Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 16:15
16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."
The second coming of Jesus on the glorious clouds is like a thief. It means that the time is not known. Therefore, we must watch about the following things:
- Garments, lest we are naked, ashamed, and destroyed.
- Time, so we do not become negligent or asleep.
Mark 13:35-36
13:35 "Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming--in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning--
13:36 "lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.
There are four kinds of time for watching as follows:
- In the evening (6 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
- At midnight (9 p.m. - 12 midnight)
- At the crowing of the rooster (12 midnight - 3 a.m.)
- In the morning (3 a.m. - 6 a.m.)
ad. 1.
Watching in the evening.
Luke 24:28-32
24:28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther.
24:29 But they constrained Him, saying, "Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent." And He went in to stay with them.
24:30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.
24:31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
24:32 And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"
It means watching about the faith through the perseverance and fervency in spirit in committing the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion or the Table of Showbread. We get the fellowship with the Son of God. The Word and Holy Communion are ingrained in our life.
We get the sanctification or spiritual growth. The proofs are as follows:
- Having the opened eyes [verse 31] for seeing Jesus as the Great Shepherd.
The pastor can see Jesus as the Great Shepherd, so there is always the revelation of the Word or the healthy food.
The congregation can see Jesus as the Great Shepherd to understand and become fervent in consuming the true teaching Word more. The more we willingly dwell together with Jesus [verse 29b] = the more we persevere, so we are more sanctified from sins and the ways are opened for us more. The doors in the world are opened up to the door of heaven.
- Our faith becomes firmer. We are not moved when we are facing temptations in physical life such as economy, health, marriage partner, and future life as well as in spiritual life, namely about the false teachings. We keep on holding fast and obeying the one true teaching Word.
1 Peter 1:6-7
1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
1:7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
It is until our faith becomes perfect like the pure gold. We get the heavenly joy in the midst of sufferings or tests of faith.
Peter did not dare to face the test of faith, so he denied Jesus three times. Consequently, he wept. Not being helped, there would have been weeping forever like Esau and perishing.
Let us dare to face the test of faith. Maybe we must cry or become sorrowful, but we will find the heavenly joy at the end.
By the perfect faith, our eyes will be opened more to see Jesus as the King of all kings or the Heavenly Bridegroom and we are ready for welcoming His second coming on the glorious clouds.
ad. 2.
Watching at midnight (9 p.m. - 12 midnight).
It is the darkest condition, namely facing sins up to the peak.
Matthew 25:4-6
25:4 "but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
25:5 "But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
We must watch in the hope or holiness through the following things:
- Hearing the Bride Tidings or the true teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword.
- Having the oil for supply, so the lamp keeps on burning, through the perseverance in committing the General Service (the Golden Candlestick) to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts.
We always get the anointing and fullness of Holy Spirit until He overflows and becomes the oil for supply so that our lamp keeps on burning. The proofs are as follows:
- We are victorious over the darkness of basket and bed.
- The darkness of basket refers to the crisis of economy and sins concerning eating-drinking such as smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse.
- The darkness of bed refers to the sins concerning marrying-being given in marriage or fornication between man and woman who are not legal spouse, pornography, sexual affairs, false marriage, mix marriage, divorce-remarrying, marrying-being given in marriage.
As a result, we can live in holiness and testify. It starts from our marriage or household, before all people, up to the light of the world.
- The waist is always girded.
Luke 12:35
12:35 "Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning;
It means that we are always ready to work for God. We always serve and minister to God in faithfulness and righteousness [Isaiah 11:5], and goodness [Matthew 25:21]. Being faithful in little things is the same as our lamp's burning the most, so we are entrusted in great things, namely the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the edification of the perfect Christ's body. We get the increasing heavenly joy.
The servant of God who is holy, faithful, and fervent in spirit is like the flame of fire. The eye of God is like the flame of fire. Thus, we become the apple of God's eye or one whom He loves. We have hope in Him and can be hoped.
- The hope increases up to the one for waiting or welcoming Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
1 John 3:2-3
3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
We are sanctified continually. We live in holiness in the midst of the peak of sins until we can be as holy as Jesus is or the perfect hope.
ad. 3.
Watching at the crowing of the rooster.
It is the coldest time where the rooster crows.
Luke 22:54-56, 60
22:54 Having arrested Him, they led Him and brought Him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed at a distance.
22:55 Now when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them.
22:56 And a certain servant girl, seeing him as he sat by the fire, looked intently at him and said, "This man was also with Him."
22:60 But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are saying!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed.
We must watch about the love through the perseverance in committing the Prayer Service (the Golden Altar of Incense) to get the fellowship with Father God in His love, so we get the increasing love of God for facing the love which becomes cold on the last days.
Matthew 24:12
24:12 "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Many servants of God become rebellious and deny Him.
The facts found in it are as follows:
- Disobedience in the household.
Matthew 10:21-22
10:21 "Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
10:22 "And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.
The husband does not love his wife, but does bitterly toward her. The wife is hard-hearted and disobedient. The children disobey the parents. There are quarrel, sexual affair, violence in the household, hatred without a cause, up to murder.
Therefore, we must keep our marriage from the beginning, during the marriage, up to the end, namely in righteousness, holiness, and unity of marriage up to the perfect marriage.
The formula of marriage is that 1 (husband) +1 (wife) = 1. Only the cross of Christ or God's love can be in the midst of the husband and wife. The cross refers to confessing and forgiving one another. As a result, the blood of Jesus cleanses the sins, so the love increases and never becomes cold.
- Disobedience in the house of the Lord or the service and ministry to God.
Peter followed Jesus at distance. It means as follows:
- Being far away from God or prioritizing the physical things until sacrificing God or the true teaching Word.
- Looking for physical things until being unfaithful and leaving the service and ministry to God because there is no love. It means running with being naked [Mark 14:52] or being ashamed and destroyed.
- Being near the fire of the world, returning to the old life, or being near the fire of the false shepherding or fellowship. It is to warm or satisfy the flesh until denying God through the words and deeds.
Titus 1:15-16
1:15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
1:16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him,being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.
One cannot do the righteous and good deed, but only sins, uncleanness, and evil.
Consequently, he is denied by Jesus up to everlasting perdition.
Through the worship prayer service, we get the increasing love, so we can love God more than anything and willingly sacrifice our life or the flesh which is full of desires for Him. We can love others like we love ourselves. We only do good deeds until we love our enemy or repay good for evil.
Thus, we can keep the faith, hope, and love up to the perfection in the perseverance in committing the three main services to God, so we are not left behind when Jesus comes a second time.
Matthew 17:1-2
17:1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;
17:2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
If we have the faith (James), hope (Peter), and love (John), we will be able to ascend to the mountain of worship. We only worship God in facing all things. We only believe and hope the grace of God and His power which cannot be limited by the death.
The results are as follows:
- The power of life renewal from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus.
It begins from the face or heart as follows:
- The weak heart that easily gets disappoint and proud.
- The fearful, anxious, doubtful heart.
- The cold heart which is without love and obedience.
- The dark heart that is full of evil, uncleanness, and bitterness.
It must be changed to be strong and of good courage and filled up by Holy Spirit as well as love. We do not become disappointed and hopeless, but only believe and hope God. We live in faithfulness and holiness. We only worship God, regardless of anything that happens.
Being strong and of good courage is the strong foundation for receiving the mercy of God.
- The power of healing from epilepsy. It refers to the power of God's help from impossible disease.
It is also the power of healing from spiritual epilepsy or the moral destruction or being possessed by unclean spirit.
- The power of resurrection.
Mark 5:37,41-43
5:37 And He permitted no one to follow Him except Peter, James, and John the brother of James.
5:41 Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, "Talitha, cumi," which is translated, "Little girl, I say to you, arise."
5:42 Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement.
5:43 But He commanded them strictly that no one should know it, and said that something should be given her to eat.
The dead can be made alive. God can create something which does not exist yet for preserving our life in the midst of difficulties in the world up to the age of the Antichrist. The impossible can be made possible. All impossible problems are solved by God. There is beautiful and successful future life. The destroyed marriage and children can be made one.
- The power of God's employment.
Galatians 2:9
2:9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.
We are used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the edification of the perfect Christ's body. We can be the pillars, namely the example of holiness, faithfulness, and sacrifice. We willingly sacrifice all things for God.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13
13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
It continues until we are changed to be perfect for welcoming Jesus' second coming.
God blesses you.
