receive the hard teaching Word in any circumstances, there is still a chance to be saved.
Acts 5:33
5:33 When they heard [this], they were furiousand plotted to kill them.
The wicked heart will be furious when they hear the hard teaching Word = rejecting the hard teaching Word, so the heart keeps hatred, revenge, bitterness, etc. This kind of people can no longer hear the Word someday, so they keep on falling and rising from sins until the climax sins (eating-drinking sins and sex sins). At the end they will perish eternally.
Amos 8:11-14
8:11 "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD.
8:12 They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, But shall not find [it].
8:13 "In that day the fair virgins And strong young men Shall faint from thirst.
8:14 Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, Who say, `As your god lives, O Dan!' And, `As the way of Beersheba lives!' They shall fall and never rise again."
- Accept afellowwithall thestrengths and weakness. It begins in marriage.
We should not envy the strengths of other people. But if there is a weakness, we should confess and forgive each other. Also we should pray for each other.
With the meek heart, we can receive the hard teaching Word and accept the others' strengths and weakness. So all sins are cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
When sins are wiped out, we feel relief and peace. Everything will be grateful and easy.
Sins make our lives more difficult. Therefore, the wicked heart makes its life more difficult.
- The meek tongue.
Proverbs 15:4
5:4 A wholesome tongue [is] a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
The unfair tongue/the wicked tongue will hurt other people.
The meek tongue is the truthful tongue as follows:
- Tongue that confesses sins.
- Tongue that says word honestly, let your `Yes' be `Yes,' and your `No,' be `No.' Not telling a lie, not hiding something.
- Tongue that says good thing, be a blessing to the others.
The results will be real as follows:
- Everything become alive (a wholesome tongue is a tree of life).
Physically, our lives will be preserved by the Lord.
Our spiritual lives will also be preserved by the Lord. We will not be dried and not be dead. We live in righteousness and worship God faithfully.
- Everything's good.
1 Peter 3:10-11
3:10 For "He who would love life and see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil,And his lips from speaking deceit.
3:11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.
The meek tongue will guarantee everything become alive and goodlike living in paradise (Firdaus).
The tongue is a wheel of life that decides death or life, decides being ruined or not, decides going to hell or heaven.
- The meek character.
Galatians 5:22-23
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
5:23 gentleness, selfcontrol. Against such there is no law.
The meekness is like what Jesus has, and we will have 9 fruits of the Spirit which begins with Love until self-control. Self-control means as follows:
- To control emotion so that we do not tend to blame others and not to provoke a quarrel.
- To control desire that is contrary to the Word.
- To control the feeling of flesh so that we do not become doubtful, do not worry, do not expect anyone else but just hoping totally to God.
1 Peter 4:7
4:7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
When we have controlled ourselves totally, we will be quiet and calm.
Isaiah 30:14-15
30:14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter's vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern."
30:15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not,
Being quiet meansbeing silent, examining our sins. When sin is found, it must be confessed to God and neighbor. When sin is forgiven, we must stop sinning. Just like the broken vessel that still can be restored. But repeating sin is like slamming the broken vessel again so it's more devastated.
Being calm means as follows:
- Being well shepherded. Do not hear the strangers' voices that are different from the true teaching Word. Just like Jacob dwelling in tents while Esau was always hunting. Esau has the birthright and all the potential. Because of not being well shepherded, Esau has lost everything. Jacob doesn't have any potential but dwells in tent and gets everything.
- Being peaceful = trusting and surrendering ourselves totally to God.
When we are quiet and calm, we will be able to pray and call upon the name of Jesus.
Not all prayers of people that call upon the name of Jesus will be answered. In Acts, seven children of Sceva call on the name of Jesus to repel demons but demons come instead. It's because of they aren't quiet and calm, they still have hidden sins.
Mark 4:37-39
4:37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling.
4:38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"
4:39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
God allows us to face windstorm and waves in order to change us to have meekness; the meek heart, the meek tongue, until the meek character. When we are quiet and calm, and can call on the name of Jesus, The hands of God will stretch to make a great calm, to give heavenly happiness, and to solve any troubles even the impossible one in His time.
The disciples' boat was about tosink but God was still able to help them.
Matthew 14:30-31
14:30 But when he saw that the wind [was] boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched out [His] hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
Peter beganto sink, but when he called upon the name of Jesus, he was saved.
Jonah 2:1-2,6
2:1 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish's belly.
2:2 And he said: "I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me. "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, [And] You heard my voice
2:6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars [closed] behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD, my God.
Jonah is alreadysunk but he is still able to call upon the name of Jesus. And God saved him.
Psalm 107:28-30
107:28 Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.
107:29 He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.
107:30 Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven.
God will lift us to the New Jerusalem's haven, the eternal Heavenly Kingdom
God blesses you.
